Chapter 19 - CHAPTER : 19 : America?

Panama Canal

June 9, 1942

10:00 PM

It takes half a day for the entire Carrier Strike Group to reach the Panama Canal, as Adm. Nimitz showed them the map and the routes they could use to avoid Siren ambushes. Meowfficers on the consoles navigating the routes on the map comparing to the onboard digital map, each steering and turn was inputted inside the navigation log.

Back on Earth, it would have taken them more days if they had sailed from Hawaii to Panama, but this other world had many exploitable loopholes.

The America-Class Amphibious Assault Ship USS Essex is transiting through the Panama Canal. On the flight deck were Lucas, JS Maya, and Lafayette with their rigging, as they moved through the Canal.

"Using the Panama Canal and activating our Riggings to fit and cut travel time is quite an understatement, to say the least," Bunker Hill-76 said, as she looked at the view of the forest and hills in the canal under the moonlight.

"The US Military always finds a loophole and uses it as it pleases," Lucas said, looking at the view.

Enterprise-80 was sitting in a foldable chair, reading a newspaper she had bought at one of the stores at the canal's entrance. The store owner mistakenly identified her as CV-6 USS Enterprise and gave her a 20% discount on her purchases.

"He's still the President, huh," she muttered to herself.

Spock was beside her, also reading.

Frigate Belfast was preparing snacks for everyone in the amphibious ship's galley, with calm music playing on the speaker system.

JS Maya was practicing sword skills with Lafayette in their Riggings on the flight deck of the Amphibious Ship.

"You need to be proficient with your sword, Lafayette-san," JS Maya said, whacking him with her sword.

Lafayette, on the ground rubbing his backside from the fall, said, "It's easier said than done," still feeling the pain.

Lucas laughed at him for getting beaten by JS Maya. "HAHAHA. That was a good show, kid."

"Damn you, Crayon Eater!" Lafayette shouted.

Lafayette received the treatment of every younger brother from their big brother, and Lucas treated him accordingly by insulting and making fun of him.

Lucas brought out a box of crayons. "Want some?" he said with a smirk.

Lafayette had an expression of disbelief plastered on his face. "The fuck!"

"Focused, Lafayette-san," JS Maya said, then faced Lucas. "Would you mind?" she asked, wanting space for their sparing.

"Alright, alright. I'm just here watching," he said, backing off.

William was making a blueprint of a reverse-engineered plasma cannon from the Elite-Siren they'd 'acquired.' He was using the plasma cannon as a reference to improve the HILIOS Laser Weapon System.

He was asked to create a working prototype before they entered the conflict. This new Weapon System would supplement their Close-In Weapon System in swarm attack situations.

Laffey-200 was sleeping on one of the pushback tugs. Flight Deck Crews/Manjuu gathered to devise a plan to remove the sleeping bunny from the pushback tugs.

Essex was inside the bridge, controlling the ship. Manjuus and Meowfficers fiddled with the various control and radar panels in the ship's bridge.

Denver-856 was doing gunnery practice with her Benelli M4, alongside other heavily Armed Manjuu on the flight deck.

Above the Panama Canal, four F/A-25 Hellcats loitered in the night sky, conducting aerial surveillance uncontested. AH-64 Apaches, armed with Hellfire Missiles, hovered around the ship, their infrared cameras searching the cliffs and hills surrounding the canal for suspicious movement.

Mk38 Machinegun Systems and Phalanx CIWS were active. M2 Browning and M240 machine guns were manned by Manjuus behind stacks of sandbags.

Manjuus armed with FIM-92 Stingers looked at the night sky with their night vision goggles. They were ready to take down any aerial threat that might manage to pass the air defense.

Norfolk Naval Base, Virginia

June 10, 1942

6:00 AM

It took the Carrier Strike Group another half-day to reach mainland Eagle Union. What greeted them at Norfolk Naval Base were WW2 Ships from other factions, ranging from Battleships and Cruisers to Destroyers. Dockyard workers, Manjuu, and shipgirls watched as the modern warships entered the Naval Base.

A Richelieu-Class Battleship and two Le Triumphant-Class Destroyers of the Iris Libre Faction, and two Queen Elizabeth-Class Battleships and two Dido-Class Light Cruisers of the Royal Navy Faction were docked on the other side of the pier.

The Carrier Strike Group was led by Tugs, maneuvering them into the harbor to dock. The appearance of these massive vessels caught the attention of many onlookers from Eagle Union Shipgirls, Dockyard Workers, and random citizens passing by.

"That's quite a big ship. How did they make this kind of ship?" one of the shipgirls with red hair asked.

"I don't know what kind of faction would build such ships that would require a lot of resources and manpower," a Shipgirl with silver hair said.

"According to Adm. Nimitz, they were from another world. So the faction that built them must be rich," a shipgirl with dark-violet hair said.

The Modern Warships waved the flags of their respective countries, as the wind carried them for others to see. Many were puzzled by the American flag and compared it to the Eagle Union flag as the Carrier Strike Group docked at the harbor.

Lucas, Bunker Hill-76, and Frigate Belfast stepped off their ship and headed to the USS Enterprise flight deck. Enterprise-80 was waiting for them on her ship, with a CMV-22 Osprey being checked and prepared by the flight deck crews/Manjuu behind her.

The CMV-22 Osprey is currently used by the US Navy. It has more range and larger fuel tanks than any other variant of the V-22 Osprey. The CMV-22 Osprey replaced the C-2 Greyhound as the new Carrier Cargo Plane.

The Manjuu gave thumbs up to each other as they finished checking for any defects that could hinder flight operations. Then, the CMV-22 Osprey swiveled its wings, the two tilt rotors unfolded and aligned themselves.

Enterprise-80 addressed them. "We're going to be meeting the leaders and flagships of every faction from Azur Lane, and also 'the President' of Eagle Union. So, I want all of you to be on your best behavior. Remember... we are not in the America we used to know."

After that address, Lucas, Bunker Hill-76, Frigate Belfast, and Enterprise-80 boarded the CMV-22 Osprey without delay. The Osprey started slowly hovering on the deck, tilted its rotors forward, and flew towards Washington D.C.

Lucas was their security; a Marine Security Guard or MSG, ensuring the safety of the diplomatic mission to conduct diplomacy abroad in a safe environment.

Frigate Belfast was there to assist Enterprise-80 and Bunker Hill-76, who would represent the Carrier Strike Group and America.

Essex-12, JS Maya, Lafayette, Laffey-200, and Denver-856 were left to guard the ships, because they didn't want another incident like Pearl.

At the harbor, Heavily Armed Manjuu were establishing a security perimeter, setting up checkpoints. Unmanned Ground Vehicles with mounted .50cal. and MK-19 grenade launchers on their turrets acted as heavy fire support for Manjuu in case they needed it.

Heavily armed Manjuu kept the press, Journalists, and photographers from taking pictures. They also kept everyone, even dockyard workers, from getting near the modern warships.

Journalists and photographers tried their best to get a scoop, but their photos and films were confiscated.

RHIBs, armed with mixed weapons like .50cal., M138 Mini-Guns and M240 machine guns, patrolled for divers while setting up torpedo nets.

MPs and harbor security could not interfere with the security perimeter deployed by the heavily armed Manjuu.

They just stood there and watched a bunch of heavily armed chickens beat a journalist for trespassing the security perimeter the Manjuu had set up.

Freedom of the press wasn't going to work on classified military equipment, especially when these chickens were in DEFCON Fuck.

"Do you think we will get involved in this Azur Lane and Crimson Axis war?" Lafayette asked with slight concern, as he looked at the CMV-22 Osprey heading to Washington D.C.

"After the incident in Pearl... maybe?" Essex-12 replied, giving orders to the Manjuu.

"Oh, by the way, Miss Enterprise informed me that you are responsible for feeding Spock," Essex-12 said.

"Wait, what?" Before Lafayette could make an excuse, Spock landed on his head and screeched, flapping his wings.

"Ouch! AHHHHH! My head! Get this bird off my head...!"

"Good luck, kiddo...!" Essex-12 said, giving a thumbs up.

Lafayette ran around, trying to shake Spock off his head. Spock's talons gripped his head tightly.

Laffey-200 was in her Ship's CIC, looking at the monitor for aerial threats and 'weird signals' that might cause interference to their plans.

"This is Laffey. The skies are clear. But..." Laffey-200 paused, looking at the monitor screen.

"But?"

"I've detected an Enigma machine signal 30 kilometers away from Naval Base Norfolk."

"Find its coordinates; we might conduct an air strike to neutralize this threat."

"Roger that." Laffey-200's artificial intelligence started tracking the Enigma signals and mapped the whole area.

SSN-856 USS Denver was outside the opening of the naval base. She was ordered to listen and intercept any unwanted underwater visitors that might want to sneak into the harbor entrance.

"This is Denver. I'm in position," she radioed.

"Copy that, Denver. Wait for further orders."

"Yes, ma'am."

Front lawn, White House, Washington D.C.

Two elderly couples in their 60s and a bunch of Military High-Ranks and their Security Details were waiting on the front lawn of the White House. At the fence of the White House, crowds gathered to watch an unprecedented event about to happen.

News all over mainland Eagle Union about the new Modern Kansens that came from another world had recently joined the alliance. Many of the crowds were there to witness the event where their leader would make contact.

Along with the crowd, Journalists with their cameras were ready to take a snapshot of a scoop for the news companies to profit from the news reels.

"The guests will arrive by aircraft, according to the report given to us by these Kansens," the Army High-Rank said, as everyone next to him was confused about why they would use Aircraft for their destination.

"There are no nearby airfields around here... how are they going to land here? Are they trying to land vertically on the front lawn?" the Army-Air Corps High-Rank responded.

"There is no such aircraft that exists that can do that," the Navy High-Rank Said in disbelief that such an Aircraft could exist in this time.

"What if such an Aircraft does exist?" a woman in her 60s wearing a dress said, catching the attention of the Military High-Ranks.

"There is no such aircraft that exists," the Army-Air Corps High-Rank said, objecting to the old woman's view.

Then, they heard a particular sound of rotating rotors that reverberated through the skies above the White House. The sound was similar to a rotating propeller, but different from the ordinary sound of a rotating rotor of airplanes they knew.

As they looked up, a silhouette of a Gray Aircraft with two propellers, one on each side of its wings, was heading to the White House airspace.

"How are they going to land here?" the Army-Air Corps High-Rank asked, eyeing the Aircraft.

But then, the two front-facing rotors slowly tilted upward mid-air, bewildering them as the Aircraft slowly descended vertically onto the front lawn. Air vortices formed at the two tilt rotors as it slowly descended.

They all covered their faces from the gust of wind or any dust blown by the downward force of the massive propellers of the CMV-22 Osprey.

"Does that answer your question, gentlemen?" an old man in his 60s wearing a suit said to the bewildered military high-ranks.

The rear door of the 'alien' looking aircraft opened, and 10 Heavily Armed Manjuu with M4A1s came out and formed a circular defense line around the aircraft.

The military high-ranks were amazed at the fluidity of their movements with professionalism, without any delays. They only saw color guards and security personnel perform this kind of formation.

One Manjuu waved its wing/hand in the air, signaling something. Then, a man wearing USMC Dress Blues came out, followed by three women. One was wearing an admiral uniform with a cap, one was wearing a navy-blue coat and a light blue dress, and the last one was wearing a maid outfit.

"Okay, let's greet them," the old man said, as the marching band started playing the national anthem.

The media started flashing their cameras, along with cheering crowds, that fell silent at the sight of the V22 Osprey doing a vertical landing.

"Hello there, miss. You must be USS Enterprise CVN-80. My name is Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 32nd President of Eagle Union. And this is my wife, the First Lady, Anna Eleanor Roosevelt."

The old man introduced himself as FDR, and the woman beside him was Eleanor, as they both offered a handshake.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. President and Mrs. Roosevelt. Yes, my name is USS Enterprise CVN-80, third of the Ford-class supercarriers of the United States Navy," Enterprise-80 introduced herself, taking the handshake offer from the President and First Lady.

"The name is USS Bunker Hill CGN-75, third of the Lexington-class cruisers of the United States Navy," Bunker Hill-76 introduced herself and shook hands with the President and First Lady.

"The name is USS Jack H. Lucas DDG-125, 75th of the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers of the United States Navy," Lucas introduced himself and shook hands with the President and First Lady.

"The name is HMS Belfast FF-90, 3rd of the Type-26 or City-class frigates of the British Royal Navy," Frigate Belfast bowed as she introduced herself.

The three High-Ranking Military Officers besides the President and First Lady introduced themselves as Adm. King, Gen. Eisenhower, and Gen. Lemay.

As they finished greeting and introducing themselves, they took pictures from the press and journalists.

Then, a convoy of eight 1940s cars arrived at the gate of the front lawn of the White House. Two of the eight cars were decorated like they were royalty.

One of the regular cars with a French flag look-alike, security personnel opened the passenger door, and a woman and two girls came out.

And the other fancy car, decorated with gold and a royal family crest with a flag that looked like a Union Jack with a lion ensign, opened its passenger door, and two girls and two maids came out while being assisted by royal guards.

"Looks like we made it first," a girl with a small crown carrying a mast/staff proudly declared as she stepped onto the walkway of the front lawn.

"I think not, Your Majesty, look," a girl carrying a sword with an anchor as a hilt said, pointing at the four right beside the Eagle Union leaders.

The two maids whispered to each other after seeing the presence of Frigate Belfast. "Is that her?"

The other maid whispered back, "It seems like it. She seems quite different."

"Yeah..." They then both glanced at Frigate Belfast.

"Seems like someone has already taken the spotlight first. Right, Your Majesty Queen Elizabeth?" a blond woman holding a spear and bible spoke.

A girl with a small crown carrying a mast/staff is HMS Queen Elizabeth or Queen Elizabeth.

This infuriated Queen Elizabeth, as she wasn't first in the spotlight. "Damn you, Richelieu!"

She said infuriatingly, raising a fist; her manners didn't reflect any royalty as someone insulted her pride.

She then turned to her side. "Warspite! How did they get here first?" she asked in an angry tone.

A girl carrying a sword with an anchor as a hilt is HMS Warspite or Warspite. And a blond woman holding a spear and bible is FFNF Richelieu or Richelieu.

"Looks like they used that odd aircraft, Your Majesty," Warspite pointed at the parked CMV-22 Osprey as it was being guarded by the Manjuu armed with M4A1s.

"That is quite an odd aircraft; it is similar to one of Iron Blood's top-secret projects. How did they obtain this kind of technology?" Queen Elizabeth looked at the weird aircraft, analyzing its intricate mechanism.

But their 1940s monarch failed to understand the intricate mechanism of an aircraft that was developed with 21st-century technology, decades ahead of the propeller-driven and piston-engine-powered aircraft she knew.

Smoke billowed from her head as the gears didn't understand any of the mechanisms of the aircraft.

Richelieu noticed the Queen was having a hard time processing how such an aircraft landed in the middle of the front lawn.

"Shall we greet them, Your Majesty?" she inquired as she walked over.

Queen Elizabeth let out a little growl at Richelieu; even from another world, Britain and France still had the same love-hate relationship.

"You're right. Warspite, let's go; let's not make them wait any longer," Queen Elizabeth remarked, calming her tone.

The two leaders/flagships of the factions and their accompanied security details walked toward the location of the four modern Kansens and the other Eagle Union official members.

Enterprise-80 asked FDR in a low tone. "Is she the... Queen?"

"Yes. But, be careful; she's.... quite... childish sometimes," FDR warned about the Queen's tendencies.

"Adm. Philips already informed me about her tendency to act childish. I'll be careful," she said, as FDR nodded in acknowledgment.

Lucas noticed a girl carrying a sword with an anchor looking at him. Shivers ran down his spine as she tried to read his movement and reaction.

'Damn. She looks like a... corgi with a sword,' he thought as he made a poker face.

"Please introduce yourselves..., Royal Subjects!" Queen Elizabeth remarks.

Formalities dropped as Enterprise-80, Bunker Hill-76, and Lucas looked at her with disbelief and shock. Every gaze from the Modern Kansens was like their Onboard Targeting Systems were pointed at her with all weapons ready and armed.

"Royal Subjects?" Enterprise-80 inquired such blunt remark.

Lucas leaned a bit to his side and whispered. "Do you want me to throw some tea in the harbor?"

"Lucas... not now; there's a time and place for that," Enterprise-80 said, maintaining her composure. "I have my ways with her."

In Enterprise-80's mind, she would have loved to give the Queen a little bit of freedom, in the American way, as possible. But her playful mind was thinking of something more efficient yet embarrassing for the little monarch.

Lucas slowly nodded without being noticed. "Yes, ma'am."

Frigate Belfast stared at her with utter disappointment and disgust; her eyes were telling her she was about to shove this brat into a metal furnace.

The Eagle Union official members just face-palmed and frowned, because they knew how prideful and inexperienced Queen Elizabeth was. She also acted childish every time a meeting was held outside Royal Navy property or territory.

"Great. You ruined everything... you, brat," Richelieu mumbled to herself, her brows twitching.

Warspite whispered to her. "Your Majesty, you need to act professional; we're in Eagle Union, and there are cameras around."

Queen Elizabeth whispered back reassuringly. "I know... I know...."

"Your Majesty, they're from another world. They are not from here, and we need to be careful with our approach."

"Fine...." Queen Elizabeth said, pouting.

FDR broke this awkward situation by greeting them. "Your Majesty Queen Elizabeth and Miss Richelieu. I am thankful that you made it in time. Shall we go inside?"

After that awkward moment, they went inside the White House.

Oval Office.

"We appreciate your help, Miss Enterprise, for helping us fight the Sirens. But, because of the situation about the Azur Lane and Crimson Axis, it is making the operation against the Sirens more and more difficult. So we—" FDR was cut off by Enterprise-80.

"So, you want us to help you bring the Crimson Axis back to the Azur Lane Alliance to focus all of your war effort against the Sirens?" Enterprise-80 said, looking everyone in the eye.

All of them nodded in agreement, then FDR spoke again. "Yes. Miss Enterprise, that's right. We want you to help us bring back the Crimson Axis to the Azur Lane Alliance."

"According to Wales' and Adm. Philips' report, you have quite a knowledge of the danger of Siren tech?" Queen Elizabeth spoke with manners now, after she saw how Frigate Belfast would have punished her.

Frigate Belfast did not break her gaze at her. Queen Elizabeth tried to avoid eye contact with her; she knew how scary Belfast's dark side was.

"Yes. I think... this is only my theory about the Sirens letting the Axis have their tech. The Sirens are letting their tech hatch in the Axis' hands, and if it hatches, the Sirens will take it back," Enterprise-80 said in a serious tone.

"So basically, the Sirens are using the Axis' resources and labor to build their weapons and waiting until we exhaust ourselves?" Gen. Eisenhower spoke.

Enterprise-80 nodded in agreement. "Yes. The Sirens are only using them, as they watch from the sidelines."

"That's what I thought first," FDR said, rubbing his chin.

"Adm. Nimitz reported that you faced an Elite-Siren named Tester β and defeated her in under a minute?" Adm. King asked.

"Yes. On the first day we got transported to this world. Our first encounter was a fleet of Sirens waiting for our arrival. We are currently making a countermeasure against the Siren weaponry," Enterprise-80 said, surprising everyone.

"Your arrival???"

"Yes. Seems like the Sirens knew about us coming and prepared a warm welcome," she said.

Warspite asked a question that caught everyone's attention, especially the men in the room.

"Why do you have a male Kansen with you? Are they safe from Siren hypnotism?" she asked while staring at Lucas intently.

"I am betting my ass... I can stare into their eyes without being hypnotized," Lucas said bluntly with a hint of cockiness, staring back at her.

"Don't get cocky just because you're a Kansen. You didn't see how the Sirens used the hypnotized men," she said.

"Yes, I can. Grand Old Lady," Lucas said the last words to tease her.

"Grand... Old Lady???" she inquired as the sound came out provocative.

"That's the nickname given to you back in our world."

"Why... you...." Warspite gripped the hilt of her sword tightly, like she was about to launch an attack on him.

The atmosphere between these two was heavy, as the two were locked in a staring contest. Everyone could sense the tense atmosphere forming between them. Warspite was not convinced that Lucas was invulnerable to Siren hypnotism.

Bunker Hill-76 spoke to break the tension. "William is currently looking for a solution to that."

"William... who is he? And also, you have a ship named after an Iris Orthodoxy, right?" Richelieu asked, her curiosity piqued after reading a report about Lafayette.

"William is our cargo ship and also acts as a repair ship in case we need it. Lafayette is one of the male ships and our frigate who specializes in anti-submarine warfare and convoy escorts," Bunker Hill-76 answered Richelieu's question, glancing at the two girls standing behind Richelieu.

The two destroyers behind Richelieu stood still while they listened to the conversation.

"Can you please tell us about your nation and its military? We are curious about it after Adm. Nimitz gave us the report about your world," Gen. Lemay asked.

"You really want to know?" Enterprise-80 asked, as everyone leaned closer and nodded. "Okay, Bunker Hill, can you please elaborate for them."

Bunker Hill-76 had been informed by Enterprise-80 back in the CMV-22 Osprey not to reveal any sensitive information like the country's GDP, modern weaponry including nukes, and their world standing, and only tell them the common knowledge.

"The United States of America, USA, or America in general, consists of 50 states. Those 50 states are represented by the 50 stars in the canton of the flag. The 13 stripes represent the original 13 colonies that birthed the nation."

"That's quite similar to Eagle Union's history when our country was just a rising nation," FDR said, contemplating.

"The US military has five branches that have five different roles in safeguarding our nation's interests on the global stage: The United States Army, The United States Navy, The United States Marine Corps, the United States Air Force, and the United States Space Force."

The Faction Leaders and Flagships were all flabbergasted at the number of military branches in the US military.

"Five branches of the military! How do they maintain those five branches of your military?" Queen Elizabeth exclaimed; she had never heard of as many as three or four military branches before.

"Her Majesty is right. How do you maintain a five-branch military? To us, two or three branches are enough to sustain the military budget," FDR said, thinking the US military spent too much to maintain those five branches.

Bunker Hill-76 cleared her throat and continued her explanation. "We only spend 3% of our GDP on military defense."

'3%? That's quite low for any military spending. Unless...' FDR thought, suspecting that 3% spending.

"The US Army was originally named The Continental Army before America became a nation itself. The United States Army is third in line for military budget spending; the maintenance and readiness of ground troops and vehicles is their number one priority."

FDR thought. 'The US Army is quite similar to Eagle Union when we were first founded.'

"The United States Navy was also named The Continental Navy before America became a country. The United States Navy contains 386 Combatant Ships and maintains sea routes in the Western world with 15 fleets centered around the supercarriers. Maintaining sea routes is pricey, as the United States Navy is number one of the five branches when it comes to military budget expenditure."

"Maintaining sea routes really is costly, even in your own world," Adm. King said, seeing the struggle of maintaining sea routes. He too was tasked with monitoring the sea routes in the Atlantic Ocean.

"The Marine Corps was formed as a security force for United States naval vessels. Throughout the past century, they became America's emergency action force. They were last and almost forgotten when it came to military budget spending."

"So, the Marines in your world grew into something else. But our Marine Corps was disbanded to conserve manpower and resources in making Shipgirls and Wisdom Cubes," Gen. Eisenhower said, thinking of the day when the announcement of the dismantlement and integration of the Corps to the Army was made.

"Well.... we almost got disbanded to conserve resources and spending. But, they couldn't get rid of us that easily—because we are the ones being called in times of crisis in any region on Earth," Lucas stated.

"The United States Air Force broke away from the Army. They were originally named the United States Army Air Corps. When the dawn of the 20th century arrived, the need for air power arose. The United States Air Force became the second in military budget expense, because the Air Force is providing logistics in the air and ground."

Gen. Lemay slowly smiled as he heard the Army Air Corps became their own branch. 'So, they became their own branch and have their own founding. Interesting.'

"The US Air Force got second in the military budget. Maintaining airpower is pricey these days..."

FDR nodded slowly, as he too thought of separating the Air Corps from the Army to be their own branch.

"The Space Force broke off from the United States Air Force, as the Air Force focused solely on air power and air superiority. The Space Force's job is to gather intelligence and distribute it to the other four branches of the military."

"Space Force? Are they in space?" FDR asked.

"Sadly, no, Mr. President. The Space Force is mainly on land and in comfortable offices, as they distribute information to all four branches of the military. They are also the fourth military budget spender, as they gather information from above, the surface, and underwater," she said.

Queen Elizabeth and Warspite thought, 'So, intelligence is so powerful that they created a dedicated branch to secure it.'

They didn't spill out the whole information about the GDP and the military budget that reached trillions of dollars, with a big capital T.

"About your situation against the Axis Powers, we will join you in your endeavors against them. Staying out of this crisis will only help them grow with the help of Siren Technology," Enterprise-80 said and smiled.

The mood in the room lit up as a powerful warship joined them in the fight against the Sirens and the Crimson Axis Alliance. FDR and Enterprise-80 both stood up and shook hands in agreement.

"Thank you... it will be an honor working with you, Miss Enterprise."

"Likewise, Mr. President. It will be an honor working with you too," Enterprise-80 said.

"I think that's enough for today," FDR said as everyone stood up and started walking outside the Oval Office. Eleanor came in as everyone left the Oval Office and went beside FDR.

"Do you think we can win this war?" Eleanor asked FDR as she hugged him from behind.

FDR held her hands firmly and spoke. "Yes."

"How can you be certain?"

"I can see it in her eyes... she is determined to use any kind of force to win."

"Any kind of force to win... that sounds scary," Eleanor said.

"I know... but I'm glad she's on our side," FDR said with reassurance in his voice.

At the White House hallway, a Presidential Aide was guiding the modern Kansens to the entrance of the White House.

"Is it okay for us not telling them our standing back in our world?" Lucas asked in a low volume to not attract any suspicions.

"No. If they find out too early, they would grow incompetent and use us as they like without knowing any of the consequences and responsibilities," Enterprise-80 said.

"You're saying you're not going to let them have big egos and use us willy-nilly," Frigate Belfast said.

"They are humans... they can be corrupted by power and greed, so we need to be careful about showing off our abilities too much," Bunker Hill-76 said like a secretary with a serious undertone.

"Eagle Union is too young to hold this kind of power. We need to be careful about our Modern Weaponry... this could lead them to arrogance."

The Modern Kansens and Enterprise-80 nodded in agreement; they were careful not to reveal everything about their world. Code-G warned her about how humanity can be corrupted by greed and power.
