Reaching near where the beast was, the Grey Knight stood his ground, staring the monstrosity dead in its many eyes. Despite being very far away, the beast knew someone was watching it. With an angry roar, it began demolishing the remaining buildings, trying to find where the gaze was coming from.
Titus merely continued his gaze, his silent vigil searching for its weakness...
Damn, how on Terra did the Demons gain access to the technology of the Mekanicum!? What on Terra am I missing, what is the missing link!?
Despitethe unholy abomination that was wrecking the city in front of him, Titus was too busy in his thoughts, for he once again found it incongruous that, for a medieval-level society, there seemed to be an awful lot of Mechanical creatures. But he soon snapped from his stupor, forbidding the cries for help became more and more numerous as time went on.
Shit! Either way, saving them comes first. I can slowly discuss it with the others once we return...
And with another jump, Titus leapt towards the new battlefield...

As the beast continued its rampage, more and more people began giving up hope, for it dawned upon them that they had no saviour. Parents held their loved ones in their arms as the chimaera came closer, not wanting to leave without each other. Lovers held themselves in their arms, saying their last words to each other.
They had given up, making peace wherever possible, for there was no saviour...
Or that was what they believed
Whoosh!
Suddenly, bright orange fire lit in the sky, as something flew straight at the beast, smacking it right on its face. At the sudden impact, it staggered, tumbling down onto its back. Before it could register what had hit it, the being took out some small canisters, pulling what appeared to be a ring above, before dropping them into one of its many mouths.
Kaboom!
A large explosion rocked through its torso, sending the hero into the air. As the beast roared in pain, the knight landed on its feet. Shaking himself of dust, he turned around, only to realise that he was near shocked civilians.
"I-impossible..."
"I-it cannot be..."
"I thought he was just a legend..."
As the surviving people began crowding around their hero, they began whispering to each other, unable to believe what lay in front of them:
There, in front of their very eyes, was a legend made manifest. A saviour who came with blazing wings when their race was on its last legs. A hero who drove back the darkness that manifested centuries ago...
The Grey Knight had...
Returned!
Unable to believe their eyes, the older ones who still remembered the Empire of Sin began crying, for they knew they were saved. Meanwhile, the younger ones watched in awe as their fairy tale came to life.
"Go back! The enemy is far too strong for the likes of you! You will perish in the ensuing battle if you go so!"
A rough mechanical voice came from the helmet, as Titus warned them to head back, lest they be killed in the ensuing battle. He did not want more blood to fall than there was...
Without hesitation, they all moved back, heeding his words.
They knew in their hearts he would never betray them
With a final look, he flew back into the sky, prepared for the final fight...

As the beast stood back up, smoke continued to pour out of its mouth. Swatting the air, it tried to knock down its foe (which it still believed was there).
Feeling nothing, it grew proud, believing that it had taken it down. With a giant roar, ot leered back at the city, prepared to finish its job. Just as it was about to continue its destruction, it heard the dreadful noise once more. Before it could do anything, it was knocked back once more, this time with more force.
His fists glowing, Titus maneuvered to its right, dodging the frantic counterattack. When it was kneeling too far to the left, he brought out his Bolter.
With a single shot to its leg, Titus blew it off, flesh raining down the sky.
The beast, although reeling in pain, did not take much heed to it, for it believed that it would regenerate its wounds back again. That's how it was, that's how it always will be...
Only this time, it never healed
Roaring once more in anger, it struck towards where Titus was. Only this time, Titus felt panic in its voice, a testament that his attack had worked. With arms glowing gold, he began pummelling it an inch to its life.
As each attack landed with ruthless efficiency, the people below could not help but grow more and more in awe as they saw their hero defeating the beast that destroyed their beloved city,
Their beloved country
With each punch, the chimaera began losing its ground more and more, until it could no longer stand on its feet. Seeing that his prey was nearly all out of steam, Titus lifted his fists one last time, channelling as much Wootsforce as possible.
That's when his eyes shrank in fear
Feeling itself to be in grave danger, the chimaera realised that it was going to die. Not willing to die alone, it planned to take everything with it to its grave. With a final desperate roar, it began swelling, growing to such a point that its destruction would reduce the continent of Folicia into a barren wasteland. Damn it! If I release Court Of Faith, they would know I still live! But the people...
Turning his head, he looked back once more. Huddled in corners lay people, shivering in fear, all holding hands with their beloved. Yet when his gaze landed among them, he saw hope bloom in their eyes, smiles once again forming. Inside his helmet, he closed his eyes, deliberating, until he realised what he must do.
With a soft sigh, he unleashed his ultimate
"Domain expansion..."
Silence filled the region, as the people, in reverence, saw buildings of old rise from the ground. Temples and monasteries lit themselves up with braziers, as soft chanting floated across the air, their voices calming the taught nerves of the survivors.
Wir schützen diejenigen, die hilfe suchen...
Unwissenheit sollte beseitigt werden, denn sie ist unser feind...
Denn verliere nicht die hoffnung, denn wir sind hier...
Theirhearts calm, they instinctively headed into the empty buildings, where they sheltered them from the incoming storm. Seeing that all of the people were safe, Titus released his final attack.
As the chantings reached a crescendo, his fist gained more and more power, so much that it glowed a blazing golden fire. With a final cry, he launched it straight through the beast.
Gazing at the incoming blast, it did not move. It knew it had no chance, for the attack was unblockable. With a final mournful cry, its chest was vapourised, revealing a bronze, mechanical core. It floated in the air for a brief moment, before it disintegrated into ashes, floating on the air.
As soon as it vanished, the moaning faces began smiling.
"Thank you...for releasing us...from...our eternal misery..."
With a final sigh, the chimaera turned into dust, its ashes floating into the air.
