"Me?" Fiona echoed, still in denial that she heard right. He walked towards her and stretched his hand to assist her to her feet.
Her face was pale with shock, with confusion evident on it. She had a lot of questions to ask, but the crowd kept applauding both of them.
With hesitation, she stretched her hand towards Bradford. She was sure that he'd have a good explanation for everything afterwards.
She locked her hands with his and she stood up and walked to his side. The crowd continued to cheer and applause, but there was one person seated at the left corner of the room. She didn't bother smiling or clapping like the rest. Bradford swallowed hard, she still didn't flinch from his actions.
"What are you doing?" She whispered to him, as she was still trying to wrap her head around what was happening.
"Just trust me. You're my woman for today,"
