Chapter 124 - Tsa & Company

The mage, floating high above the training grounds, noticed that he had been spotted. I see, that undead guy was able to perceive me from this far… He might be a problem for our world domination. To spot me, he would need to be no less than level 90. If I was a holy magic user he'd be quite a bit easier to deal with… And then there's always the possibility of this person having a world level item. I should return home, and come up with a plan. Ideally with 3 of us. He disappeared from sight.

Hmm, seems like that player decided to act more cautiously than I thought. Whoever he was, he was definitely at least level 100. Of that, I am certain. If they are being that cautious, then it's likely to become far more chaotic in the near future.

Elsewhere, a gathering of dragons with Tsa at the head, took place. This was the group that led the third largest settlement of people. Issanth was laying off to the side, covered in wounds.

"We have confirmation that there are new players in this world. And they are extremely hostile to us all."

"I'm lucky that Brightness, and the other two were nearby. Even so, it took everything we had to kill that evil player."

The other dragons in the gathering made a collective gulp. And just as they did so, a druid and a priest arrived from the city. Both of them began to inspect Issanth's wounds, but the druid, having been a 3rd generation student of Night Silver herself, knew at a glance that some of these wounds were beyond his ability to heal.

"My apologies Lady Issanth, these wounds…" The druid's knuckles whitened upon his quarterstaff. "I can't heal them. You'd need Goddess Danu's aid, or perhaps one of her holy children."

"So that's what her other name is then? Danu… I still prefer using her name, Sil." Issanth coughed, then looked towards the priest. "And what of yourself?"

"This level of damage is beyond me as well. Though I believe we can heal a few of the minor wounds."

"Looks like I need to make a trip-"

"No, you don't. Sorry it took me a while. But getting things calmed down took a little effort."

"Sil! You came! Wait, isn't it dangerous for you to be away from Tus Nadair?"

She shook her head. "I am capable of returning in an instant, so there's no need to worry about it. And I cast every buff I have in my arsenal on those who can fight. It won't go the same way as last time."

"That's good… How are they? Your girls?"

"Shaken up, but fine. They're rather insistent upon having the issue never repeat." She answered, preparing to cast magic. "It's good to see them so fired up. [Arch Cure Critical Wounds]"

Tsa, seeing Night Silver again, a hopeful spark burned in his heart. I know what I feel, but it wouldn't be the right thing to do. She's already my brother's woman. "Welcome, Sil, and thank you for healing Issanth's wounds."

Spinning around in a familiar manner, though her usual smile was nowhere to be seen. It was clear that she was livid. "She did fight against, and survive a battle with players. Besides that, she's my sister, of course I'd come to heal her wounds."

"I see… Well then, what can you tell us about the players that attacked? Surely you know something about them."

"If you're asking for weaknesses and the like… I don't have any specifics. It's been 100 years since I played that game, and I had many experiences with other players during the time I did play." She answered. "That said, they are evil, and I have no care for their lives. Feel free to torture them as they die if you like. I'd be willing to help you with that by the way…"

A silence fell as the dragons realized just how terrifying the new smile upon Night Silver's face actually was. It sent shivers down their spines, a single thought racing through their heads. We are lucky she's on our side, damn that smile is terrifying.

"Anyway, I have some information about where they are currently. Somewhere in the southern desert, and it seems they are building a city there. We likely have a few months before they launch another attack. During this time they'll be gathering more information about everyone."

Tsa nodded, with a concerned look. "I understand. We should use this time to prepare for a confrontation with them…"

"Be careful with that, these aren't the type of people like the last group. They are quite a bit stronger, and more well equipped. In fact, if you encounter them without me, be prepared for no less than half of you to die in the process of killing them once-"

"Wait, how many times can they come back?"

"That's a very good question. The reason the others I killed 100 years ago didn't revive, is because they failed to acquire passive revive items. And Surshana wouldn't dare to resurrect them without my approval." She paused. "These players, on the other hand, have a truly dangerous arsenal. It's possible they could have given me a run for my money if I hadn't grown since I arrived. That being said, I can confidently say that none of them are lvl 100 anymore. Not after they were killed. 7 of them-"

"We saw someone unfamiliar nearby, she was clearly powerful, and it definitely wasn't you. Her figure was far more exaggerated in certain places."

"Then there's 8 of these players. They seem intent upon killing all of the other powers… Let's call them something."

Tsa, had been worried about there being a single enemy, now knowing there are 8 of them, his mind went racing. These are greedy, evil players. Sure the last group wasn't too friendly against the great mother, but they had their reasons. And it wasn't like they wanted to rule over the world. Or kill just for the sake of it. They wanted to create a place where their people could live in peace and safety… "We will call these evil players, the Eight Greed Kings. We can change it later if we find there are more."
