Thank You, "LordJ", For Becoming A Member On My Pa'treon. The Emperor Protect.
-----------
Brit and the others never imagined that the enclosure for "The Old Man" would be so huge that even the containment chamber is no longer suitable; it should be called a containment zone. The enormous suspended square building is the real containment chamber, and it is suspended in the air without touching anything.
The group estimated that the reason for constructing it this way likely has something to do with the power of "The Old Man." However, until now, they haven't found the file for "The Old Man," and their understanding of its background is only superficial.
However, they should be able to find the file after a while because they have come to the observation room. The so-called observation room was named by the group; it is a very large room that stretches a long distance inward.
On the wall facing the direction of the hall, there is a very large piece of glass. You can see the lobby very clearly, and the suspended room is within it. There are many tables, cabinets, and various instruments with unknown functions in the room. The Level 5 Keycard and the file they were looking for should be here.
"Finally here! Let's search separately; the target is the Level 5 Keycard. Um... it would be even better if you could find the file for 'The Old Man'..." Brit said.
"OK!" The group nodded and dispersed.
Although the entire observation room is very large, with quite a lot of desks and cabinets, there isn't much of the real stuff. Soon, Brit saw a file pressed under a keyboard on top of a computer desk. Brit moved the keyboard away, picked up the file, and looked at it carefully.
[ SCP-106, "The Old Man" ]
[ Object Class: Keter ]
[ Description: SCP-106 appears to be an elderly humanoid, with a general appearance of advanced decomposition. This appearance may vary, but the "rotting" quality is observed in all forms. SCP-106 is not exceptionally agile and will remain motionless for days at a time, waiting for prey. SCP-106 is also capable of scaling any vertical surface and can remain suspended upside down indefinitely. When attacking, SCP-106 will attempt to incapacitate prey by damaging major organs, muscle groups, or tendons, then pull disabled prey into its pocket dimension. SCP-106 appears to prefer human prey items in the 10-25 years of age bracket.
SCP-106 causes a "corrosion" effect in all solid matter it touches, engaging a physical breakdown in materials several seconds after contact. This is observed as rusting, rotting, and cracking of materials, and the creation of a black, mucus-like substance similar to the material coating SCP-106. This effect is particularly detrimental to living tissues and is assumed to be a "pre-digestion" action. Corrosion continues for six hours after contact, after which the effect appears to "burn out".
SCP-106 is capable of passing through solid matter, leaving behind a large patch of its corrosive mucus. SCP-106 can "vanish" inside solid matter, entering what is assumed to be a form of "pocket dimension". SCP-106 is then able to exit this dimension from any point connected to the initial entry point (examples: "entering" the inner wall of a room, and "exiting" the outer wall. Entering a wall, and exiting from the ceiling). It is unknown if this is the point of origin for SCP-106, or a simple "lair" created by SCP-106. ]
The file on "The Old Man" is long, but the group examined it for a while before finishing it. After reading it, they wore dazed and somewhat apprehensive expressions on their faces.
Kiwo shook her head and sighed, "It turns out that the scary old man is like this. What exactly is that kind of Pocket Dimension? Why can there be a Pocket Dimension? It's so strange!"
RT touched his chin and said, "Can 'The Old Man' be killed? It's too harmful. Won't the Foundation kill it? Ah, no, probably the Foundation can't kill it; otherwise, they wouldn't have kept it forever..."
Vale grinned and said, "I can't kill him for sure; 'The Old Man' is a powerhouse. He is even more overpowered than that 'Plague Doctor'... Wait, they are the same."
Brit glanced at the file again, shook his head, and said, "Tsk, 'The Old Man.' I want to know how many monsters like 'The Old Man' there are in the Foundation. For example, does the Foundation have more than one site like this one?"
After Brit finished speaking, the group fell silent.
[ ===== ]
Even the viewers started a heated discussion:
"I have a feeling that the Foundation should be an extremely large organization. Could their purpose be to contain monsters and protect the world?"
"It makes sense! Contain all the monsters and prevent them from endangering humans..."
"I feel inexplicably that the background of this game is very secretive and vast! Wow! I want to know the truth of everything!"
[ ===== ]
Brit and the others didn't think for too long. They believe that as the game progresses, the truth of everything will gradually emerge, and their current goal is to beat the game as quickly as possible.
"Okay, let's look for it again! We need to find the Level 5 Keycard before we can go to other places!" Brit said.
They nodded and dispersed again to search around the huge room. Soon, Kiwo found the Level 5 Keycard in a drawer in the filing cabinet, and it was a red keycard. According to the guidepost, the key can almost open all the doors that require swiping on the entire site. In other words, a Level 5 Keycard is almost equivalent to a universal card.
"It's all right now; we have a Level 5 Keycard, and we can travel almost unimpeded from now on!" Brit received the Level 5 Keycard from Kiwo, and he was in a very good mood.
The others were also all smiles as they looked forward to the next breakthrough.
But just when they were about to leave, Vale casually opened the right drawer of a computer desk and found another file!
"Huh? Here's another document!" Vale was surprised and took out the file at the same time.
Several people were drawn to it, and they all walked over to examine the documents. At the beginning of the file, it read:
[ Recall Protocol ██ -███ -█: ]
