Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes grew more serious. Although he had always known that Naruto's strength was formidable, he never expected it to be this terrifying.
According to Anbu's reports, Hiruzen had assumed that Naruto's power was limited to the entry level of a Kage. After all, the Third Hokage had ensured that Naruto was never given access to the Scroll of Seals, meaning he should not have learned many of the S-rank Forbidden Jutsu.
Yet, despite lacking such techniques, Naruto had reached this level just by relying on basic low-level ninjutsu. It was unbelievable.
Hiruzen's thoughts were interrupted as he quickly formed a hand seal.
"Summoning Jutsu—Monkey King Enma!"
In a puff of smoke, the mighty Enma, the Monkey King, appeared before everyone.
"Hmph! Sarutobi, I warned you before—you should've dealt with this kid long ago!" Enma growled, his sharp eyes locked onto Naruto. "You tried to use him as a pawn, but now he's out of your control. Haha!"
"Shut up, Enma!" Hiruzen snapped, his face darkened. "Transform—Adamantine Staff!"
With a loud boom, Enma instantly morphed into a massive, indestructible staff.
Naruto, standing across from them, felt black lines form on his forehead as he scoffed. "You call that a 'Golden Cudgel'? Don't insult the name—you're nothing more than a glorified load-bearing column!"
"Enough! Surrender at once!" Hiruzen commanded.
Naruto simply sneered and slammed his palms onto the ground.
"Wood Style—Cutting Jutsu!"
Sharp wooden spikes erupted from the ground, shooting toward Hiruzen with lethal precision. The Adamantine Staff trembled as the wooden spears struck, causing Enma to let out a pained grunt.
The entire battlefield fell into stunned silence.
"Impossible! Wood Style!?" one of the onlookers gasped. "Isn't that a kekkei genkai exclusive to the First Hokage?!"
Hiruzen's expression turned even graver. Another wielder of Wood Release? Such a thing could not be allowed to exist again!
"Water Style—Water Dragon Bullet Jutsu!
Lightning Style—Lightning Surge!
Combination Ninjutsu—Lightning-Infused Water Dragon!"
Hiruzen combined his Water and Lightning Release, creating a massive electrified water dragon that roared toward Naruto.
Naruto remained unfazed. He clapped his hands together.
"Earth Style—Wood Dome!"
A thick wooden dome encased Naruto, shielding him as the water dragon crashed into it. The battlefield trembled under the force, a massive cloud of steam and mist billowing into the air.
As the mist cleared, Naruto stood there, unharmed.
"Wood Style—Deep Forest Emergence!"
Countless enormous trees erupted from the earth, their thick branches stretching toward Hiruzen with terrifying speed. The Third Hokage leaped back, dodging as the tree limbs sharpened into deadly spikes aimed straight for his heart.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Three shadow clones appeared around Hiruzen, forming a protective triangular formation.
"Sealing Technique—Triple Barrier Seal!"
A translucent, green pyramid-shaped barrier materialized around Hiruzen just as the sharpened trees slammed into it. Cracks began forming almost immediately.
"Nani?!" Hiruzen's eyes widened in horror. "No! Enma!"
BOOM!
The barrier shattered, sending shockwaves across the battlefield.
Enma, still in his staff form, quickly split into dozens of golden rods, surrounding and shielding Hiruzen. From within the golden barricade, Enma stretched out an arm and forcefully shoved the giant trees away, revealing the Third Hokage once again.
Breathing heavily, Hiruzen retaliated.
He threw a shuriken at Naruto, forming quick hand seals.
"Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
The single shuriken multiplied into hundreds, then thousands, filling the sky like a metal storm.
Naruto's eyes flashed crimson. The Sharingan spun wildly in his left eye.
In an instant, massive tree branches shot out from the Deep Forest, intercepting the shuriken just before they could strike Naruto. Some of the shuriken carried explosive tags—violent detonations filled the air as they ignited on impact.
From within the smoke, Hiruzen's voice echoed:
"Enma! Extend!"
A massive golden staff burst through the smoke, hurtling toward Naruto at high speed.
Naruto smirked and casually caught the Adamantine Staff with one hand.
But then, in a sudden twist, Enma's actual arm shot out from the staff, grabbing Naruto's wrist with a vice-like grip.
"Now, Sarutobi!" Enma roared.
Hiruzen moved at lightning speed.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!
Earth Style—Earth Dragon Bullet!
Fire Style—Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!
Wind Style—Great Breakthrough!
Lightning Style—False Darkness!
Combination Ninjutsu—Five-Element Great Bullet Jutsu!"
A monstrous explosion of combined elemental attacks rushed toward Naruto. The very air trembled under the sheer destructive force.
The watching shinobi were left in awe.
"The Third Hokage truly deserves his title..." whispered one of the clan leaders. "His mastery of ninjutsu is unparalleled."
The devastating attack consumed Naruto.
"Naruto!!" Tsunade screamed, preparing to rush forward.
Anbu agents swiftly landed in front of her, blocking her path.
"Damn it!" Jiraiya and Orochimaru clenched their fists, realizing that the Anbu had completely surrounded them.
Hiruzen, panting heavily, looked around the battlefield. A small, satisfied smirk appeared on his face. He turned toward the gathered clans, silently asserting his dominance.
Many looked away, unwilling to meet his gaze.
Hiruzen straightened up proudly, preparing to declare his victory—
But then—
A massive surge of chakra erupted from the smoke.
A powerful gust of wind blew away the remnants of the explosion, revealing a terrifying sight.
Eight massive, fiery-red chakra tails swayed behind Naruto, his body surrounded by the ominous glow of the Nine-Tails Chakra Cloak.
"Impossible!" Gasps of shock filled the air. Even the legendary Sannin were left speechless.
Tsunade felt her breath hitch. "This... this is beyond anything I expected!"
Hiruzen's Five-Element attack hadn't even singed Naruto's clothes.
Casually brushing off nonexistent dust, Naruto vanished.
"So fast!" The clan leaders struggled to follow his movement.
In the blink of an eye, Naruto appeared in front of Hiruzen.
BOOM!
With a single punch, he sent the Third Hokage flying. Blood and teeth scattered through the air.
Before Hiruzen could even process the pain, Naruto reappeared, kicking him in the opposite direction. The Hokage became a human pinball, violently bouncing back and forth through the battlefield.
Blood splattered across the dirt.
Hiruzen let out a desperate scream. "Help me!"
The surrounding Anbu agents instantly launched a full-scale assault, bombarding Naruto with countless jutsu.
But before they could overwhelm him—
"Rasengan!"
Jiraiya tore through the Anbu ranks, sending multiple shinobi flying.
"Heaven Kick of Pain!"
Tsunade's foot slammed into the ground, creating a shockwave that destabilized the Anbu's formation.
In that moment, she rushed to Naruto's side, standing in front of him protectively.
Naruto, his eyes glowing ominously, slammed his palm onto the ground.
"Wood Style—Laughing Buddha Jutsu!"
Countless wooden fists erupted from the ground, instantly flattening the Anbu in a single devastating strike.
Tsunade's eyes widened as she gazed at Naruto.
Hiruzen, barely able to lift his head, whispered in desperation, "It wasn't me... It was Danzo! He planned everything!"
Naruto stepped forward, forming a Rasengan in his palm.
"There's nothing you can say now," he said coldly.
Hiruzen's eyes widened in horror as the spiraling sphere descended toward him—
Until suddenly—
A shadow flashed between them.
"Rasengan!"
