Connor
I closed my eyes and released a deep exhale. It took me a second to remember I was now a good person before placing my hands on the table and giving them what I hoped was my best smile. "Well then I understand the circumstances."
They both looked at each other in shock and surprise. Corey was the first to break the bubble of utter silence. "I'm glad Connor. We know that we are the decision makers but you are the captain leading us to victory. We didn't want to make you feel like your opinion didn't matter."
I chuckled and felt myself dangerously close to snapping but shook my head. Not just to them but to myself. "I'm practicing being mature," I chuckled. "Edward is a good player and I understand. I perfectly understand."
"Very well mate," Reynolds smiled, "We were planning a press release in a few days. However Edward has personal issues. We don't know if you saw the news yet."
"It's hard to miss," I frowned. "It's a terrible thing."
