It was a room that had long not been in use so the smell was not of body heat, or foul oils, but of dust and wood. And although not as big as the emperor's, it was spacious enough and Cassius was very pleased by it.
And in that room he sat and thought about all that had happened on that day. And when he remembered the mention of Zadeus he wondered to himself, "Who knoweth if he remains loyal to me." The he made a charge in his head that he would see the bow before he stood in front of them all to pull it out.
*Knock*Knock*Knock*
Cassius' head turned from the things beyond the window which he had been staring at and he looked towards the door, "Sire, it is I, Festus Obadiah." Lazily he turned his head back towards the emptiness outside the window once again.
"Enter." Cassius simply said and thee door opened and Festus entered with his head bowed in the presence of his supreme ruler.
