Angelica frowned, something was definitely wrong. She watched as the sun's reflection coming from the window moved gradually further and further. She was certain that another thirty minutes had passed and her mother was nowhere to be seen and the maids had not returned either.
Angelica did not know how the time had passed so quickly, regardless, she was beginning to suspect something foul was going on.
Just as Angelica was about to stand to her feet and go look for answers, the maid walked into the room apologetically.
"Ahh, my lady, I truly apologize for leaving you all alone." She instantly began.
Angelica frowned. "Where is my mother?" she asked immediately, it was not like her mother to disappear for a long period of time without reason.
