Chapter 132 - Chapter 132

The shop assistant had indeed spoken truthfully, which led to Lys being stared at by her parents when she emerged in a black dress with large wavy skirts, making her feel uneasy.

The dress wasn't very suitable either; Lys's slim waist was overshadowed by the dress's excessive embellishments, failing to highlight her figure. The decorations shook vigorously as she walked.

Noah sighed and decided to go all out, even picking up a pink long-sleeve dress for Lys to try. Lys took a deep breath and returned to the fitting room amidst the helpless sighs of the shop assistant and Senna.

"I know it might not suit her, but... even though we missed that time, I still want to see my daughter in something cute and pink."

Surprisingly, the dress suited Lys, except for the color...

The pink really clashed with her aura and hair.

It would have looked much better if it were any other color.

The upper part was styled like a high-collared shirt, with slightly puffed sleeves that covered half of her hands. The long cuffs wrapped tightly around Lys's wrists, making her fingers appear more slender.

The overall design was simple and structured, with no excess decorations at the waist, just a hidden pocket for a wand. The four-petal skirt flared slightly due to the material's texture and cut, resembling a tulip just in bloom. The layered style complemented Lys's habit of striding forward as part of her aura.

The shop assistant was puzzled why a sweet-style dress had an air of battle armor when worn, but she was happy to make a sale. She recommended some matching accessories and jewelry, but none were as fitting as the ammolite ring the customer wore, or even the gray bracelet was more suitable than the diamond bracelets in the store.

Finally, the sales assistant packed Senna's chosen black witch robe, Noah's shirt, and Lys's dress. She suggested Senna buy a pair of high heels for Lys at the shoe store to enhance her aura.

As the three walked away, a later customer and the shop assistant marveled at the girl's strong aura, which was unique and suppressed any unsuitable accessories, though her posture wasn't great.

The shop assistant thought, "Her posture isn't great? You should have seen her when she first came in, wearing a black shirt and pants with a snake on her shoulder, striding forward with a stern face. If her father hadn't asked me to help pick out dresses, I wouldn't have realized she was a girl."

Before going to the shoe store, Noah first took Lys to the ice cream shop at the end of the street to buy a nutty ice cream sundae for Senna, then asked Lys to choose a flavor. Lys only ordered a mint water.

The small cart at Gringotts had a lingering effect, making her feel nauseous and suppressing the urge to vomit.

Sitting at the table, Noah thoughtfully tucked Senna's hair behind her ear, while Lys clumsily tried to tie it up with a hairband Senna had bought her last year.

But it didn't go well and almost hurt Senna, earning her a glare. Lys pulled out her wand and used a braiding spell to elegantly tie up Senna's dark red hair.

Sipping her mint water, Lys looked at the scene before her, something she never dreamed of, and felt a bit unreal.

Was this scene, which she had never seen before, truly hers?

Seeing that Senna didn't want to continue eating, Noah took his wife and child for more shopping.

In the shoe store, Lys sat in front of the mirror, surrounded by high heels. "Mom, do I have to wear these? It's hard to stand steady, what if I have to fight?"

"Fight? What fight? Noah hopes to see you looking cute and pretty today, you'd better manage that," Senna whispered to Lys, taking advantage of the shoe rack's cover.

Upon hearing this, Lys quickly resumed her selection. These black ankle boots looked good, and those lace-up shoes seemed fine too.

In the end, Lys chose a pair of heeled ankle boots because she could walk in them.

Leaving the shoe store, wearing a dress and high heels, Lys felt awkward because she was wearing pants under the dress and felt hot.

Seeing there was still some time before dark, Noah suggested Lys go explore on her own.

Noticing her mother's look that practically screamed, "Why are you still here? Go away," Lys asked where to meet them later and quickly ducked into a random shop, watching from the window until her parents disappeared around the corner.

Even though it was unlikely, she worried her mother might leave without her, so she decided to head to the meeting point early.

After making up her mind, Lys turned back, realizing which shop she had entered, and saw the shopkeeper standing behind her, looking outside with her. "What are you looking at?"

Lys sighed, awkwardly standing straight because with the high heels, she was more than a head taller than the little old man in front of her.

"Nothing, I'm just browsing. You can carry on, sorry to disturb you." Lys glanced around, finding nothing of interest, and was about to leave with Gabon.

"Don't rush, miss. Your pet's collar is quite unique. Could you share where you bought it?" But Lys couldn't remember. She got it when she was poisoned with the euphoria potion, and her memory of that time was fuzzy.

"I don't remember, maybe I took it from a Niffler..." Lys mumbled, but the old man was hard of hearing and couldn't catch it. He continued, "The alchemy on it is excellent, truly! It's better than many nobles' protective gear." He tried to get a closer look.

However, Gabon was very protective of the small bottle hanging from the collar that stored magic power. Noticing someone trying to approach, it slapped Lys several times with its tail.

Understanding, Lys quickly moved away from the old man's gaze, casually responding, "I did the alchemy on it, it's quite good."

The old man exclaimed several times about Merlin and admired Lys's young talent, even wanting to buy Gabon's collar, which Lys refused.

Leaving the shop, Lys touched Gabon's collar. Was this really well-made? But the author of the forbidden book "Alchemy Fantasia" was already better than her at ten years old...

If that author knew, they might feel uncomfortable: "I'm an academic, learning alchemy step by step from the moment I could read. You're purely wild, relying on instinct to balance! What beginner stacks runes, spells, and potions on a single material at once?"

If Lys knew, she wouldn't find it strange that she was blown away by magic when first inscribing runes on materials.

She would consider herself lucky that Professor Babling hadn't taught any dangerous runes when she was inexperienced.
