Chapter 1 - New World

- You're living in a shitty world, full of illusions and ridiculous hopes. Wake up, you idiot! In the real world, no one survives on dreams and fantasies alone. It's a constant battle of shit, and you're just hiding behind a curtain of illusions, like a spoiled child. Look at you, fooling yourself and thinking that everything will work out while the world swallows you up. It's pathetic, and the worst part is that you have no idea how you're humiliating yourself with this denial. If you don't stop living in this fairy tale, you'll end up sinking deeper and deeper, you shitty little bitch. And don't come complaining when life or I come to beat you up, because that's exactly what you deserve for being so stupid and complacent.

The void was a constant and overwhelming presence, enveloping me in a deep and impenetrable darkness. I felt an icy cold that penetrated to the bone, but also an almost ethereal lightness, as if I were floating in endless space. There was no sense of time, only a persistent feeling of reflection. Amidst this absolute silence, I asked myself:

"Am I dead? Is this cold the only thing I feel, a distant echo of the life I once knew? Or am I just dreaming of what was once real? Everything seems so distant and abstract, as if I were suspended between two worlds."

As these thoughts intertwined with the void, a feeling of warmth began to emerge, an unexpected contrast to the coldness that enveloped me. A faint light began to penetrate the darkness, its luminous particles creating a soft glow that intensified with each moment. The light gradually approached, as if it were pulling me out of this abyss of loneliness.

"What's going on? This light... it's like a promise of something beyond the void. Am I going back somewhere? Or maybe I'm about to enter a new chapter, not knowing what awaits me?"

The heat and light grew more and more intense, filling the space with a blinding luminosity. Then, the silence was broken by an anguished scream, an expression of pain that left itself in the space, cutting through the light and heat with a desperate force.

- AHHHHH!

The sound was piercing, a female voice full of suffering that echoed amidst the growing brightness. The light around me seemed to open, revealing a new and unknown world, where I was about to emerge without having the slightest idea of who I was or what was to come. The scream seemed to mark the beginning of a new journey, a reality that unfolded before me with overwhelming intensity.

- Calm down, dear, we're almost there - says a man. The light became more and more intense and then I felt as if I were falling into an infinite abyss, until I felt the sensation of having hit my back. I felt alive again, as if I were in the world. But it's not just a feeling. My eyes show that I'm in a typical medieval house. A blond man with green eyes and no beard looks at me smiling. I don't understand anything, but I can't control my body for some reason. However, I realize that my hands are not those of a 19-year-old girl, but of a baby. The face of the woman who gave birth to me is revealed seconds later, a beautiful woman with purple eyes and red hair like a supermassive star. Everything seems wonderful, doesn't it? However, not everything is rosy. Hours after my "birth", I'm taken to a kind of temple. Are they going to worship some kind of God or entity? No. Inside this temple, there is a demon, a humanoid demon. The only difference between him and a normal human are the horns and the bluish skin color.

- Well well, Miss Jullen and Mr. Grenrick - says the demon on his throne.

- Please, sir, I ask you to bless my daughter so that she may be one of your subordinates and not one of your offerings - says Grenrick, bowing before the demon. My mother does the same, but keeps a cold expression on her face. My father seems nervous, asking for benevolence. Apparently, this demon is like a god. But is he a god for this country or kingdom, or a god for the world, or just for the people of this village? Well, I have no idea about anything, but that doesn't surprise me. I don't even remember my previous life and I've only been here for two hours.

- I'll give you some of my mana - The demon then touches me and gives me such a ridiculous amount of mana that it doesn't even make a difference. However, I felt something strange when his mana was transferred to me. It has nothing to do with strengthening or anything like that. Basically, his mana already felt like it was part of me and my body.

6 years later

After four years living in this world, I began to understand a little about things, both in the world and in the village. Basically, the devil is the main religious source of this village, but outside of here, he is simply unknown. In exchange for living offerings, he distributes knowledge. I must say that it is quite "in quotes", because he only says the obvious or talks nonsense. Here, homosexuality is forbidden, because the devil repugnant to lewd acts between people of the same sex. He also has his own guard, composed of the children of the people who served the devil, protecting him from enemies of the kingdom. In the world itself, all people have mana or magic. Even very specific living beings have it. However, in addition to mana, each person has an element or affinity, which are called both forms, and have forms of magical application. As far as I know, there are more races besides demons and humans, but I don't know which ones they are. In this kingdom, man rule and exert more influence than woma. The people of my village obey the devil, because the kingdom does not give them a favorable amount of money to invest in crops and schools. Furthermore, if they did not adopt the devil, they would all be subject to death. My life in this village? Well, how can I define it... It is hell. From the age of two, we are forced to help with the harvest, because the adults are busy bringing offerings to the devil. When the search for animals is unsuccessful, humans are offered. They behead them in front of the public and then hand over their bodies to the devil. Usually, they send those who cannot be direct subordinates of the devil, people with weak magic or physical build. At four years old, two years younger than all the other children who discover their affinity, the reason has not been revealed to me. However, I feel that there is something wrong with my existence and everything behind it. Well, it is quite easy to discover a certain person's affinity. All a person needs to do is receive small amounts of mana from their parents and concentrate all the mana received, mixed with their own, into a stone that looks like a marble. Those who do not have their parents present are susceptible to fainting due to having to use all their mana.

- Come on, daughter. When you're ready, just tell me - my mother says, forcing a smile. Ever since I was born, I've noticed that she acts strangely. It's not like she cares much about my existence, but when we talk about magic, she suddenly gets excited. I receive mana from both of them. I felt a similar sensation to when I received the demon's mana when I received my mother's mana, but I didn't feel anything when I received my father's mana. From that moment on, everything became clear to me. But since I had no proof, I simply kept quiet and concentrated on finding out my affinity. However, the stone remained unchanged, but I continued to put mana into it and nothing happened. My mother looked at me with contempt, as did everyone in the village. I thought for a moment that it was due to my age, but soon the demon came out of his temple and confirmed that, regardless of age, everyone can have their affinity revealed.

- Prepare today's offering. Merry Christmas to all - says the demon, returning to the temple. Without time to react, one of the demon's guards landed a powerful kick in my stomach, leaving me completely defenseless. I ended up passing out. After a while, I finally woke up. I was tied to a pillar, without any mobility. The villagers gathered around me, especially two who had axes pointed horizontally at my neck. They planned to behead me because I was the only human in history without an affinity. I was already willing to accept my fate, but I realize that one of the people with the axe was my mother and she was smiling happily. Amidst the crowd... He shouts...

- Please, gentlemen! I beg you to spare my daughter and use me as an offering in her place. I beg you to let her live, even if as a slave - says Grenrick, humiliating himself before the demon.

- Very well, I will accept your request because you are one of the biggest bidders here - says the demon

. - Kill your own husband, Jullen.

- Yes, sir... - Before beheading Grenrick, she bends down and whispers in his ear

- She is not even your daughter, silly... How do you feel about killing yourself for a shitty hybrid daughter? - says Jullen, who quickly grabs him and beheads him. You could see an expression of shock on Grenrick's face, but it didn't last long, since he was killed. Simply speechless, I didn't know whether to cry or try to react. A person who raised me and took care of me since I was born was just killed in front of me by another person who also took care of me since I was born. Apparently, this demon has much more influence than I thought. After that, they isolated me from the village and locked me in a house. Every month, they would come to see me to see if I had already died of hunger. However, even if I didn't die, they would kill me in two years in the same way, at least that's what the demon said. Knowing that I could die and still in disbelief that my mother killed my "father", I was completely lost about what to do. After a week in that place, I was dying of hunger and a tree began to grow inside the house. My mana began to flow uncontrollably as the tree grew. I touched the tree to see if I wasn't delirious and, out of nowhere, the tree crumbled into dust. However, the fruits it had were still intact. Afraid of doing to the fruits the same thing I had done to the tree, I tried to touch them, but they didn't destroy themselves. I ate them all and felt replenished. Seeing that I had some kind of power. I have already made a decision about what to do! I will train for these two years and perfect my power to the fullest. After that, I will clean up that despicable village and torture the demon until he dies. I began to try to manifest more of that unknown power during the twenty-nine days of the month, always trying to hide the traces of using the power, as this could speed up my execution. After three months of training, I was able to identify the nature of my power: to manipulate mana and do whatever I want with it, from energy beams to creating things or making plants grow. After these three months, I finally managed to leave this house by destroying the metal door, but I always put it back on the twenty-fifth day, as they might send people before the deadline to check how I was surviving. After discovering the nature of my power, I began to alternate between physical training and magical domination. My only day off was when a person sent to check if I was alive was spotted by birds, which became great friends of mine. Not only them, but other animals as well. I created a harmonious kingdom among them, where everyone could be friends without fighting over food or territory. Some lionesses and goats taught me how to fight, so I adopted their fierce combat style. I fought them too, but I always healed them when I hurt them and never used magic against them. I developed a way to understand and communicate with animals using magic, but it is very complex and not even I can explain it with 100% clarity. I learned that animals are much friendlier than humans. Talking to them, many offered to help me invade the village, but I asked them not to get involved, after all, humans can use powerful magic and the demon is even stronger.

Two Years Later

My skills are superhuman after two years of intense training, but I decided to intensify them even more, due to the month of rest I will have, so that my body will be ready for the appointed day. During the last year, I have focused on improving my assassination techniques and conducting research on what the kingdom thinks of the village. I discovered that they do not know about the existence of the demon in the place and consider everyone there as scum. I was not surprised and I agree with them, despite everything. From what I have gathered, the snowfall intensifies during the month scheduled for the execution, which will allow me to hide a body forever and place the blame on someone else if a guard comes to investigate. I will not kill any babies. If no royal guard or knight comes to the village, I will fabricate a story that someone attacked our village. They might think "Wouldn't it be easier to blame the demon?" But that would lead to a deeper investigation, discovering that the demon was worshiped by them, and it would be unfavorable for him to kill his worshipers. It's easier to create a story where a "hero" of justice tried to save us. Now, with full control over my abilities, at least I think I have, I can use varied attacks, from mana cuts to mana beams. My creation skill is impeccable and certain elements that I can recreate have natural destructive properties, such as lightning and fire. The wind element also has them, but it would be lethal even to me. During the month of rest, I focused on reading some books that the birds stole for me. With more knowledge, I began to create several weapons and transform them into stones, storing them in a bag that I transformed into a leaf and placed inside my underwear, avoiding suspicion that I was armed.

The Big Day

Finally, the day arrived. I had prepared everything the day before and created a catapult with branches to be thrown by the animals when the demon appeared in the village during the execution. The branches were embedded with my mana. When I arrived at the village, everyone looked at me with hatred and discrimination, but I ignored it and followed the man who came to get me. He took me to a dark basement, where I was tied up. When the light was turned on, the person who was there was revealed: my mother. She pulled out a box with torture tools and started to stare at me.

- Hello, daughter, long time no see, my love - she said in a mocking tone.

- Hello, shitty whore - I replied in the same tone.

- Shitty bitch! - She then threw a knife at me, but I dodged it.

- You're as stupid as he is - Jullen said, furious with me.

- Why did you kill him? And why are you so stupid to believe any crap a demon says? - I shouted, furious too.

- You're just a heretic and a child, you won't understand. Your father was very inefficient - Jullen said, approaching with a scalpel and pliers.

- What a pathetic reason... - I simply freed myself from the ropes, transforming them into very thin and not very resistant lines, then walked slowly towards my mother.

- But what?! You had no affinity whatsoever!!! - she shouted, desperate.

- Well, I don't. - After saying that, I took a leaf from my hand that turned into a bag, then I picked up a stone with a "K" written on it, which turned into a katana. My mother started crying and begging for forgiveness, but I just laughed.

- I then made the katana catch fire and slowly cut off her head, making her suffer for everything she did. After that, her body caught fire. The first step of revenge was complete. I hid his ashes and tied myself up again, waiting until the time of execution.

"Where's Jullen, you piece of trash?" a man said, pointing a sword at me.

- She went out to get a plant, she must have gotten lost - I answered in a normal tone, avoiding suspicion. They took me to the central square, where the demon would personally decapitate me. Everyone was gathered, waiting for my death. The animals threw the branches! The branches arrived at high speed, but I had to disguise myself and wait for the right moment.

- Any last words, you filthy thing? - said the demon, holding a super sharp sword.

- Yes, sir demon, my last words are: Fuck you.

The branches would turn into fire as they expanded from a dome of mana around me, my appearance changed amidst the hatred, Horns, claws and crimson and black eyes appeared. Several people died right there, but some survived. The slaughter began. I quickly let go and faced everyone there, grabbing my nunchaku and releasing mana, cutting everyone there with several mana beams. The houses were on fire. There were no more humans alive besides the children. You might think I'm absurdly strong, but this village is the weakest in the entire kingdom, so it was my obligation to be able to do this. Only me and the demon remained standing. The crops were on fire, nearby trees had fallen. A chaotic scenario, perfect for the battle that would come next.

- Aerial destruction! - the demon chanted, releasing several tornadoes against me in different directions. They had cutting winds that could easily destroy my skin.

- Die, you little shit! I don't know why I wanted to have you, you're just a walking disappointment!

I concentrated and grabbed my katana, concentrating the mana from the expansion of territory in a single point, increasing the concentration of mana in the next attack. I moved my katana horizontally, cutting all the tornadoes in half, dissipating them. But the cunning demon was already behind me, punching me in the back and throwing me against a burning house. I threw my body to spin vertically, creating a water wheel with my mana to cushion the impact and put out the flames. Concentrating the expansion of territory in a single point would be fatal for the demon. A huge tree began to grow and pierce the demon's body with its roots. He, furious, released a huge blast of wind that would destroy everything in front of him, but the second part of my plan came into action. Some birds flew over the place, throwing branches against the blast of wind, which turned into liquid nitrogen and water, freezing the explosion and forming a dome of ice. I cut the dome with a fire sword and approached the demon, furious. He tried a vertical cutting wind attack, but I walked in front of the attack, even though I was injured. He started to get scared and beg for forgiveness, but I increased my speed and threw a powerful punch, wrapped in mana, in his stomach. He, enraged, retaliated with a kick in my stomach, but I quickly recovered and threw a kick in his face, followed by two punches, one in each. After that, I used his leg as support and did a somersault, turning my foot on the back of his neck and delivering a brutal kick. Then, I pulled out my katana and began to concentrate more and more mana in it, making its size increase. He was incapacitated on the ground and tried to create a large tornado that was decreasing in size every second. However, I released a powerful mana cut that cut him in half, along with the tornado. So, finally, I won.

.- It's finally over... - I say, crying with joy. Then, I distance myself from the demon, crawling, being covered by snow and finally fainting from exhaustion.
