Three months of travelling, they travel to reach snowy land. They stay for a year but Hu Li decided to go out to help stop a war. Hei must be working alone to bring some of those animals who are at the counties who might go into a war. Hu Li ask Yang Yang and Dong Wan to stay in snowy land so that if there is any animals or human who walk in, they can direct them to safety. Also humans are not allow to stay more than a year. They hear her instructs but worry about her travelling alone. Hu Li ensure them that she have enough spells and power to overcome any crisis.
It takes her six months to travel to the place that after a year might go to war. According to Fei, there will be a lot of casualties. On the way, she already see a group of humans walking together away from the designated place. She stop to talk to them and pity what they have to suffer. After they walk off, she puts a spell of protection for the group. So that no wild animals may try to attack them. In a chaos kingdom, people are trying to leave and enter. Most are deny due to no proper documents. Hu Li watch from the tree that she fly and landed on. She waited till the night falls and creep in through the high walls. Alone, she walk around and look for an inn. She order food as well to look like any normal person. No one is suspicious of her. No one thinks that she is an odd ball. Things are expensive in this chaos time. She have the silver to spend so there is nothing Hu Li cannot do.
That night by chance, the dance troupe need more dancers as the ones they had either sick or run away. Hu Li enchanted the leader to give her a job without contract. Thus this starts her dancing career in the troupe. She listen up to any conspiracy that is going around. She charm the men to revel their secrets. Till one day the dance troupe is ask to preform in the palace. Hu Li thinks of it as a chance to go in and check what is go on with those men who worked for the court.
Arriving in the palace, the dancers are shown to a room where they can change and put on their makeup. Dress in pink, red and white with white makeup on her face while her hair is pile high up with gold hairpiece. Her sleeves and the bottom of the pants are wide open. After a long time of waiting, the eunuch come into the room and request the dancers to enter the great hall. Lining up, they walk a long passageway finally upon reaching the great hall, they are told to stand outside and wait for further instructions. Hu Li look around and see some eunuch walking into the great hall with strange movements. Each of them are holding a dish and the maids are following behind. She use her spell to read their mind but it's too late. Inside the screaming and chaos starts.
In a split second, the dancers all scream and starts to run. While only Hu Li stand at her spot. The soldiers behind her charge into the great hall while inside those who are able to run are escaping outside. Hu Li tighten the bells in her hands. Those maids who are slashing the officers received blows from Hu Li's fist. Those who doesn't know who she is attempting to hold her down. Naturally stronger than humans, she brush those men aside. She continue to bash those maids and eunuchs who are attacking others. Each bash, her bells rings louder and it some sort of making the humans forget what had happen. In the end, the hall quiet down and what is left is the archers all facing her with their bows and arrows facing her. A man with a sword is staring at her, He is thinking if she is the enemy or an alliance. Hu Li and him stare for awhile then she ring the bell in her hands. As she rings them, the archers got tired and they lower their bows and arrows. The man try hard to resist the sound of the bells that is ringing in his mind.
"Who are you?!"
He raise his sword again. Hu Li keep ringing her bells the sound gets louder and louder. While she walks like a cat on a roof top towards him and avoid stepping on those bodies on the ground. Finally she stand in front of him. His moustache twitch and his lips lips perched. He see that her eyes are giving off electricity. Her hand which is not ringing the bells raise to touch his face. In a while she release smoke from her mouth. He inhale and lower his arms. Before he close his eyes, he try to remember her face. Hu Li stand up straight and stop ringing her bells, it is loud enough to know the whole palace to sleep. When they wake up, they would realised what had happen. For now she will just tie up the attackers and leave them as where they are. She step outside the great hall to see sleeping court officers on the stairs. The sky have turn dark, the cool air returns to welcome her. She leap on the rooftop and walk on the beams without help. Siting on the highest point, she watch the outside of the palace. It is a lovely night.
