Chapter 90 - My Little Tyrant

After Victoria left, Liam turned to Ava.

"My mom and Quinn grew up together. They're like sisters. When we get back to D.C., can you come with me to visit her?"

Ava had always been curious about Quinn, so she agreed.

Liam had a conference that afternoon. Ava had flown out just to see him and now, with the misunderstanding cleared up, she felt fully at ease.

She asked the driver to book her a return flight to D.C., but Liam wasn't ready to let her go.

"Come back with me tomorrow," he said.

"I still have work to finish," Ava replied honestly.

Liam's expression darkened slightly.

"That family archive—does he really need it that urgently?"

Ava thought for a moment. "Not really."

Liam pulled her into his arms, not too tight, not too loose, brushing a kiss into her hair.

"So tell me—which is more important? Me, or that family archive?"

What he really wanted to ask was: Am I more important, or is Ethan?
