"Yeah, it's here, no mistake. Let's charge in." Still being carried upside down by Tohka in the air, Spider-Man quickly spotted their target. After all, in this small town, this was the only fenced-off area.
"Got it, let's go." Then Tohka brought the Spider-Man down from the air, landing directly on the roof of the building.
"Who's there, who's up there?"
To be fair, the defenses here weren't bad. As soon as Tohka landed on the rooftop, someone noticed them.
Unfortunately for them, no one had expected someone to enter from the sky, so it would take a while before anyone rushed up here.
But both Tohka and Spider-Man could feel the commotion coming from the building below, clearly indicating that the people inside had started moving.
"Looks like we've been discovered. This must be the place you were talking about. And hey, their defenses aren't bad. From the outside it looked normal, but inside it's pretty tight."
Despite being surrounded, Tohka didn't look worried at all. Instead, she had the leisure to tease Spider-Man.
"Uh, yeah, no time to waste. Don't forget, places like this usually have hidden escape tunnels for emergencies. We need to act fast. We caught them off guard only because we appeared right on their roof, but not for long."
Unlike the carefree Tohka, the little spider couldn't relax. A few nights ago, he had run into Daredevil, who had kindly given him quite the crash course on these matters.
After all, this wasn't a big city; digging a few tunnels here would be way too easy.
"Alright, let's move. Stay sharp."
Hearing Spider-Man's words, Tohka stopped wasting time. She aimed the cannon mounted on her armor directly at the rooftop and blasted a hole open.
"Yeah, good idea. Let's go, suppressive fire!"
Seeing the hole blasted open, Spider-Man immediately jumped down. Soon, the sounds of fighting and his usual chatter filled the air.
"This guy... whatever, I'll find another entrance."
Seeing how lively the building became once the little spider entered, Tohka didn't wait either. But she wasn't going to jump in through the same hole. Instead, she blasted a new one and jumped down from another direction.
Seeing another hole blasted open and another armored figure descending, the people inside momentarily froze.
Then a portion of them redirected their guns toward Tohka.
In an instant, hundreds of bullets rained down on her, but although Tohka's senses weren't as sharp as Spider-Man's, her defensive shield wasn't for show. The bullets hit her barrier without causing even the slightest reaction.
Worse yet, because they were so close, the bullets bounced around after hitting her shield, injuring quite a few of the shooters themselves.
"Jarvis, help me aim at these people."
Tohka didn't plan to fight them one by one. With Jarvis assisting her aim, her body lit up with a brilliant purple glow, and then countless energy blasts fired out, accurately hitting every enemy. In an instant, the once chaotic room fell completely silent.
"Wow, even though it's not the first time I've seen it, it still amazes me every time. That was incredible. Uh, they're not dead, right?"
As Tohka's barrage ended, the little spider breathed a sigh of relief. Then, using the system in his suit, he quickly shot out webs to seal their wounds to prevent blood loss.
He clearly remembered that during a previous battle, Tohka had completely blasted Lizard Doctor's tail to bits—and these people didn't have skin anywhere near as tough as Lizard Doctor's.
"Relax, I'm not the Third Spirit, I wouldn't kill so casually. I didn't use much power, they're just unconscious."
Maybe because she inherited the spirits' power, Tohka had always been reluctant to kill. Of course, if it were Kurumi instead, she would've just used them as nourishment.
"Alright, don't forget our goal. We haven't seen the drugs yet. They're probably in a room below. Let's blast the floor open."
Spider-Man didn't understand Tohka's reference to the Third Spirit but he kept focused on the mission. If they let anyone escape, they could be charged with trespassing on private property.
"I know, don't worry. They won't get away."
Tohka wasted no time. After blasting through two more floors, they reached an underground factory. Inside, a bunch of people wearing white lab coats and masks were frantically trying to clean up.
But when they saw Tohka drop in, they froze. Then, in the next instant, they pulled out guns and started shooting at her.
"Hey, aren't you guys just wasting your money? Don't you know that your little peashooters are useless against this lady?"
At that moment, a lazy voice sounded behind them. The people turned to see a blur, and suddenly the guns in their hands disappeared. A guy wearing a red and blue skintight suit appeared behind them.
"Oops, sorry, no entry allowed here! And your stuff? Yeah, it's all mine now."
Spider-Kid held a pile of confiscated guns in one hand and snatched up a crate of goods with the other, casually taunting the group.
While Tohka drew everyone's attention, Spider-Man had quietly circled around and attacked from behind.
But to his surprise, two people closest to him exchanged a look, then raised their fists to try and attack.
However, something hilarious happened—their fists hit the guns stuck to Spider-Man's hand. With a loud smack, the idiots ended up hugging their hands in pain, wailing miserably.
"Oof. Tough guys, huh? Guess your fists aren't as hard as you thought!"
