Ronan's POV
"Strike fast! Strike hard!" I yelled to my team of fighters.
Around us, the fight raged across Shadow Valley. Hundreds of shadow animals poured from cracks in the earth. But we were ready for them.
My small team moved like ghosts through the fight. We weren't fighting the main army of ghosts. We had a different job.
"There!" I pointed to a tall shadow figure ordering the others. "Take out the leaders first!"
We charged forward, our crystal guns glowing blue in the darkness. The shadow leader saw us coming and roared, sending a wave of smaller creatures our way.
"Now!" I shouted.
We split into three groups, just like we trained. One team went left, one went right, and I went straight down the middle.
The shadow creatures didn't know which group to follow. While they were confused, I slipped through their lines and reached the commander.
"Remember me?" I growled as I drove my crystal knife into its chest.
