Sienna's POV
The water closed over my head, but I didn't die. Instead, I found myself standing in a strange place. It looked like the world was split into four parts—one part was a forest, one was a dark castle, one was a normal human town, and one was total darkness.
"Welcome to the Trial of Balance," a voice repeated around me. It sounded like my voice, but older and smarter.
I turned in circles, trying to find where the voice was coming from. "What do I have to do?"
"Complete four challenges. Find perfect balance. Save the world."
Simple, right? I took a deep breath and stepped forward. As soon as I did, the view changed. Now I stood in a perfectly round room with four doors—one made of wood, one of stone, one of metal, and one of pure shade.
The wood door opened first. A forest emerged inside it.
"Enter," the voice ordered.
