The next day, Lily Turner was woken up by a loud banging on the door. As she opened her bleary eyes, she realized Easton Holmes was no longer in bed.
BANG!
Someone outside, possibly waiting too long and losing patience, slammed the door open and stormed in.
Instinctively, Lily turned her head toward the bedroom door and saw Amelia Linton angrily striding towards her. Even before she reached the bed, her furious words had already hit Lily like a slap, "Lily Turner! How dare you sleep on my son's bed? Get up at once!"
As she spoke, Amelia was already at the bedside, not hesitating to bend down and yank Lily out of bed.
"Ow!"
After the exhausting ordeal last night, being pulled so roughly by Amelia made Lily cry out in discomfort.
"Aunt! I can get up on my own, save your strength. You don't look like a strongwoman." She seemed like a delicate woman, but her strength was surprising and must have been fueled by intense anger towards her.
