JUDE
The first time I saw Rin, I was intimidated. It wasn't that he was callous and very challenging from the get-go, brushing me off immediately, but because of how he was.
Who he was.
Of course, I knew who Rin was. The leader of the group I was joining, the guy I knew I had to make up for the most and impress, because I knew if I wanted in in the group, I would have to be approved by him first.
The heart of the group.
It hasn't changed, not even one bit. His effect has intensified, and now, as I walk back inside the house and go to where he is, I know that this can't be just another apology session. He is on the couch, face tilted to the ceiling, eyes closed, legs wide, and hands to his thighs.
He is as intimidating as the first day.
"Are you going to stand there the whole day?"
I paw at the sleeves, walking further in. "Can I talk to you?"
"Yeah," he sighs before sitting upright and looking at me. His eyes are bloodshot. "I wanted to speak to you, too."
