A loud voice echoed throughout Konohagakure.
"Third Hokage! Get out here!"
Inside the Hokage Office, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, sat with a grim expression. He swiftly gave instructions to Anbu, adjusted his Hokage robes, and then walked out, his face once again wearing that signature kind and wise smile.
Meanwhile, Naruto Uzumaki stormed through the village, heading straight for the Hokage Residence.
In an instant, multiple Anbu operatives appeared, blocking his path.
"Namikaze Naruto! Halt immediately!" one of them commanded. "How dare you disrespect the Third Hokage!"
The commotion drew the attention of Konoha's clan leaders, who rushed toward the scene near the Hokage Building.
"Get out of my way!" Naruto roared.
Lightning chakra surged through his body as he activated Lightning Release: Body Refinement Technique. In a flash, he launched forward like a bolt of lightning, instantly kicking an approaching Anbu out of the way.
"Naruto! Do you intend to betray the village?!" shouted an Anbu squad captain, clad in white. "Bring Yamanaka over!"
A nearby Anbu quickly formed a hand seal.
"Secret Technique: Mind Body Transmission Jutsu!"
But before it could take effect, Naruto vanished in an instant.
The Yamanaka Anbu's face turned pale. "I can't connect! His speed is too fast!"
The Anbu captain's eyes narrowed as he turned to another operative. "Your turn! Try binding him!"
The operative immediately formed a Tiger Seal, channeling his shadow toward Naruto.
"Ninja Art: Shadow Imitation Technique!"
The dark shadow shot forward, aiming to paralyze Naruto in place.
But before it could reach him—
"I said… GET OUT OF MY WAY!"
A massive earth wall erupted from the ground, blocking the shadow technique before it could take effect.
The Anbu captain's eyes widened in shock.
"What the—? That was way too fast! I didn't even see him weave hand signs!"
His grip on his kunai tightened. "Everyone! Protect Lord Hokage! Use offensive jutsu! Take him down!"
Just as multiple Anbu prepared to launch their attacks—
"Enough! Stop at once!"
The voice of the Third Hokage rang out, and the Anbu immediately halted, turning their heads toward the Hokage Building.
Hiruzen Sarutobi stepped forward, his elderly but authoritative gaze settling on Naruto.
"Naruto, what is this about?" he asked, raising a hand in a gesture of peace.
But before he could finish his sentence—
"Tch—!"
Naruto's body flashed forward, and with brutal force, he kicked Hiruzen Sarutobi across the battlefield.
BOOM!
The Third Hokage crashed into the Hokage Rock, smashing deep into the stone.
For a moment, there was complete silence.
Then—
"Namikaze Naruto! How dare you attack Lord Hokage?!" an Anbu officer yelled.
Naruto turned his sharp gaze toward him, his tone calm but mocking.
"Are you blind? Which one of your eyes saw me attack him?"
"Bastard! You still want to deny it?! Everyone saw you kick the Third Hokage away!" the Anbu captain shouted furiously.
Naruto smirked. "That wasn't an attack… That was a frontal assault."
The Anbu squad froze in place, momentarily stunned by his sheer audacity.
"Enough!"
A coughing Third Hokage emerged from the rubble, his combat uniform now visible beneath his torn robes.
Though his face was calm, deep inside, he was in shock.
"That power… That speed… I didn't even see him move before I was sent flying…"
Suppressing his surprise, Hiruzen met Naruto's cold gaze.
"Naruto… At the very least, give me a reason for this hostility."
Naruto sneered. "A reason? Heh~ Do I need a reason to beat the shit out of you?"
A vein pulsed on Hiruzen's forehead, but he quickly regained his calm.
His eyes flickered toward the watching clan leaders, and his expression became one of righteous authority.
"Attacking the Hokage without reason is an act of treason," he said smoothly. "I don't think the clans will allow you to leave here alive."
The surrounding clan heads frowned, realizing they were being used as pawns.
"Tch. This old bastard is trying to manipulate us again."
Still, they couldn't openly ignore an attack on the Hokage, so they remained wary of Naruto's next move.
Naruto ignored their stares, his piercing blue eyes never leaving Hiruzen.
"You want a reason? Fine. Answer this—"
"How did Nawaki Senju die?"
A flicker of something unreadable crossed Hiruzen's face. He suddenly sighed, wiping the corner of his eye as if shedding a tear.
"Nawaki… He dreamed of becoming Hokage. After graduating, he volunteered for the front lines, eager to contribute and earn the village's recognition. A true hero, but alas—"
"Shut the hell up!" Naruto interrupted, his voice dripping with disgust. "Do you think we're all idiots? You let the grandson of the First Hokage—a fresh Genin—march to the frontlines? Who do you think you're fooling?!"
Hiruzen winced internally, knowing there was no proper excuse.
"Tch… Damn Anbu. Couldn't they at least fabricate something better?"
"W-Well…" he tried to recover. "I actually assigned Nawaki to logistics, but he… rushed ahead on his own."
Naruto's mocking laugh echoed through the crowd.
"And what about Tsunade?!" he pressed on. "You sent a medical-nin deep into enemy territory alone to rescue a single injured ninja? Did you hit your head on a meteorite?!"
Hiruzen sighed dramatically. "The situation was dire… It was Tobirama-sama's grandson, Tanuki Senju, who was gravely injured. Tsunade left before I could send a team to accompany her. I… never expected her to be ambushed."
Naruto's face darkened.
The clan heads around them suddenly realized something.
"Wait a damn second…" one muttered. "When did the entire Senju Clan disappear?"
Another whispered, "Holy shit. Did this old man actually wipe out the First Hokage's bloodline?"
The atmosphere grew tense.
Then, in an utterly shameless move, Hiruzen abruptly shifted the blame.
"Actually," he said, "this was all Danzo's doing. He ordered Root to eliminate any potential threats to the village. He even tried to assassinate me!"
Naruto scoffed. "Oh? And yet, he's been running Root under your orders for decades?"
Hiruzen ignored the comment. "I've already revoked his position as Hokage Advisor and ordered Root to be disbanded!"
Naruto didn't even bother hiding his disgust.
"Still lying, huh? Fine. Let's settle this with our fists." He cracked his knuckles. "If you survive… I'll believe you."
Hiruzen's expression shifted.
Then, with deliberate slowness, he removed his Hokage robe, revealing his battle armor.
"Very well," he murmured, eyes narrowing. "If that's the only way to make you understand, then so be it."
In the next instant—
Naruto shot forward.
BOOM!
His fist collided with Hiruzen's face.
The battle had begun.
