In front of Kagu, countless fairies floated, their silhouettes hazy and indistinct, like clusters of light points. The dwarf youth watched wide-eyed as they gathered around him, pointing and gesturing; he couldn't make out their voices.
The group of fairies seemed surprised as if an unexpected visitor had arrived.
Soon after, a grand and unequivocal voice came from afar. Kagu couldn't make out the words, but he saw the fairies disperse one after another.
Schiller stood at the highest point of the Sea of Souls, his gaze fixed on this first mortal to set foot on the path created by God.
Even if this mortal's every move held great significance for the era, Schiller did not treat him differently.
"Let it be as it should," Schiller muttered to himself.
This first mortal was no different from any that would come after him.
Kagu walked somewhat dazed upon the Sea of Souls, the first to tread the path created by God, with everything before him signifying the unknown.
