As Cashew was about to start coating the Orb in his Mana, he heard a loud ruckus outside and collapsed out of his chair from the head pain. The noise outside making it several times worst.
The Noise eventually stopped long enough for Cashew to stand up and head towards the door and see what the noise was.
Opening the door and looking outside, Cashew was relieved that it wasn't the guards, but it was a group of people he didn't recognize.
The group was lead by a woman, she had long Black hair and was wearing a Tight fitting purple Robe and a matching Cloak that went down to her ankles. She seemed to be the leader.
The Woman at the front was quite attractive, but everyone behind her looked like their favorite meal was the hoof of a horse, even the other women. All of them were wearing armor and wielding melee weapons. The woman in purple seemed to be the only magic user, of course, that's based off of appearances alone. For all Cashew knew, everyone there was a Magic User and the woman in Purple was the only one dedicated to Magic.
There were 7 people, including the Woman in purple, and something peculiar was happening outside. Cashews 4 Stone Golems were fighting Skeletons. There were over 20 Skeletons, all wielding weapons and shields that were in no better condition than what Goblins would use.
To be fair, it wasn't really a fight, the Stone Golems would punch a skeleton, it would shatter instantly only to rebuild itself 5-10 seconds later. Cashew had been refilling the Golems Cores everyday, regardless on if they need it, so the Golems should be fine in the long run.
The Woman instantly noticed Cashew and looked at him with disgust in her eyes.
Woman in Purple: Hey, Rodent!
Cashew knew she was talking to him, as she was looking at him when she said that, but Cashew didn't like being called a Rodent, so his stubborn nature kicked in and he ignored her, watching the Stone Golems obliterate the Skeletons over and over.
Woman in Purple: *Sigh* Hey, Crotch Goblin.
Cashew ignored her even more consistently, not enjoying that name either.
The woman pinched the bridge of her nose, clearly annoyed.
Woman in Purple: I swear, this is why I hate kids. Since you refuse to respond. You can die.
With Zero hesitation, the woman raised her hand and launched an Ice Spike at Cashew, Cashew noticed this and immediately raised a Magical Barrier around him, blocking the Ice Spike with zero effort.
Cashew looked at the woman with distain in his eyes.
Cashew: Oh, Hello Purple Whore! Don't you think that was rude?
Woman in Purple: Rude? You're gonna call me a Whore than start preaching about how I'm rude? *Sigh* I'm not interested in you, get Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest out here. And tell them to get rid of these Golems! They're annoying!
Cashew: Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest?
Woman in Purple: Yes, get them out, I'm losing my patience.
Cashew remembered 3 guys who lived in this cabin before him, and he was wondering if they were the Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest she was talking about.
Cashew: Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest? By any chance was one of them toothless? Or almost toothless?
Woman in Purple: Yes, now get them out! Im losing my patience with you.
Cashew: They died 5 years ago. The Nearby Village guards had their bodies, I don't know if they still do as it's been 5 years, those Golems are mine, I will not tell them to back down, and I don't like you, so get lost. This is my cabin now.
Woman in Purple: Bullshit, you're too young to have Golems, at best, you're one of the dumbasses punching bags. Now get the Dumbass crew out here before I burn that entire Cabin down.
Cashew: *sigh* Billie Nelson. The Skeletons aren't worth worrying about. Attack the woman and her friends-... Actually, all of you Stone Golems, Stop fighting the Skeletons and focus on the group. Wood Golems, you take over with fighting the Skeletons. Steal the skeletons weapons and use them when you get the chance.
Cashew gave his Golems the orders and 6 Wood Golems that the group of invaders didn't know about emerged from the forest and took over on fighting the Skeletons, meanwhile, the Stone Golens surrounded the Woman in Purple and her friends. All of them stepping forward and shielding the Woman in Purple with their bodies and shields.
The Stone Golems wasted no time, 1 of them stepping forward and throwing and throwing a punch at one of the invaders, an Ugly man with patchy blonde hair and a handlebar moustache, he lifted his shield to block the punch, which connected with his shield and sent him stumbling backwards, bumping into the person behind him, who was a Woman with a Mohawk and black paint around her eyes.
Another Golem did the same thing to the invader on the other side, throwing a punch that was blocked by a shield, but this invader was in the chunkier side and absorbed it better, not falling back at all. His shield was obviously of lower quality though, as it was now bending inwards below the shield handle.
Cashew wasn't really paying attention and was more focused on the Wood Golems and the Skeletons. The Skeletons intrigued him. He could tell that they were powered by runes, he wasn't the best with runes, he barely touched the surface of his Rune book, but he was interested in the skeletons and how they differed from his Golems.
Not paying attention to his surroundings and focusing fully on the Skeletons, Cashew failed to notice that the Woman in Purple was now standing behind him. Looking inside the cabin as Cashew didn't shut the door behind him.
Her eyes fell upon all the crystals in the corner, stacked higher than she was tall and her eyes filled with greed. She turned around and noticed Cashew still hadn't noticed her, she noticed him watching the Skeletons, though.
The Woman in Purple approached Cashew from behind and put her hands on his shoulders, leaning forward so that her head is near his shoulder. Cashew was caught off guard from her putting her hands on his shoulders, she pointed at the Skeletons and Wood Golems
Woman in Purple: You are interested in the Skeletons? Maybe you were telling the truth about the Golems being yours as the dumbasses aren't inside the cabin. You could probably do really good in Necromancy, but we will never know as your life ends here.
As she finished her sentence, the Woman in Purple suddenly plunged a Dagger into the back of Cashews neck, cutting straight through his spine and throat, coming out the other side. Instead of pulling the Dagger out, she ripped it out from the side, almost beheading Cashew, but what shocked her was the fact that Cashew was fine and the wound she inflicted was healing. It was fully healed before her arms even fell back to her side.
Staring at the insane regeneration for a few seconds, she then burst out laughing, instantly recognizing that the insane Healing was because Cashew ate dragon meat at some point.
Woman in Purple: Fucking hell, kid! You even managed to consume Dragon Meat at some point? You consumed Dragon Meat, you got several Golems, you're Talented in magic, and you got a literal mountain of Crystals inside here? I normally hate kids, but you're honestly worth taking as an Apprentice! This would even make up for the fact that your Golems killed my subordinates!
As she said that, Cashew looked at the Stone Golems and noticed that all of the Woman's followers were dead except for the chunky one, his previous shield was broken and he was using the shield of one of his dead friends to barely block the Golems attacks.
Focusing entirely on his front, the chunky man didn't notice that one of the Golems was now behind him. He only noticed when The Golems fist had connected with his spine, immediately taking away his conscious and sending him falling to the ground.
Woman in Purple: Although let me let you in on a little secret... Those Skeletons are Cannon Fodder. No competent Necromancer would rely on those types of Skeletons alone. They simply exist to do Manual Labor and maybe wear down an enemy. The Necromancer equivalent to a Wood Golem.
Cashew: Sorry, I'm stubborn and hold grudges. Not interested in being an Apprentice.
Cashew turned around to face the woman, having to look up at her, he was interested in the skeletons and Necromancy, but he wanted to be stubborn.
Cashew Raised his hand and prepared a Water Ball, over the years. He learned to control the temperature of a Water Ball, so now he could make it boiling hot or freezing cold. He could even make it an inferior version of Ice Ball if he wanted. Cashew Launched the Water Ball at her, he had the temperature at Ice cold. As cold as he could make it while remaining a liquid.
The Woman in Purple noticed it and immediately Dodged to the left, finding herself between the Cabin and the surrounding forest, the other side of the cabin overlooked a small, but steep hill. She sighed inwardly, not expecting Cashew to refuse her offer, but thinking his reason made sense. She did stab him in the neck after all.
Woman in Purple: *Sigh* you seem decent to take as an apprentice, so I'll be patient with you, I'll even play with you a little bit until you learn that my offer is a good deal.
After she finished talking, all the Skeletons she had previously had disappeared, as a portal appeared underneath them and dragged them in. The bodies of the people she came with were also taken away by portals.
Afterwards, she released newer Undead soldiers, these new ones looked much better than the previous ones, their bones looked healthier and thicker, there were 6 of them, 3 had high quality looking Tower shields and spears while the other 3 Had Great bows that were the same height as the skeletons themselves. The arrows they used were very big and menacing looking. The arrows looked like jousting spears, but sharper and deadlier looking.
Woman in Purple: That should be enough to deal with those Stone Golems.
Without Cashews Orders, the Stone Golems charged at the 6 New Skeletons, who were summoned right in front of the Woman in Purple. Cashew Didn't interfere with the Stone Golems, but ordered the Wood Golems to retreat,
Woman in Purple: Stone Golems are immune to all forms of magic Tier 3 and lower, with the only exception being Ice Magic. They are also immune to all physical Damage except for blunt and Piercing. Stone Golems are a great summon for most Mages because of these reasons. They are also cheap in materials and easy to control. So lots of mages like to use them. I even have a few Stone Golems. I made this group of Skeletons to deal with Stone Golems and similar enemies.
After she finished talking, two of the Stone Golems threw punches at the Skeletons, who raised their tower shields and blocked the punches, they absorbed the punch better than the chunky guy from earlier.
As the Punches connected, the 3 Skeletons in the back loaded an arrow and drew the drawstring, then, the Skeletons with Tower shields ducked and the arrows were released. All 3 Arrows aimed at 1 Golem, targeting the head and both legs. The legs were pierced with no effort and the Golem Collapsed, but not before the arrow aimed at its head landed, turning the head into several mini pieces of stone.
