Although Evan and the others were amazed by the dragon Pokémon here, he quickly came to his senses.

Hearing Salamence's cry, Evan hurriedly commanded Dragonite to follow.

Upon arriving at the waterfall, Evan glanced at the people behind him. He immediately released Gardevoir and held him in his arms.

"Gardevoir, use Confusion to part the water," he instructed.

Gardevoir nodded in response. With a burst of Psychic energy, he separated the waterfall, revealing a dark cave inside.

Without hesitation, Evan asked Rosa and the others to enter first. Pidgeot, Garchomp, Charizard, and a few other Pokémon flew directly inside.

Evan then ordered Dragonite to follow closely. They passed through the massive waterfall and flew through the dark cave for a while.

Before long, Evan and his companions reached a vast cavern. It was an enormous mountain chamber adorned with hanging stalactites, creating a breathtaking scene.

Beyond this immense space, there was another large exit. Numerous Noibat inhabited the cave, indicating that the ones seen outside were likely just playing around.

Evan and the others were astonished by the sight. Some Salamence had landed in the surrounding caves, suggesting that this was their home base.

Evan even spotted a few Pokémon eggs, and for a moment, he struggled to resist the urge to take one. After all, they were dragon-types.

At the far end of the cavern, the leader of the Salamence was already waiting for them.

After surveying the area, Evan instructed Dragonite to head over. He was curious—what was Salamence planning by bringing them here?

As he got closer, Salamence turned and continued flying toward the exit. Evan and the others followed, only to be met with a stunning sight.

Inside was a massive garden. Not only that, but it was filled with an abundance of Berries, including some that were thought to be extinct.

Evan's eyes widened at the sight. However, he was soon stunned by something else.

At the center of the garden stood an Statue. It appeared to be naturally formed, yet its intricate design suggested otherwise.

A small fountain was situated within Statue, adding to the mystery.

Evan was filled with questions.

"Who built this place?" he wondered aloud.

Rosa and the others were equally dumbfounded. None of them had any clue what was going on.

Evan's gaze locked onto the Statue. He frowned slightly.

Within Abigail, he sensed a powerful Psychic energy—one without an owner. Strangely, it also carried traces of dragon energy.

Gardevoir and Dragonite felt it too. Their eyes fixed on Abigail as well.

"Roar!" Salamence called out to Evan.

Evan, hearing its call, curiously stepped forward.

"What's inside?" he murmured, puzzled.

This Salamence had led them here and was now urging him to approach. Something about the situation felt off.

Salamence gestured toward Abigail, signaling for Evan to step closer.

Frowning slightly, Evan hesitated for only a moment before walking forward. His curiosity was too strong to ignore.

As he neared and got a clearer look inside, he was stunned.

"Soul Dew?" he exclaimed, staring in disbelief at the fist-sized orb before him.

"What is this?"

Claire stepped forward, examining the orb with curiosity.

"A Mega Stone?"

Not just her—Rosa and Sophia also joined in, all equally perplexed.

They had no idea what they were looking at.

"This is an exclusive item for Latios and Latias."

"Legend has it that this bead is left behind only when a Latios or Latias dies."

Evan turned to Salamence. "Salamence, was there a Latios or Latias living here before?"

"They...?"

Salamence heard Evan's question and immediately nodded.

Rosa and the others were stunned.

"An item for Latios and Latias?"

"And something that remains after their death?"

The three of them widened their eyes in shock at Evan's words.

"Hoo~!"

Salamence let out a deep growl.

It stared at Evan for a long time before finally opening its mouth to explain.

"Hoo~~!"

Evan listened intently as Salamence recounted the story of this place.

Long ago, both Latios and Latias lived here. However, one day, a powerful Pokémon awakened, and they were forced to fight it to protect the Pokémon of the forest.

Despite their efforts, they were no match for the enemy.

Latios was gravely injured while shielding Latias.

In desperation, Latios overestimated his own strength and suffered a fatal blow.

As they neared death, Latios used the last of his power to protect Latias.

That power eventually became this bead—the Soul Dew.

Because of their sacrifice, the Pokémon in the valley had enough time to escape.

Shortly after, two other Pokémon arrived and managed to imprison the rampaging Pokémon.

To this day, that Pokémon remains sealed on the other side of the mountain range.

However, Latios and Latias could never return.

The two Pokémon that came to help originally had the power to save them.

But imprisoning that Pokémon drained too much of their strength, and they fell into a deep sleep instead.

None of the other Pokémon had the power to help.

This sanctuary was built around the Soul Dew in remembrance of Latios and Latias.

Before they fell into slumber, the two Pokémon left a message for the Pokémon living here:

If they ever encountered powerful Psychic-type Pokémon like Mew or Lugia, they should ask them to come and help nourish the Soul Dew with their energy.

Doing so might awaken Latias.

Or, they could wait until the sleeping Pokémon awakened and use its power to revive both Latios and Latias.

If all else failed, their last option was to seek out Ho-Oh, though that would not be easy.

Because of this, the Soul Dew remained undisturbed for all these years.

When Salamence saw Evan, it sensed his Psychic energy and brought him here, hoping he could awaken Latias.

After hearing the story, Evan suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.

"Wait... those three Pokémon—could they be Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde?"

"So Yveltal was the one who injured Latios and Latias?"

"And Xerneas and Zygarde came to stop it?"

Evan's expression darkened.

"Alright, let's go. We need to leave. Now."

"Wait... that means Yveltal is imprisoned here, right?"

"What happens if it wakes up?"

A wave of panic hit him.

"Seriously, we need to get out of here!"

He had no intention of sticking around near an imprisoned Yveltal.
