Azuri flew through the corridor she'd picked out, leading once more to a small hallway like before. The walls slowly began to decrease in width the further she ventured down, until leading to a vastly open area where sounds of others were heard. She quickly approached before seeing a group of five dealing with a larger monster.
"There's someone—!" she thought before seeing green mana circulating within the air. She recognized what it was not only by the sheer amount of magic being dispersed, but the smug voice of one of the more popular students at the school.
"Immobilis."
The voice said as the monster quickly stopped it's motion before being cut down by surrounding spells. The large creature slowly fell before dissipating into dust, leaving materia pieces behind. The olive haired boy leisurely walked over and swiped the pieces up.
"This dungeon will be a breeze. With me here, there's nothing to worry about–"
He suddenly glanced upward to see Azuri floating above, looking down at the group. Though surprised by the fact that she'd been there watching, he was amused to see her alone.
"What's this? Azuri of the Everton family, gracing my presence during this debacle of a test. What do I owe the honor?"
"This isn't the time for your rabble, there's a matter we need to discuss."
"Oh? Discuss with me? I'll humor you, though I hope you know I'll still be taking first place in this Dungeon Walk. So make it quick, and don't waltz around."
Azuri lowered herself onto the ground and stood in front of Rowan. His lean, yet tall figure towered over her as he looked down at her with snarky intention. She sighed before telling him of the current situation of her team.
"Our team was met with an unexpected beast. There was no way of predicting such a thing to cross our path. Since it wasn't in the guidebook given to us–"
"Oh? So you leave your party to come beg for help? I think you've forgotten the purpose of this event."
The others within the group began to chuckle at the words, seeing Azuri's face make a slight shift to a more annoyed state than before.
"Wait a minute, Everton is asking for help from another family? Pigs must be flying!"
"The lone gem of the academy? You don't ever see her asking for anything."
The others watched in the background, chuckling amongst themselves as Rowan was eating up the bickering. Azuri stared intently at the two, causing them to look away from her glare alone. Rowan stopped laughing and looked at her once more. He knew she wouldn't be the type to ask for anything, so he humored her.
