The lake's surface rippled gently, a cool breeze rustling across the verdant island.
Kamihane stood in the air, hands behind his back. He raised a hand, and with a flash from his right eye, Shimotsuki no Isshin materialized in his grip. Its long, slender blade was as bright as a mirror, a pale azure light flowing along its edge.
The blade's reflection glinted off Urashiki's face, forcing him to squint.
No more words were needed. Their gazes were filled with killing intent. With a howl of wind, the two figures clashed.
Urashiki gripped his fishing rod, swinging it in wide, sweeping arcs like strokes of ink, slender hooks darting out from unexpected angles.
But Kamihane predicted every move. In his hands, Shimotsuki no Isshin seemed to come alive.
With a graceful flourish behind his back, the spine of his blade struck a hook. A simple flick sent it careening off course, straight back toward Urashiki.
Urashiki hastily retracted the hook, only for a thin line of azure light to flash before him. The hair on his body stood on end as he swung his rod to block. Kamihane's figure appeared before him in an instant!
The blade slammed into the rod, the savage force making Urashiki's wrist tremble.
Urashiki seized the chance to create distance. The Red Light Fishing Rod glowed with a fierce crimson light as he thrust it forward.
"Amatsumikaboshi no Inochi: Goryū!"
The rod split into countless phantoms. Hundreds of beams of light erupted from its length, bathing the island in an overwhelming glow. Hundreds of crimson rays twisted together like blood-colored demonic dragons, converging to kill.
Kamihane's body flickered, leaving an afterimage as the blood dragons engulfed it. More afterimages appeared, a dozen identical figures surrounding Urashiki.
A dozen Mikazuki no Tachi blades shone brilliantly, their edges glinting like bared fangs. For a moment, Urashiki felt as if he had fallen into a meat grinder.
"Yomotsu Hirasaka!"
A crimson light flashed in his eyes, which instantly transformed into a pair of blood-red Six Tomoe Rinnegan. Two spatial rifts opened simultaneously, one in front of him and one behind.
The sword energy whistled forward, a torrent of pale azure light, passing harmlessly into the rift at his back. In the same instant, it shot out from the rift in front of him. A chaotic storm of light and shadow, the redirected slashes met the incoming ones, annihilating them completely.
Every detail was recorded by the slow,幽幽 spin of Kamihane's left eye.
"Interesting. So you can play like that," Kamihane remarked, raising an eyebrow in surprise. The phantoms merged back into one, and he spun, slashing his blade.
Clang!
Urashiki had appeared behind him like a ghost, swinging his rod to meet Kamihane's Mikazuki no Tachi as they locked in a power struggle mid-air.
"Keep it coming. Show me what the Ōtsutsuki are capable of!"
A hint of excitement touched Kamihane's face, his intricately patterned pupils burning like torches.
He gripped the hilt with one hand and took a step toward Urashiki. Water molecules automatically formed a staircase beneath his feet. Urashiki's eyes widened as he was forced back, seemingly against his will.
One step.
Two steps.
Three steps.
Urashiki's expression twisted. Even with both hands on his rod, he was being relentlessly pushed back!
Kamihane strolled forward as if climbing stairs, sparks flying from the constant clash of blade and rod. It was as if Urashiki were as light as a feather.
"Damn you!" Urashiki's eye twitched. He broke the deadlock, pulling back and swinging the rod in a wide arc, bringing it down on Kamihane's head.
Kamihane scoffed, raising his blade to meet it.
Light and shadow intertwined, the clang of metal ringing incessantly. After several exchanges, it was clear Kamihane's strength was superior. Each clash forced Urashiki to shift, to spin his body to dissipate the force traveling up his rod.
To a third party, it looked as if Kamihane were playing with Urashiki, spinning him like a top.
Sparks of crimson flew amidst the dense collisions.
After several bouts, Kamihane still had one hand behind his back, looking completely at ease. Urashiki, however, couldn't take it anymore. His wrists ached as if they would snap.
He took a direct hit, sent crashing into the island by Kamihane's blow, but he used the opportunity to create distance!
The Red Light Fish Basket moved to his shoulder, its opening aiming at Kamihane in the sky like an anti-aircraft gun. The next moment, dust flew as countless massive earthen spears shot out.
Kamihane's eyes lit up, the magnificent patterns of his Mangekyō Sharingan swirling in a crimson glow. A skeletal frame manifested, instantly enveloping him. Amidst a surge of black chakra, a giant four-armed titan roared and stomped down toward the island.
Crack! Crack!
This was the Fourth Stage full-body Susanoo, known as the "Mature Form"—a power only accessible to those with the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. It retained the balance and abilities of the second stage while covering the defensive gap of the lower body, granting it outstanding mobility and durability!
The Susanoo descended against the torrent of spears. The earthen projectiles were no obstacle, shattering against its dark, armored surface.
A jet-black giant tore through the dust cloud, its feet carrying immense kinetic energy. Like a meteor falling from the heavens, it slammed onto the island.
The ground shook violently. A massive shockwave sent out a gale-force wind, snapping trees and sending waves of water splashing in all directions!
"Don't get cocky!"
Urashiki reappeared in mid-air, having clearly dodged the terrifying impact. The Red Light Fish Basket sparked, aimed at Kamihane's Susanoo.
A wave of heat rose as a raging sea of fire erupted, flooding the forest like a flash flood!
He wasn't finished. He pushed the basket again, squeezing out the last of his Wind Release. The wind condensed into a high-pressure sphere, blasting into the sea of fire like a cannonball. The wind fanned the flames, and the raging wall of fire surged dozens of meters high!
Boom!
The Susanoo crossed its four arms, blocking the fire's advance, but the wind pressure still pushed it back, its feet carving deep trenches in the ground.
Kamihane's lips curled upwards. He clenched his fist in the air.
The chakra within him erupted like a tidal wave. His black hair floated as if weightless. The Susanoo outside him exploded with a dense black mist. Plates of armor assembled all over its body, its already massive frame growing even taller. The Tengu armor transformed into a cloak, partially covering its head, finally restoring it to its true size.
The sea of fire stopped its advance, parting around the Susanoo's body.
Kamihane also moved from the giant's abdomen to its head, as if in the command center of a central brain.
Normally, it could have ended here.
But Kamihane had no intention of stopping.
"Tsumu!"
The Susanoo moved its arms, forming a perfect "Tiger" hand seal. A tsunami of chakra raged, the black energy forming even finer scales that armored the giant's imposing body. The massive form grew taller still, becoming a war god that touched the heavens and stood on the earth!
The giant reached out, pulling a colossal, straight spear from the black mist. The spear's shaft was like a dragon, majestic and fearsome. The Tengu Mask on the giant's head clamped shut completely. A pair of brilliant white eyes shot out dazzling beams of light. As the winds swirled, the Complete Body Susanoo had arrived!
It blotted out the sun, casting a massive shadow over the island.
No words could describe its majestic, domineering form. It was still clearly the dōjutsu "Susanoo," but it was far larger than any previous form.
The flow of chakra stabilized, the deep black energy fully contained. It was dark, powerful, and profound, inspiring awe, as if born for the sole purpose of destruction!
Kamihane stood within the hexahedron at its brow, looking down on Urashiki like a god descended to the mortal realm. The Complete Body Susanoo spread its massive black wings and let out a heaven-shaking roar.
