The drive to the hospital was fast and silent.
Angel sat at the backseat, holding Zane who was losing more blood than normal.

From the rear view mirror, Ares watched her.
She looked like she cared about him a lot. He couldn't remember the last time she looked at him that way.
They had so many things that brought them together, but their hearts couldn't be further from each other.
He returned his gaze to the road, and increased the speed in which he was driving.
The car finally pulled into the hospital, and the emergency unit he had notified ahead were beside the car as soon as he parked.
They carried Zane who had gone unconscious into the building with a stretcher, amidst Angel's screams.
Ares tried to grab Angel to comfort her, but before his hands even got to her, he withdrew them.
He realized she was still scared of him, and he'd just end up making things worse.
