"This isn't something you need to worry about, just come over tonight."
But Nick Fury clearly didn't want to tell Tohka directly, only asking her to come over at night. It seemed like he was eager to get this matter done and move on to other business.
"Deal, I'll be there tonight."
Since Nick Fury wouldn't say, she didn't bother asking. After agreeing, Tohka hung up the phone.
Meanwhile, in another building in New York, Kingpin welcomed a special guest. This man had thick hair and beard, but the most shocking thing was his eyes.
There were no normal pupils or whites, only a terrifying gleam. The aura he unintentionally released made everyone in the room except Kingpin tremble uncontrollably.
"This guy…"
Frowning at the man in front of him, Kingpin was unfazed by his aura. At this moment, he was already slightly regretting rescuing this guy.
Locked in a zero-gravity prison cell with all four limbs restrained for twenty years, it was clear this guy's mental state was a mess.
Kingpin had seen strong people before, but real powerhouses could perfectly control their aura, unlike this guy who was like a ticking bomb.
"Hello there, Graviton, Mr. Franklin Hall."
But thinking was one thing, Kingpin didn't show it on his face. After all, this guy was at least temporarily pacified by a low-level telepath.
The most important thing now was to avoid provoking him, because that telepath's level was too low.
Kingpin had already decided that once Tohka appeared, no matter what, he would throw this guy at her. He definitely didn't want a powerful madman staying near him.
"Why did you free me? Whatever, it's good anyway. Nick Fury locked me up for so long—it's time he paid the price."
Hearing Kingpin's words, Graviton didn't respond but directly asked about his enemy Nick Fury's whereabouts. After all, it was Fury who had captured and imprisoned him for over a decade.
"Hmm, no need to rush."
Kingpin calmly reassured Graviton but inwardly was delighted. An idea flashed through his mind and he immediately acted on it: "Hold on, let me show you a video."
Then he handed over a laptop. On the screen appeared a figure wearing purple armor and wielding a giant sword.
"Who's this? Are you playing with me? Nick Fury is a man, and you're trying to trick me with some woman?"
Clearly, after being locked up for so long, Graviton's mind wasn't exactly normal. He immediately thought Kingpin was trying to fool him.
"Mr. Franklin Hall, please calm down and listen to me."
Even Kingpin was a bit scared by this guy. This was clearly a lunatic. Meanwhile, Kingpin was already thinking about how to cut ties with him but didn't slow his mouth: "She's Nick Fury's top general. Kill her, and he will definitely show up."
"Is that so? I get it. Where is she? I'll kill her now."
Hearing Kingpin's explanation, Graviton's eyes gleamed. Suddenly, everyone in the room felt the ground lighten beneath them, as if they were about to float into the air.
"Wait, Franklin Hall, listen to me!"
Seeing this, Kingpin shouted loudly: "Give me two days, and I'll draw her out for you. Please calm down first!"
"Fine, I'll leave it to you. I'm going to rest. Let me know when she shows up."
Without saying more, Graviton turned and left.
"Boss, about that guy…"
Watching Graviton leave, Kingpin's assistant asked worriedly. This guy was simply too dangerous; he didn't believe Graviton would actually follow their plans.
"I know. We'll just throw this guy at the Stark girl. Whether he wins or loses, we lose nothing. Hmph, damn Hydra bastards, they sent me a bomb, alright."
"Trying to drag the Stark family and me into a mutual destruction so they can swoop in afterward?"
Kingpin sneered coldly as he watched Graviton leave. He wasn't stupid—he knew exactly what Hydra was up to: "Hmph, like I'd let them get what they want. What about the personnel who went to break him out?"
"Except for a few of our trained death soldiers… the others…"
Saying this, his assistant made a throat-slitting gesture. Following Kingpin for so long, he knew his boss too well.
"Good. Assign some people to take turns monitoring the telepath. Keep feeding mental suggestions to Graviton until he completely forgets we saved him. You know what to do after."
Hearing his assistant's reply, Kingpin nodded with satisfaction. Honestly, this time he had spent a lot to deal with Tohka. Many death soldiers were sacrificed just to break Graviton out.
"Understood."
Hearing Kingpin's order, the assistant broke into a cold sweat. His boss was truly thorough.
Honestly, he hadn't wanted to kill the telepath—after all, that guy's powers were somewhat useful—but given the risk, it was better to eliminate him.
Judging by the situation, the upcoming battle between Graviton and Tohka would definitely be catastrophic, probably tearing up half of New York. And if that happened, he definitely couldn't shoulder the blame.
While they were making their plans, Tohka arrived at the designated meeting spot in the evening. Several agents were already waiting for her.
"Strange, what kind of trick are you pulling again? Don't tell me you built your lab under the sea? You SHIELD guys sure know how to play."
You couldn't blame Tohka for saying this, because where she came there was nothing—no harbor, nothing but an endless ocean.
"No, this isn't the place, Miss Tohka. Please come with us, the Director is waiting for you."
Hearing Tohka's comment, one of the black-clad agents took out a remote control and pressed a button. Instantly, a hovering aircraft appeared in front of her.
"This is…"
Alright, Tohka was genuinely startled. Marvel's black technology really was something else. They actually created a machine capable of optical invisibility.
