Angel stepped out of the car as they returned home, and Ivar gently led her to her room.
She walked in to see Isabella laying on the princess's body.
"My baby," she said as she walked up to them on the bed.
The princess' eyes opened, and she turned to see Angel had returned.
"Sorry, I fell asleep briefly," she said through a panicking voice, realising how dangerous that could have gone.
"It's okay. You did a really good job," she forced a smile through her swollen eyes, as she carried Isabella into her arms.
The baby opened her eyes, and on seeing Angel, smiled.
He heart felt at peace in that moment. Nothing else mattered to her.
"Hey, I have to go do something important. Call me if you need anything, okay?" Ivar said to Angel.
She nodded. He walked out of the room, and shut the door behind him.
"Hey, can you hold her so I can quickly wash up? I already feel like I've contaminated her, holding her without cleaning up first," she said sadly.
