Chapter 21 - Dangerous Situation(2)

Chapter 21: Dangerous Situation(2)

Ivy gave a sharp look to the elf with light brown hair, also to let her know that if she had wasted her training time for anything, she would get in trouble too. She had also sensed quite a few elves around the corner of the corridor in hiding, who seemed to be watching everything and seemed to be in on this act.

She didn't bother with them.

But out of everything, what perplexed her the most was the handsome, silver-haired, silver-eyed human boy she had met yesterday.

'First, the false alarm of him being dead, as his stone had broken, and him being actually alive, and now he had lost his memory.'

She had still not understood why the stone broke itself even when he was alive. That shouldn't have happened, and now his memory loss—she would like to fully investigate this now, as this boy seemed to be involved in too many strange things.

It could be a coincidence, but whatever the case might be, he had piqued her interest a little. She would like to know much more about him.

So she expressed her desire to meet him.

"Now let's see your little crush and find out if everything you said is true or not."

Liora blushed slightly, hearing her blunt words.

Ivy decided to open the door herself, knowing, according to Zyra, that Arthur doesn't know how. It is very easy to tell him, but she can't be bothered, and a strange runic stone appeared in her hand, which was shining black in color with mysterious runes on it.

It appeared out of thin air in her hand. Zyra, Liora, and the other elves knew how she did that. It surprised them a little, knowing she had a special ring, but considering her background, they quickly accepted the fact.

"Now move aside."

Zyra and Liora, hearing her cold words, quickly moved to the side.

Ivy used the strange black stone and opened the door by using the stone and touching the strange black array on the door.

Right after opening the door, she could see the handsome boy from yesterday standing in front of her. He was taller than she, so she had to look up a little to meet his eyes. While she had no interest in him, his long silver hair, amethyst eyes, and handsome face did make him look like something to behold.

She once again realized why those two elves were so in love with him that they could go as far as risking their lives.

She could see the nervousness in his eyes, and he even took a step back, seeing her. She wouldn't lie; seeing him act like this, she sure enjoyed the reaction from him.

However, suddenly, she felt something was off the more she focused on him.

Arthur could feel the gaze of the green-haired elf on him, who was extremely attractive.

He didn't know someone could be this beautiful. He had never seen a human as beautiful as her, but considering how she wasn't a human but an elf, he accepted this, because up till now, he had not seen a single ugly elf. All of them were beautiful.

But the one standing in front of him beat everyone.

He would have been mesmerized by her normally, but right now, he couldn't do that because just by standing close to her, his body felt heavy, and his senses were screaming at him that she was extremely dangerous.

It even made him take a step back out of fear.

He could see she was constantly staring at him as if he were some kind of prey to her, which scared him even more. He didn't like the way she was sizing him up. If it had been a normal scenario like the other two elves who showered him with love and care, it would have been fine, but she was looking at him with suspicion.

'I don't know what's making her suspicious of me, but I hope she doesn't find out that I have reincarnated from another world.'

He looked to the side, not meeting her sharp gaze in nervousness and fear.

Ivy didn't waste time thinking anymore and asked him outright.

"Are you hiding something from me?" Her voice was cold, unaffected by his pretty appearance.

Her cold words made Arthur freeze up for a second, but he quickly came back to reality, knowing the more he acted nervous and showed fear, the more she would be suspicious of him.

He answered her, playing his part of losing his memories, which was not a complete lie.

"I don't know what you are talking about, beautiful lady."

Arthur didn't want to be rude to her, considering she felt dangerous to him, so he called her "beautiful lady," but he had no other thoughts about her or any interest in her, knowing how dangerous she felt to him.

She really was extremely beautiful, so he felt nothing wrong in calling her beautiful. He wasn't trying to flatter her or anything; it was the only thing he could think of in this moment without being disrespectful to her.

'I should stay as far away from her as possible.'

Ivy was genuinely shocked right now. Never in her life had someone been so direct with her. They were usually scared of her because of the rumors, and men didn't even dare to approach her directly normally.

While she didn't show it on her face, being complimented by a handsome and innocent man like Arthur made her heart flutter a little. She could tell he had no ulterior motive behind his words and actually found her beautiful.

But she quickly told herself the only reason she felt this way was because she was caught off guard.

She didn't say anything to him or reprimand him for calling her "beautiful lady." She didn't mind if he said it again or not, as one thing was true—she enjoyed being called beautiful, especially by a handsome man like him.

Zyra and Liora had quite sour expressions on their faces. They could tell by seeing his face that he didn't mean anything by saying those words, but it made them jealous seeing his natural response. Their ego took a little hit by knowing Arthur found her beautiful.

It was a relief that the warden seemed to have no interest in him.
