Chapter 237 - Chapter 237: Mysterious Organization!

Soon, everything was explained directly to the point.

After Finn learned the details, he suddenly realized what was happening. The person in front of him was from Kingpin's subordinates.

He had noticed Finn for the past few weeks but, unfortunately, Finn had been in the realm of the gods at that time. Because of this, the other party was unable to locate him.

Now that Finn had returned, it was only natural for the man to show up.

"A mysterious organization?" Finn frowned slightly. "Is this the one you just established?"

"That's right," the man nodded, his expression serious. "We've just established it. However, our organization is still at the stage of just three members. Even so, aside from me, the strength of the other two is incredibly terrifying. I believe it won't be long before your information reaches their computers, and someone will come after you."

Jess didn't dare hide anything. He firmly believed that if the person before him wanted him dead, he would be merciless. There was no second chance for him to escape.

Finn couldn't help but laugh when he heard this. "Heh, you want to assassinate me?"

"That's right!" Jess nodded eagerly. "Their influence is vast. If they find you, they'll definitely send someone to eliminate you. By then, there will be nowhere for you to hide!"

"Since that's the case…" Finn glanced at Jess with an indifferent look. "Then let's kill you!"

"What?" Jess's face turned pale. "You want to kill me?"

"Otherwise?" Finn's eyes narrowed, his tone calm. "Do you think I still need to keep you alive?"

"Besides," Finn continued, "Do you think I'd be foolish enough to wait for someone from your side to come and assassinate me?"

Finn sneered, his hands already moving, but before he could act, Jess sprang into action. His body turned into a blur as he dashed away, running toward the rear with reckless speed.

Finn watched with a smirk, as if he were utterly unconcerned by the other's attempt to escape.

A dark, endless aura began to swirl around him, covering an immense range. The oppressive energy radiated outward, flooding the surroundings in an instant.

Jess had only managed to run a few meters when he was enveloped by the dark energy. Fear surged through him, his body breaking into a cold sweat as he struggled to stay on his feet.

Too strong!

He mentally screamed, his thoughts in a frenzy. This aura—this presence—was far stronger than that of the person at the airport before.

How could it be? The man in front of him was only in his twenties, yet he possessed such a terrifying power?

This was unreal! It was downright horrifying!

Jess's face turned pale. He realized that he was in serious trouble, and the power before him far exceeded anything he had expected.

Escape!

The thought struck him, and he turned to flee desperately.

Finn remained still, his gaze sharp and focused, his lips curling into an eerie smile. "Running?"

Boom!

He lifted his foot and kicked the ground. The moment his foot made contact, the road beneath him exploded violently. Flames shot into the air, and thick smoke billowed upward as the entire street was obliterated in a single blow.

This was a trap Finn had set specifically for situations like this. Dealing with people like Jess couldn't be done with regular methods.

In the end, Jess's body was thrown onto a nearby roadside, battered and broken.

Finn didn't bother to linger. He simply turned and left, indifferent to the chaos he had caused.

Today was just a day for him to enjoy himself.

After all, there was no need to concern himself with the consequences.

Finn finished his shopping for ingredients and was about to head home when he felt a sudden tremor in the air.

It didn't affect ordinary people, but for Finn, someone attuned to such fluctuations, it was impossible to ignore.

"Could it be someone from the Demon faction again?"

It wasn't surprising that Finn thought so. After all, he had already encountered Mephisto before, and this disturbance seemed to fit that pattern. But there was also something else—something off about it.

"No. I have to check it out. If this escalates, New York City could be in serious trouble."

For safety's sake, Finn decided to investigate the anomaly himself.

He quickly arrived at the location of the disturbance, his eyes scanning the area. There, he spotted what appeared to be a faint mirror in the air, as if it were connecting two realms—one of reality and one of illusion.

"What exactly is going on here?"

Before Finn could dwell on it further, a powerful energy vortex began to slowly form. It spread wide like a dark, bottomless pit, sending shivers through the air.

"Is this some kind of new demon race?" Finn muttered to himself, his curiosity piqued. But there was no time for further speculation.

Without another moment's hesitation, Finn shot forward, rushing into the vortex.

In the blink of an eye, he found himself hovering above a vast, empty area. There were no buildings, no structures—just endless emptiness. At the center, a massive black vortex was slowly spinning, growing in intensity.

Finn's gaze dropped to the vortex, and he could faintly hear growls and eerie hisses coming from within it.

"What is this?"

Suddenly, a giant clawed hand shot out from the vortex, followed by a massive, hulking figure. It looked as if the creature had just been resurrected from the earth itself.

The giant turned its gaze upward and saw Finn, who was hovering in the sky. Without hesitation, the beast swiped at him with terrifying speed.

Boom!

Finn didn't hesitate. He shifted his position, narrowly dodging the attack. He knew that if he were struck by that slap, the damage would be catastrophic—even if he survived.

The monster was no ordinary opponent. Finn understood this immediately.

"Since you're here, I'll deal with you first."

Finn's eyes narrowed, and he drew the sword of Emperor Weishan. The blade glowed with a brilliant energy as he swung it downward with incredible force. A surge of power shot forward, cutting through the air like a streak of lightning.

The attack collided with the giant's head with a thunderous roar.

Boom!!!

The sound of the explosion was deafening, and the giant staggered, its form breaking apart.

However, Finn did not smile in victory.

His expression darkened. "Something's wrong."

The giant had been obliterated, but it didn't feel like a true victory. The creature seemed like nothing more than an illusion.

"Damn it! This bastard is using mental attacks!" Finn cursed under his breath. He had been tricked.

The illusion had been designed to confuse him, to mislead his senses and create an opening for a sneak attack. But the enemy had underestimated his strength.

Finn clenched his fists, cold fury in his eyes.

"I'll show you my true strength!"

A brilliant golden light erupted from his body, expanding rapidly. It was so intense that it seemed like a second sun had appeared.

At the same time, Finn's skin turned transparent, glowing with a crystalline sheen.

"Ah!" Finn exhaled sharply, his eyes narrowing as he felt an unprecedented surge of power flowing through him. It felt endless—unstoppable.

With a yell, Finn shot into the air, his fist clenched with overwhelming power as he rushed toward the giant, determined to end this battle once and for all.
