The man looked at the woman, her gaze strong and fearless upon him. Seeing this, he shifted his eyes, avoiding her stare, and clicked his tongue. He released his grip on little Daniel, who was still crying softly. His mom said in a gentle voice, "Babe, why are you awake?" Little Daniel continued to sob as the man snapped, "God damnit, will you shut the fucking hell up?" His mom looked at the man fearlessly. "Don't talk that way to him. He's just a kid." The man retorted, "Then make him shut the fuck up!" We saw little Daniel's cries gradually subside as he slowly drifted to sleep. The entire scene slowly faded into darkness.
Draven thought, seeing this, Fucking bastard again... really makes me want to kill him again.
The scene changed, and we saw him still lying on the floor, covered in blood. He slowly opened his eyes wide, gasping for air as he coughed up blood. Getting up, he thought, I guess nobody came in since I'm still lying here covered in blood.
Now sitting on the ground, he continued to cough, raising his hand. I guess there was still some left. He wiped the bloodstain from his mouth, blowing on his nose to clear the blood inside. Standing up, he thought, Fuck, I can finally breathe.
He stood fully. And I can now see even more Mana in the air, and I feel my body is lighter. He turned his head, looking at the table. "I guess I ate all of it. Oh well, I guess it was fun while it lasted. I should probably clean myself up, but before that, I have to clean this up." Looking at the floor covered in blood, Draven said, "Fuck no. On secondthought, I'm just gonna ask the maid to do it. Hmmm, what was her name again… Lila? No, Liora? Lyra? Ugh, it was something soft, something kind of… floaty. Lyri… Lyriana! Yes—Lyriana. That's it."
As he called her name, Lyriana opened the door, walked in, and closed it behind her. "Young master, you called?" Her eyes dropped to Draven, covered in blood, and the dark red stain seeping across the floor. Her voice, though shaken, remained steady. "Young master... you're hurt. What happened?" she thought, What the hell happened here? Why's he covered in blood?
Draven said, "Don't worry, I'm okay."
