Chapter 138 - A Group of Black Muscle Bros

"What's going on? Why did Tohka suddenly call me down here?" Miku Izayoi looked at Tohka in confusion, not understanding why she was suddenly summoned.

"There's someone who needs your help. Try to end the concert first. A fight's already broken out outside. It hasn't reached here yet, but if panic breaks out, we..."

Looking at Miku Izayoi in front of her, Tohka was just about to have her end the event—but at that moment, an explosion suddenly came from outside. Immediately followed by screaming. Hearing this, Tohka stopped talking and flew out immediately. "I'll go stop them. You keep order—and don't use your mind control power."

Even as she rushed off, Tohka didn't forget to remind Miku. If she slipped up and used her power, it would cause big trouble later.

"These guys… they really made it all the way here."

As soon as she stepped outside, Tohka saw a big hole blown open in the ceiling. She didn't know who caused it, but the level of destruction suggested it might have been one of Tony's missiles that somehow went off course—and hit their own roof. Fortunately, the blast was powerful enough to shatter the ceiling into fragments, meaning the people below didn't suffer much damage.

But one thing had to be said—Americans really had good emergency instincts.

At least, Tohka didn't see anyone running around in panic.

Everyone inside was lying flat on the ground.

Seemed like they knew this was the safest option.

"What's the situation outside? Whatever, I'll go check."

Seeing the people outside, Tohka flew out directly—only to witness a fiery battlefield.

Right now, including Black Widow, each person was handling two or three enemies at once.

But poor Spider-Man… he was being chased around by more than ten people.

"Hey, Tohka, help me out already! A whole bunch of black muscle bros are chasing me! You know I already have a girlfriend—I don't swing that way!"

The moment he saw Tohka, Spider-Man—who was being chased all over—immediately called out for help.

He was in a miserable state today, being hunted nonstop.

And strangely, neither Black Widow nor Hawkeye had used deadly force.

"What the hell is going on? These symbiotes seem to have your powers."

Tohka flew in front of Spider-Man and released a burst of magical power, blasting away the group of black muscle bros behind him.

She was puzzled. As far as she knew, he hadn't been infected by Venom. Otherwise, she would've sensed something.

"I don't know either! These things feel so weird—like they're me, but I don't remember ever coming into contact with them!"

Hearing her words, Spider-Man was also getting frustrated.

But luckily, Tohka had arrived just in time, and he could finally catch his breath. He'd really been having a rough time.

"These things... are trouble."

Frowning at the swarm of lunatics charging at her, Tohka raised her greatsword. Then, she sent out a blast of sword energy.

"Waaah!"

The black musclemen let out sharp screeches and quickly leapt to the sides, dodging the attack.

Their reaction speed was impressive—perhaps they had inherited Spider-Man's reflexes to some extent.

But it wasn't clear just how much.

"Stop, Tohka!"

Just as she was about to launch a second attack, someone held her back.

Turning around, she saw a web stuck to her arm—shot by Spider-Man.

She had to admit, the guy was strong—he actually pulled her off-balance while she was unprepared.

"These people are being controlled by that thing. We spent a ton of effort just to take one down before. But then the black goo just ran onto the nearest person, and the original host looked totally dazed afterward."

He knew how powerful Tohka was—if these people took even one hit from her in reality, they'd basically be dead.

"Yeah, these things... wait, how can they still shoot webs like you?"

Just then, a few of the black-suited guys raised their arms and shot out black strands toward Tohka.

But this time, Tohka was prepared.

With a flick of her hand, a barrier appeared in front of her, blocking the goo.

Then, she released a wave of spiritual energy, blasting them all apart.

"I have no idea. I'm frustrated too."

Turning to look at some people circling from the other side, Spider-Man rushed over again.

Most of the attackers had already been handled by Tohka, so not many were left.

"Hey, hey, has anyone ever gotten a hold of your blood?"

Watching the confused Spider-Man, Tohka dodged a black tight-suit charging at her and changed her line of questioning.

She remembered that Spider-Man's blood might have that kind of effect.

"Wait! Now that you say that, I remember!"

At that moment, Spider-Man slapped his forehead.

"I saw the Red Cross hosting a blood drive for the casualties from our big fight that day. So, I went over and donated some blood."

"You idiot! Don't you know your blood might be like a drug to ordinary people?"

"I remember you're pretty skilled in biology. You even interned at Oscorp!"

Before Tohka could respond, Tony—who had just repelled a symbiote-possessed enemy—stepped in to scold him.

He had always kept an eye on Spider-Man, but he didn't expect the kid to make such a dumb mistake.

"I didn't know! I just wanted to help people..."

Spider-Man looked innocent.

He only wanted to help.

He didn't expect things to turn out like this.

But now, hearing Tony say that, he realized his blood might have caused this whole mess.

"You... I really want to slap you right now."

Glaring at him, Tohka watched as several more black-suited figures charged at her.

She amped up her power to the max—planning to blast them all away.

As for whether their hosts survived or not, she couldn't worry about that anymore.

Because right behind them was the concert venue.

If they broke in, then things would get really dangerous.

But just then—

A powerful tremor suddenly shook the ground beneath her feet.
