So, in the end, the Devouring Core is both a blessing and a curse.
On one hand, the person can absorb and cultivate mana at a monstrous speed, far beyond what most people could ever achieve.
But on the other hand… if they don't know how to properly manage that power, it becomes a death sentence.
If they don't train seriously, or fail to get strong enough to hunt and afford high-quality food, or if they simply don't even know they have this rare condition...
Then their fate is almost certain.
Death.
Sooner or later, their body will break down, devoured by their own core.

But now that I know I have a Devouring Core, dealing with it… honestly isn't that hard!
All I need to do is eat food that's packed with both nutrients and mana. As long as the core is satisfied, it won't steal energy from my body anymore. And that means, finally, I can grow stronger! Maybe even build some real muscle, instead of being a stick with limbs!
However…
There's just one small problem.
