They all turned their gaze to where the voice came from. Matteo stepped into the clearing, a mischievous grin on his face, holding a bag marked with the golden arches of McDonald's.
"Here," he said, approaching them with a confident stride, "I ordered this just for you." As he drew near, he revealed the what he held within the bag, one steaming cup of rich black coffee, one cup of iced Americano and a decadent chocolate cake.
Holland and Benjamin exchanged glances, their eyes wide in disbelief between their horrible concoction of coffee and the aromatic coffee Matteo held.
"This is unfair!" Benjamin exclaimed, his face a mixture of awe and envy, disappointment shadowing his features.
"Matteo, you're such a coward!" Holland exclaimed, hands on his hips. "Elisa just asked for coffee. What's the harm in making it?"
