The battle continued to escalate, becoming less a clash between two fighters and more a cataclysm in motion. The heavens cracked, lightning tore through the warped sky, and space itself twisted where their blows collided. Dave, in his Super Saiyan Destroyer Mode, was holding his ground against Beerus longer than anyone expected—even Goku and Vegeta stood in awe, their energy drowned out by the titanic storm overhead.
Dave delivered a spinning kick that sent Beerus crashing into a mountainside with a thunderous boom. Without hesitation, Dave followed up with a beam of violet energy, searing across the battlefield like a blade of destruction. The mountain detonated in a flash of light and fury.
But when the smoke cleared—Beerus was still standing, breathing calmly, though his robes were torn and a small cut traced his cheek.
He grinned.
"Impressive."
And then Beerus vanished.
Before Dave could react, a fist buried itself into his ribs from the side, knocking the breath from his lungs. Another strike to the spine sent him crashing to the earth. Beerus didn't stop—his fists blurred, each one precise, brutal, refined. Dave raised his arms in defense, grunting as he was pushed further and further back.
His aura flickered.
His strength, immense as it was, began to buckle under the sheer mastery Beerus wielded.
"You've got godlike power," Beerus said, his voice flat as he unleashed a final, crushing elbow into Dave's chest, sending him rocketing into the ground below. "But its is still nothing compared to mine"
BOOM.
A crater the size of a city bloomed from the impact.
Dave coughed blood as he struggled to rise. His aura was dimmer now, flickering like a candle in the wind. His Destroyer form was cracking—straining to stay active. Every muscle in his body screamed. His vision blurred.
Beerus floated above him, arms crossed.
"Is that all?"
Dave grinned through the blood.
"Yeah... think that's all... for now," he muttered before collapsing to one knee, finally dropping out of his Destrier form. His hair returned to normal, and the storm above began to fade.
Goku rushed forward with Vegeta behind him.
"He pushed Lord Beerus… farther than any of us ever did," Goku said in awe.
Vegeta clenched his fists, jaw tight. "He lost. But not in shame."
Whis chuckled lightly. "yes, he lost but if he were on the Super Saiyan stages as you two , I wonder what would have been the result"
Beerus descended slowly, looking at Dave's exhausted form. "You're not ready to beat me… but you're getting close. Keep fighting like that… and you might one day become a real threat."
"Beerus then looked at Supreme Kai as he said " Add him to team"
"yes as you wish" Supreme Kai said as Beerus nodded.
He turned, walking past the others. "Whis. Let's go."
"Yes, my Lord."
As they began to vanish, Whis gave Dave a nod and a mysterious smile.
"You've taken your first step into the realm of gods."
Silence settled over the battlefield, broken only by the wind. Dave breathed heavily, eyes barely open, but a small smirk still curled his lips.
He'd lost—but only barely.
And next time… might be different.
Goku walked over to Dave and pulled out a Senzu Bean. "Here, eat this. It'll help," he said, offering it with a grin.
Dave took the bean and nodded, popping it into his mouth. As he chewed and swallowed, the bruises and injuries across his body rapidly faded, his energy returning in a surge.
"This was the first time I've been beaten this badly," Dave said, standing up and cracking his neck.
Goku nodded in agreement. "Still, you were right. I can't believe you're this powerful already."
Vegeta, standing nearby with arms crossed, narrowed his eyes at Dave. "What are those two forms? The green one and the violet one?"
Dave glanced at him and shrugged. "Those are just my own twisted versions of the Super Saiyan forms. When I go berserk, my power explodes—I kind of lose control and turn wild like a mad beast. The green form is one stage, and the violet one is when I push even deeper. I've managed to control them now… more or less."
The Supreme Kai stepped forward. "Broly's Super Saiyan transformation—especially in his case—only reaches up to a couple of stages. But Goku, Vegeta, you two have achieved more refined forms. If you can help him access those same paths, we might have a real chance in the Tournament of Power."
Vegeta scoffed and turned away. "Tch. Fine. I'll leave that to Kakarot."
Goku scratched his head and laughed. "Heh, I guess that means I'm your teacher then."
Dave smirked. "Well… I've had worse."
They all made their way to the nearest city, traveling in silence for the most part. Dave was still trying to grasp everything he had experienced in his battle with Beerus. His mind was racing as he reflected on the power he'd tapped into. As they walked through the city's streets, he couldn't help but notice how the environment felt completely different now. Everything here is peaceful as if they never fought a Earth shaking battle some miles away from them.
Dave's stomach growled, interrupting his thoughts, but he paid little attention to it. His body had always been ravenous after battle, but the hunger he felt now was unlike anything he'd ever experienced. It wasn't just the usual appetite that came with burning through so much energy. No, this was something deeper, something primal.
He eyed the food stalls and eateries as they passed by, a slight frown forming on his face. The savory smells of sizzling meat and fresh vegetables filled the air, but they didn't seem to register as they once had. Even the most tantalizing of dishes couldn't seem to satisfy him anymore. He reached for his stomach, trying to understand the gnawing emptiness inside.
"This hunger…" Dave muttered, his voice almost distant.
"Something wrong?" Goku asked, noticing the frown on Dave's face. He had a casual grin on his face, but it faltered when he saw the look on Dave's.
