Silas's POV
"Meyer is alright, Orian?" I asked, because Meyer was not looking fine from any angle.
But when I asked Orian, he didn't reply. He was just sitting there, holding Meyer's hand. I broke the hug from Velric and touched Orian's shoulder. As I did, he turned back, and I saw tears in his eyes.
"Meyer is not breathing anymore. His heartbeat has also stopped," Orian said.
My eyes widened, and I couldn't believe my ears—that Meyer was not breathing anymore. I checked myself, and indeed, his heart was not beating. Did those soldiers kill Meyer before we got in?
Why is this happening? One by one, everyone is dying. Orian started to cry—of course he would.
After all, Meyer was his mate, his life partner. Now I was more worried about my mates, seeing Meyer's condition. And just then, that locked door broke down.
I turned back and saw so many alphas—it was beyond limits. But I thought I could kill them, that's why I grabbed my sword, and Orian held Velric in his arms.
