Angelica did not notice when she had cleared the entire tray of food in front of her, but she had. Interestingly enough, she still felt hungry. She took a sip of the final cup of tea that remained in the teapot.
She had auspiciously eaten everything without a single hitch. It was strange, truly strange. Habitually, she did not eat much, however, today of all days, she did eat much. Maybe it was because her mother was not present pressuring her to eat more.
She must have felt a calmer inclination to eat more due to reduced pressure. Or maybe she was digressing her feelings with food. Either way, she was still hungry and there was no one in sight.
She wondered where her mother was, she had stepped out over twenty minutes ago and was nowhere to be found. The maids were also yet to return. Angelica felt something strange going on, she decided to wait till her mother returned.
