Chapter 104 - Chapter 104: Breakfast

Jun An quickly "convinced" Bronya in bed to hand over the Herrscher of Reason's Core. Bronya, on the other hand, fell asleep directly; today's overtime definitely wouldn't be completed.

Jun An toyed with the crystal-clear, pale blue crystal in his hand. It was hard in texture, and its energy wasn't particularly immense, ranking in the lower-middle tier among the thirteen Herrschers. However, if the Honkai energy within it were detonated, slaughtering a city would still be an easy task.

After obtaining the Herrscher of Reason's Core, Jun An began to analyze it to create a new Herrscher of Reason's Core.

With the power of an ascended Herrscher, Jun An could easily analyze its structure. As long as he infused enough Honkai energy, he could directly copy and paste it.

Of course, what was copied and pasted was actually just an ordinary gemstone, lacking the power of an Authority. Without authorization from the Cocoon of Finality, it would just be a one-shot item.

What Jun An wanted to make wasn't the temporary Herrscher Core that Welt made, which would be depleted after a single use, but a genuine Herrscher Core.

The Herrscher of Reason's constructions were of two types: temporary and permanent.

Temporary constructions, like the cannons Bronya used before her ascension, would disappear after use. Their advantage was relatively low Honkai energy consumption.

The other type was permanent construction, like Welt's body and Project Bunny's new parts. These were considered permanent constructions, but they required a massive amount of Honkai energy, affordable only by Herrscher-level individuals.

After consuming enough Honkai energy, Jun An immediately constructed an identical prismatic gemstone, directly draining sixty percent of his Honkai energy to form a stable Aether Singularity.

The principle behind artificial Herrschers was to use a large amount of Honkai energy to communicate with the Imaginary, forming an Aether Singularity. With an Aether Singularity, it became a true Herrscher Core.

After finishing the Herrscher Core, Jun An returned Bronya's original one to her and then lay down to sleep.

The next day, after waking up on the sofa, Jun An found Bronya already hard at work, looking like a little corporate slave at such a young age.

After saying good morning to her, Jun An simply went to her washroom to freshen up. When he came out, he found Bronya actually gnawing on a military ration can.

"How can you eat this for breakfast?"

Jun An frowned. Military rations were basically guaranteed to be nutritionally balanced, but that was about all they guaranteed; most of them didn't taste good.

"I don't have a kitchen here, can't be helped."

Bronya glanced at her unscrupulous brother and said, "Besides, you took the Herrscher of Reason Core, so I couldn't make breakfast."

As the Herrscher of Reason, Bronya could provide for most of her daily necessities if she wished.

"Here, for you."

Jun An tossed the Herrscher of Reason's Core to Bronya. Bronya extended a delicate hand to catch it, and the Herrscher of Reason's Core returned directly into Bronya's body, reverting to DNA form.

This was an ability only ascended Herrschers possessed. The cores of other, unascended Herrschers were embedded in their bodies like kidney stones, not really having a significant impact on bodily functions, and could even be directly dug out.

Like the cores of Ana and Chen Tianwu; Jun An had personally dug out their cores.

After receiving the Herrscher of Reason's Core, Bronya asked, "What do you want to eat?"

Bronya usually wouldn't use the Herrscher of Reason's Core to make breakfast, but recently she hadn't been home. Alexandra couldn't drive over from home early in the morning, and she was too lazy to go downstairs to buy breakfast, so she naturally put the Herrscher of Reason's Core to good use.

"What do you usually eat?" Jun An asked curiously.

"Usually just meat and milk, and that pile of vitamin pills and calcium tablets."

Bronya pointed to a small bottle of pills nearby. "Three meals a day, I take them."

"Why are you eating this stuff?"

Jun An picked up one of the vitamin pill bottles, poured out a pill, and sniffed it. There was nothing wrong with it; it was just the most common type of pill.

Jun An had heard some jokes about truly destitute people buying a bag of pig feed and a few bottles of vitamin pills to get through a month.

Although from a nutritional standpoint, this should be fine, eating like this truly drained one's Sanity points.

Even though Bronya and Jun An had both survived the Second Honkai Eruption and had eaten snow and raw meat, that was for survival. Now, there was absolutely no need to be so harsh on themselves.

A hint of displeasure appeared in Bronya's large, silver-gray eyes. She touched her budding chest, her eyes dull.

"Last time I went to see Kiana, I found out she had grown from a C to a D..."

Bronya recalled the soft sensation of being bumped by Kiana's pair of massive "excess flesh." Bronya, who hadn't paid much attention to this aspect before, suddenly felt motivated.

But the thought that Kiana could grow so large still made her feel a bit unwilling.

"She clearly eats nothing but junk food. The world is truly unfair."

Growing from a C to a D in just one year?

Jun An remembered that when Kiana first appeared, she was on the same level as Fu Hua in terms of official stats. He didn't expect her to grow so quickly.

But Jun An didn't forget to comfort his little sister, "Don't take it too seriously. Look at Fu Hua, she hasn't grown in tens of thousands of years, and you don't see her complaining, right?"

"She's a MANTIS, it's different."

Bronya frowned. Just because someone else was at the bottom, she shouldn't worry about being second to last? What kind of loser psychology was that?

"Don't worry, I like you no matter what."

Jun An patted Bronya's hair, seeing her expression. After all, Post-Honkai Odyssey already vouched for Bronya. "Don't worry about such a small thing. You're the woman who pioneered 8 > 50,000!"

As he spoke, Jun An's hand un- इस्तीफाously moved downwards, but Bronya slapped it away.

"Talking nonsense again."

Although Bronya didn't want to refuse the Captain, breakfast still had to be eaten. Even if Brother didn't care, it didn't mean she couldn't try.

And this was one of her best ways to grow bigger!

As for the rumor that letting someone you like knead them more would make them bigger, that kind of thing was completely false. It mainly depended on individual genes and the previous day's diet.

So Bronya hoped her genes wouldn't be "unappreciative." Otherwise, she would have to take matters into her own hands with her genes. The Herrscher of Reason's analysis and construction abilities weren't limited to inanimate objects!

While speaking, Bronya had already prepared two servings of breakfast.

Two portions of beef, two peeled eggs, sliced apples, a sandwich, and a large glass of milk. If it wasn't enough, Bronya could add more.

After finishing breakfast, Jun An asked, "Bronya, when you usually need money, what do you make to sell? And who do you sell it to?"

Jun An now needed money to complete the "battery" that could hold the power of the Herrscher of the End, and this large project also required money.

In all known fields in the world, aerospace was always most closely associated with high-precision and cutting-edge technology. This also meant that this industry cost more money than any other field, and a lot of it.

By Jun An's estimation, he could use the "Sea-Calming Divine Needle" to haggle down the price with Mobius and Vill-V, but the necessary materials couldn't be skimped on at all.

In short, a ten-digit sum was necessary, and the best person to ask about this was Bronya, who had "brought funding to the group."

Bronya chewed and swallowed the meat in her mouth before answering, "I make Soulium. I sell it to the Principal and Anti-Entropy."

Soulium, as an extremely scarce material on Earth, though not priced like diamonds, had an exceptionally wide range of uses.

Even now, in peacetime, Soulium was no longer widely used in Honkai energy weapons, but its conductivity for Honkai energy was still the best in the world, second only to Herrscher Cores.

Besides that, due to its excellent malleability, it had various other uses, the most direct being Otto's Soulium body. This was the technology that allowed humans to get closest to longevity, aside from MANTIS technology.

Jun An also nodded, "Indeed, Soulium is much easier to sell than diamonds."

Because of the high demand, there was no worry about sales channels. Unlike diamonds, which would have their prices suppressed after selling, and normal luxury stores couldn't handle such large quantities, Jun An would have to get Sushang to help him smooth out connections one by one.

As an efficiency-oriented person, Jun An still felt it was better to sell Soulium directly to Schicksal.

As for diamonds, Jun An could actually buy some graphite online and crush it into diamonds with his bare hands, but it was too much effort.

After deciding on the next course of action, Jun An finished his milk and then he and Bronya fed each other. This then escalated into snatching food from each other's mouths, and then further escalated into a battle of tongues.

Then they felt that just eating wasn't interesting enough, they had to drink something too. So, the two exchanged the drinks in their mouths, and then the organs for exchanging drinks began to move downwards.
