Master Roshi lifted his sunglasses and gazed into the sky, recalling his past experience of climbing Karin Tower and competing with Korin for the "Super Holy Water." It was during those three years of training at Karin Tower that he earned the title of Martial Arts God.
"Why do you think I know the location of Karin Tower?" Master Roshi asked curiously.
John smiled and said, "Master Roshi, you're the Martial Arts God. If you don't know the location of Karin Tower, who else would I ask?"
Master Roshi replied, "I do know the location of Karin Tower. It's in the Holy Land of Karin. You just need to fly north without stopping until you see a tall, white tower rising into the clouds."
"Thank you, Master Roshi. I'll be on my way," John said, and he boarded the plane and flew north.
As he watched John fly away in the distance, Master Roshi fell into deep thought.
At that moment, Krilin asked, "Master Roshi, what is Karin Tower that John mentioned?"
Master Roshi then explained to Krilin about his connection to Karin Tower. When Krilin heard that Master Roshi had trained at Karin Tower for three years to obtain the "Super Holy Water," he was astonished...
Meanwhile, John, who had been flying north, decided to land on a nearby island instead of continuing his journey.
John had two purposes for this visit. The first was to obtain the location of Karin Tower, and the second was to search for the pirate treasure near Kame House.
Over the past year, John had realized that he needed money to survive in the Dragon Ball world. With his enormous appetite, he couldn't rely solely on his wealth to sustain himself.
John envisioned a future with Android 18, but neither of them had money. He couldn't bear the thought of asking Android 18 to work to support him.
John knew that most of his time would be dedicated to training, and he didn't want to burden Android 18 with the responsibility of earning money. He didn't want to lose face by asking her for financial support.
Both John and Android 18 had their pride, and they couldn't bring themselves to borrow money from Bulma, even though she wouldn't mind.
Ever since the banquet after the Martial Arts Tournament, John had been thinking about how to make money. He had even considered using the Dragon Balls to wish to become the richest person in the world.
However, when he thought about the other Dragon Ball Z warriors and how none of them would wish for money, John realized that he would be ridiculed by his companions if he made such a wish.
So, John ultimately abandoned the idea of using the Dragon Balls to acquire wealth. But how could he obtain enough money?
Finally, when Goku bid farewell to everyone to search for the Dragon Balls, John remembered something. It was the pirate treasure that Goku, Bulma, and Krilin had discovered near Kame House while searching for the Dragon Balls.
John vividly remembered the explosion that revealed the treasure, and he regretted that Goku hadn't been able to obtain it.
John thought, "If Goku couldn't get this treasure, then I'll get it. I can give him some if he needs it in the future. After all, it's destined for him."
John activated the Dragon Radar and began searching for the nearby Dragon Balls. Once he found the one located underwater, he could locate the pirate treasure.
As the Dragon Radar displayed the Dragon Balls' locations, John quickly pinpointed the position of the underwater Dragon Ball. He took out the small submarine capsule he had prepared and threw it, and with a "bang," a small submarine appeared on the nearby sea surface.
John boarded the submarine and began his descent, following the direction indicated by the Dragon Radar.
Kame House was located in the tropics, and the ocean floor near the island was covered with various types of seagrass. Countless colorful tropical fish swam happily among the seagrass.
The beautiful underwater scenery filled John with a sense of tranquility. It had been over a year since he arrived in the Dragon Ball world, and he hadn't explored the ocean much.
The Dragon Ball world was similar to John's original world in that it wasn't densely populated. Most people lived in a few large cities, with smaller towns scattered in the wilderness. The vast majority of the planet was uninhabited, and the environment was well-preserved. The ocean was also pristine, with clear and unpolluted water.
John continued to pilot the submarine deeper into the ocean. As the depth increased, the marine life became sparser, and the surroundings gradually darkened. John turned on the searchlight and accelerated towards the Dragon Ball's location.
After about ten minutes, John reached the location of the Dragon Ball. He adjusted the Dragon Radar's display to show a cross-sectional view of the ocean floor.
Indeed, a large underwater cave appeared near the Dragon Ball's location. John continued piloting the submarine towards the entrance of the cave.
Navigating around the dark underwater cliffs, John's submarine reached the entrance to the pirate treasure.
As he continued deeper into the cave, the entrance became narrower. After passing through a narrow passage, John's submarine suddenly emerged above the water's surface, indicating that the cave's interior was actually located above sea level.
John jumped out of the submarine into the water and pressed a button to transform the submarine back into a capsule, which he then placed in a capsule box.
John began walking towards the depths of the cave. After a short distance, he noticed that the long cave ceiling was adorned with numerous hanging lamps.
Seeing these electric lights, John confirmed that he had found the right place. The treasure must be hidden deep within the cave.
As John continued forward, he reached a long corridor with four walls.
John recalled that this was a trap set by the pirates. He remembered that Goku, Bulma, and Krilin had simply jumped over the trap, so he decided to do the same.
