Chapter 516 - Immune System and Two Billion Reincarnation Electors

In the Great Reincarnation Realm, Reincarnation Lords continuously expanded outward with the Epoch Cycle Ancient Tree as their core. In their wake, only cosmic remnants were left behind. Most Reincarnation Lords in the last Epoch Cycle were killed by Reincarnation Lifeforms from the two major factions, their universes turning into cosmic remnants. Now, however, they had become dragons themselves, inflicting the suffering they once endured a hundred or a thousandfold upon other Reincarnation Lifeforms.

No one could withstand the advance of the Reincarnation Lords. The Great Reincarnation Realm, having just restarted its Spacetime Reincarnation, was already accelerating towards destruction once more. At this moment, the Reincarnation Lords had no idea what consequences their actions would unleash.

In the Flowing Light Star Sea, far from the Epoch Cycle Ancient Tree, one particular universe underwent a transformation never before seen in countless Epoch Cycles. The flowing lights, composed of various origins, continuously merged into this universe. The Reincarnation Lifeform gestating within this universe astonishingly found its own origin rapidly increasing. In every previous Epoch Cycle's peak, it had only been a Reincarnation Dao Lord, but now it was beginning to transform into an Epoch Sovereign. And not just an ordinary Epoch Sovereign, but one qualified to control the Great Reincarnation Realm—a Reincarnation Sovereign.

However, this Reincarnation Lifeform soon discovered that it wasn't the only one undergoing this transformation. It merely possessed a portion of the Reincarnation Sovereign's power; in other universes, other Reincarnation Lifeforms like itself were also transforming. It was the combined essence of these extraordinarily transforming Reincarnation Lifeforms that constituted the true Reincarnation Sovereign. At the same time, this Reincarnation Lifeform also sensed the presence of what felt like natural enemies now distributed across the Great Reincarnation Realm. Its mission, upon birth, was to destroy these natural enemies who were damaging the Great Reincarnation Realm.

As parts of the Great Reincarnation Realm's universes underwent anomalies, Rosen also sensed it, feeling the birth of these natural enemies. This feeling was like a mouse suddenly encountering a cat. Yet, the Reincarnation Sovereign was already the most powerful force in the Great Reincarnation Realm. What else could make him feel the threat of a mouse discovering a cat? If his feeling wasn't mistaken, then an unexpected change had occurred in the Great Reincarnation Realm.

Rosen immediately wanted to investigate. The distorted spacetime of Spacetime Reincarnation had already opened a spacetime channel. His Yinglong clone entered it and quickly followed the sensation to a universe. Rosen was surprised to find that this universe was undergoing a mutation.

The Great Reincarnation Realm's restart wasn't a rebirth from destruction but a reversal of spacetime back to its very beginning. Coupled with karmic constancy, the stages between cause and effect could be altered, but the initial cause and final effect could only be slightly changed after the emergence of the Indestructible Will extraordinary system. This change was limited to the Reincarnation Lifeform itself and couldn't affect the origin of the universe. However, the universe before him was actually changing at its very origin.

Was this the work of the Reincarnation Will, or had some other unforeseen event occurred?

Rosen followed his intuition, passing through the cosmic barrier, and soon arrived before a transforming Reincarnation Lifeform. In close proximity, he perceived a co-originating authority of the Reincarnation Sovereign within this Reincarnation Lifeform. The ninety-nine percent of authority that the one hundred thousand Reincarnation Lords were powerless to control was, at this very moment, partly manifesting within this Reincarnation Lifeform. This meant that the Reincarnation Sovereign wasn't unique, or perhaps the Reincarnation Will's gift of Reincarnation Sovereign authority to him was incomplete to begin with?

Ever since Rosen gained control over the Reincarnation Sovereign's authority, he had often used it to study the Great Reincarnation Realm. He always felt something was amiss, and now he roughly understood what was going on. If the Great Reincarnation Realm was viewed as a human body, then the Reincarnation Will was akin to its soul.

The Great Reincarnation Realm, with its countless universes and extraordinary life forms, had an endless number of extraordinary systems. Some focused on cultivating the soul, spirituality, and self-awareness, while naturally, others focused on body tempering and cultivation. It wasn't necessary for the soul, spirituality, and self-awareness to always overpower the physical body to become a Reincarnation Lifeform. While the Indestructible Will primarily focused on the former, it didn't mean the Great Reincarnation Realm operated the same way. Strictly speaking, the Great Reincarnation Realm, as a physical body, was far stronger than the Reincarnation Will, which represented the soul and self.

When an ordinary person's body falls ill, it still has an immune system to destroy viruses.

It seems the Great Reincarnation Realm, when it falls ill, also possesses its own hidden immune system. This immune system isn't even affected by the Reincarnation Will. The reason it didn't appear in the past was simply that the damage inflicted upon the Great Reincarnation Realm wasn't severe enough. Even though all universes turned into remnants in the last Epoch Cycle, the most crucial cosmic vitality still belonged to the Great Reincarnation Realm. No matter how much damage was inflicted upon the universes, the overall mass of the Great Reincarnation Realm wasn't significantly affected.

But now it's different. The Reincarnation Lords are frantically plundering the cosmic vitality of one universe after another, and then integrating this cosmic vitality into the Reincarnation Territories of the Epoch Cycle Ancient Tree. This is equivalent to continuously and permanently carving out pieces of the Great Reincarnation Realm. This is what triggered the Great Reincarnation Realm's immune system, generating Reincarnation Sovereigns that function like immune cells.

Rosen immediately conveyed his discovery to all Reincarnation Lords through the destiny network. Moments later, the Reincarnation Lords successively stripped away the cosmic vitality they had plundered and returned it to the Great Reincarnation Realm. Sure enough, when Rosen looked at the universe before him again, the Reincarnation Lifeform that was transforming into a Reincarnation Sovereign within it had stopped halfway through its transformation. The power it had gathered began to dissipate, and it quickly reverted to an ordinary Reincarnation Lifeform.

When the viruses that invade and harm the body disappear, the immune system naturally loses its purpose. In this situation, the soul can naturally continue to manipulate the body. However, it can only superficially control the body for walking, sitting, and lying down. To control the heartbeat, the blood flow, the cells, and the genes—to think of doing so with merely one percent of control over the soul's authority—is impossible. This one percent soul authority control over the Great Reincarnation Realm is probably akin to ALS.

Initially, Rosen believed that ten million Reincarnation Lords with 100% control could fully control the Great Reincarnation Realm. Now, it seemed he had underestimated the Great Reincarnation Realm. Ten million Reincarnation Lords could only manipulate the soul and self of the Great Reincarnation Realm. To fully manipulate the Great Reincarnation Realm's physical body, another portion of the Reincarnation Sovereign's authority would be needed, requiring even more Reincarnation Lifeforms.

Rosen suddenly had a feeling that all of this might be part of the Reincarnation Will's scheme. The Reincarnation Will must have known long ago that another portion of the Reincarnation Sovereign's authority was held by the Great Reincarnation Realm itself. It must have also known that even ten million Reincarnation Lords couldn't control the Great Reincarnation Realm. Therefore, the Reincarnation Will's disruption during the Reincarnation Council was actually to force the Reincarnation Lords to plunder universes in order to grow stronger, and to make him realize that there was another portion of the Reincarnation Sovereign's authority. After all, verbal knowledge can never compare to the profound experience of personal realization.

At the same time, Rosen also understood why the Reincarnation Will didn't transcend reincarnation when the Great Reincarnation Realm was at its weakest. It wasn't that it didn't want to; it was simply impossible. First and foremost, it could be confirmed that the Reincarnation Sovereign's authority at the physical body level of the Great Reincarnation Realm was very likely stronger than the Reincarnation Sovereign's authority at the soul level, which the Reincarnation Will possessed. Therefore, even if the Reincarnation Will were a hundred times stronger, it might not meet the basic conditions for transcending reincarnation.

This is because the Great Reincarnation Realm is too powerful; the difficulty of transcending it is far greater than a Primeval Lifeform transcending a universe. To transcend a universe, a Primeval Lifeform is the most basic requirement. Although a Primeval Lifeform cannot completely control a universe like a Reincarnation Lifeform, a Primeval Lifeform is qualified to slowly destroy a universe, and even capable of piercing through a cosmic barrier. A Reincarnation Lifeform, let alone destroying the Great Reincarnation Realm, cannot even pierce through the Great Reincarnation Realm's cosmic barrier.

If the Great Reincarnation Realm were compared to a universe, a Reincarnation Lifeform would at most be equivalent to an Immortal Lifeform. This means that one must first transcend reincarnation to be qualified to leave the Great Reincarnation Realm. The problem then arises: if one doesn't transcend the Great Reincarnation Realm, how can one transcend reincarnation? This forms a locked loop; no matter what the Reincarnation Will does, it cannot transcend the Great Reincarnation Realm.

Rosen had no doubt that the Reincarnation Will must have conceived countless methods of transcendence in previous Epoch Cycles. However, it's highly likely that the Reincarnation Will eventually despaired, unable to find or conceive of any possibility of transcendence on its own. That's why it began to hide in the shadows, placing its last hopes on countless Reincarnation Lifeforms.

In the Reincarnation Sanctuary, Rosen urgently convened a Reincarnation Council. It was unanimously passed that Reincarnation Lords would not be allowed to permanently plunder cosmic vitality anymore. Only when the Great Reincarnation Realm was on the verge of destruction would they be allowed to permanently plunder one portion of cosmic vitality. The passed Reincarnation proposal imposed a restriction on the Reincarnation Lords. Even if cosmic vitality was plundered, as long as it wasn't integrated into the Reincarnation Territory and permanently separated from the Great Reincarnation Realm, it wouldn't stimulate the Great Reincarnation Realm's immune system. As for non-permanent plunder, no matter how much cosmic vitality was plundered, there would be no issue.

Rosen insisted on holding the Reincarnation Council immediately, simply because he was worried that some Reincarnation Lords might secretly integrate resources. Collective plunder by everyone would trigger an immune system backlash, but a small amount of permanent plunder of cosmic vitality wouldn't cause problems. Otherwise, the proposal wouldn't have granted every Reincarnation Lord a share of permanent cosmic vitality plunder. Therefore, some would surely be unable to resist, thinking of secretly plundering to make themselves stronger. In such a situation, human hearts are unpredictable, and as more and more people secretly plunder, it's highly likely that the immune system would be reactivated.

Although Rosen promptly eliminated the hidden danger and prevented Reincarnation Lords from continuing to permanently plunder cosmic vitality, this didn't mean the Great Reincarnation Realm settled down. Reincarnation Lords still plundered non-renewable treasures and resources from various universes, and still extracted cosmic vitality, but this time it wasn't permanent plunder. Instead, they consumed cosmic vitality for various experiments.

Rosen, by gathering one hundred thousand Reincarnation Lifeforms, successfully created the Reincarnation Lord extraordinary system. This set an example for all Reincarnation Lifeforms. They found it difficult to elevate their own extraordinary systems to the level of an Epoch Sovereign with their individual abilities. However, they could take advantage of the fact that other Reincarnation Lifeforms hadn't yet been born, control them in advance through coercion or temptation, and then use them for their own purposes. Ultimately, they could also gather a large number of Reincarnation Lifeforms and force them to help refine their own extraordinary systems. No one was willing to remain a Reincarnation Lord forever, even if being a Reincarnation Lord offered immense benefits at this stage.

Rosen shared the same idea; he wasn't satisfied with the Reincarnation Lord extraordinary system ending there. Currently, the Reincarnation Lord's limit was his status as an Epoch Sovereign. He needed to continue elevating the Reincarnation Lord's limit. The next step was to be on par with the Reincarnation Sovereign, and the step after that was to transcend reincarnation. So, he also began frantically capturing Reincarnation Lifeforms that hadn't yet been born within universes. Upon finding one, he would plant an indestructible source seed, controlling the life and death of these Reincarnation Lifeforms from their very origin. He gave them no chance to grow and resist, taking advantage of their gestating state to successfully seize control.

In just a few hundred years, although the number of universes in the Great Reincarnation Realm that became cosmic remnants wasn't high, there was no longer a single Reincarnation Lifeform that was truly free. All had been controlled by Reincarnation Lords who took advantage of their vulnerability, becoming tools to assist in perfecting extraordinary systems. Some Reincarnation Lifeforms preferred death over submission, knowing that everything would restart in the next Epoch Cycle's Spacetime Reincarnation. However, many more Reincarnation Lifeforms chose to actively cooperate wholeheartedly. This was because Reincarnation Lords weren't completely denying them a path to survival. As long as they assisted diligently, when the Reincarnation Lords expanded their numbers, these dedicated Reincarnation Lifeforms would surely be the first choice. In such a situation, those who preferred death over submission were a minority.

Therefore, after the initial period of slaughter and chaos, the Great Reincarnation Realm actually fell into an eerie tranquility. All still-living Reincarnation Lifeforms were divided into one hundred thousand and eight groups, commencing research on different extraordinary systems.

According to statistics, the Great Reincarnation Realm contained a total of 1.296 billion universes. The total number of Reincarnation Lifeforms was at least two billion. On average, each councillor-level Reincarnation Lord gathered between ten thousand and twenty thousand Reincarnation Lifeforms around them. As for the Speaker-level Epoch Sovereigns, each gathered at least hundreds of thousands of Reincarnation Lifeforms. Rosen, in particular, gathered a full 1.2 million Reincarnation Lifeforms around him. This was ten times the number he had when he first perfected the Reincarnation Lord extraordinary system. Although the quality of these Reincarnation Lifeforms was not as high as the original one hundred thousand, the more than tenfold increase in numbers was enough to compensate for the disadvantage. Moreover, time was limited back then, and even with time acceleration, they didn't have much time to fully develop the Reincarnation Lord extraordinary system. But now, with an entire Epoch Cycle of 300 billion years, the Reincarnation Lord extraordinary system would undoubtedly advance to a higher level.

The changes in the Great Reincarnation Realm didn't stop there. After all Reincarnation Lifeforms were born, they were all pulled into perfecting extraordinary systems. With over a billion universes lacking powerful Reincarnation Lifeforms controlling everything, it suddenly gave other life forms an opportunity to develop. Those Primeval Lifeforms who could never have become Reincarnation Lifeforms now had the chance to do so. Civilizations that could never have flourished now bloomed, finding space for development. So, for a time, the entire Great Reincarnation Realm astonishingly became prosperous. Without Reincarnation Lifeforms, the Great Reincarnation Realm actually developed better.

And with the help of over a million Reincarnation Lifeforms, Rosen's Reincarnation Lord extraordinary system once again grew. In the past, there were only Reincarnation Lords, but now there were over a million Reincarnation Electors, a tier below Reincarnation Lords. These Reincarnation Electors were not qualified to obtain a Reincarnation Territory, nor were they qualified to hide in the communal territory to avoid Spacetime Reincarnation during an Epoch restart. However, Reincarnation Electors were qualified to elect Reincarnation Lords and also qualified to enhance the extraordinary amplification of the Epoch Cycle Ancient Tree. Therefore, almost all Reincarnation Lords turned the Reincarnation Lifeforms they controlled into Reincarnation Electors.

The extraordinary systems of two billion Reincarnation Lifeforms all converged upon the Epoch Cycle Ancient Tree. With each different extraordinary system complementing the others, the Epoch Cycle Ancient Tree's extraordinary amplification became more than ten times stronger, directly causing a leap in the strength of all Reincarnation Lords. Now, even an ordinary councillor's extraordinary system, while not yet qualitatively transforming into an Epoch Sovereign level, was, in terms of raw power, not much inferior to an Epoch Sovereign under the tenfold extraordinary amplification. If ordinary councillors received such great benefits, not to mention the eight Speakers who were already Epoch Sovereigns.

The Epoch Cycle Ancient Tree, without continuing to plunder the Great Reincarnation Realm's cosmic vitality, had once again achieved leapfrog growth. There was no need to increase the number of Reincarnation Lords; one hundred thousand Reincarnation Lords could now control one-tenth of the Great Reincarnation Realm at its peak. If this were to happen when the Great Reincarnation Realm was on the verge of destruction and at its weakest, they would be able to gain 100% control. However, this was only control at the soul level. To completely control the Great Reincarnation Realm's physical body, another portion of the Reincarnation Sovereign's authority was still needed. Rosen was already finding ways to research this portion of authority.
