Auri exhaled softly and wiped the sweat from his brow as the last piece of armor plates vanished into the shimmering page of the Repository. The parchment gave a faint glow as shapes emerged across the page—elegant and precise, like an old anatomical sketch.
"That's the last of it," Auri said.
Darius gave a slow nod, adjusting the grip on his sword. "Efficient."
"Still weird seeing it work like that," Hawad said, wiping his hands on his tattered trousers. "You're basically feeding a monster into a codex."
Well, he wasn't wrong.
"It's organized storage," Auri replied. "The Repository doesn't just store monster drops. It keeps everything stable. Nothing will spoil inside."
"Good," Darius said. "This one's the biggest sandworm I've ever seen. Would be a waste to let it rot in the sun."
Auri nodded, his gaze settling again on the page. Below the illustration on one crescent-shaped plate was a short description of the specific part and a few other relevant information.
