Chapter 172 - 171: Kaecilius' Salvation and Liberation!

Inside the ring's world, the diameter stretched to 0.1 light-years.

Here, there was a massive continent, spanning tens of millions of kilometers in both length and width.

Countless planets floated in the void, orbiting the continent.

Aside from this, the rest of the area was a vast, empty cosmic space.

Originally, this small inner world was shrouded in darkness, and everything could only be detected through spiritual perception.

It was only after Lyon inserted a star into it that there was finally light, though the surroundings still looked desolate.

Lyon landed with nine people on a small planet about the size of Earth.

The enormous continent floated overhead, faintly exuding a gravitational force even more terrifying than Earth's.

Lyon manipulated the power of the world to create an atmosphere on the planet.

Then, with a "Finite Incantatem," he lifted the Stunning Spell from Kaecilius.

Kaecilius, with his long hair tied into dreadlocks, shuddered and slowly opened his eyes.

At first, he saw his followers lying on the ground like himself, each pale but otherwise unharmed.

Then he scanned the surroundings, seeing an entirely unfamiliar environment, barren land, swirling yellow sand, and Lyon standing amidst the dust, spotless and untouchable.

That man he had seen before, in a photo—it was the new Supreme Sorcerer of Kamar-Taj, the one whom the slain sorcerers had said was also Superman.

Without needing to think, Kaecilius knew that after being stunned by magic, he had been captured by this Superman.

Although the current situation was clearly extremely unfavorable to him, Kaecilius still remained frighteningly calm.

He pushed himself off the ground, looked up at the sky, then scanned his surroundings, finally fixing his gaze on Lyon.

Throughout it all, he showed no signs of panic.

"A strange dimension. You brought us here, is it because you want to exile us to an alternate dimension?"

With a flick of his wrist, Kaecilius suddenly conjured a phantom-like, transparent space spear out of thin air.

"You're the new Supreme Sorcerer, Agamotto's latest chosen one, Superman, right?"

Kaecilius stared straight at Lyon, as if searching for a flaw.

"Not all of that is accurate, but I'm not considered Ancient One's disciple," Lyon folded his arms. "Looks like you're thinking about resisting again?"

Kaecilius's shadowed gaze paused. After a few seconds of silence, he dissipated the space spear in his hand.

Even though he could continuously draw on the power of the Dark Dimension… However, trying to defeat a monster like Superman, who could withstand nuclear explosions, was still off by several magnitudes.

Still, he felt no fear in his heart.

The energy of the Dark Dimension gave him a unique advantage in the realm of space manipulation.

He believed he had hidden cards, and even Superman might not be able to kill him.

Kaecilius circled around Lyon for a couple of steps. "Superman, I have no intention of being an enemy to you or to Kamar-Taj."

"Then why did you attack the London Sanctum?" Lyon realized he was trying to start a debate, so he went along with it.

Kaecilius clasped his hands behind his back. "It was not an attack, but salvation."

"How so?" Lyon played the straight man.

"The Ancient One has lived for centuries, but her long life did not come from the Vishanti. It came from the Dark Dimension."

Kaecilius spoke persuasively.

"The Dark Dimension transcends time, eternal and unchanging, gathering countless worlds like Earth."

"Superman!" He suddenly turned to look at Lyon. "Life on Earth is too short-lived. Everything is fleeting. Even the warm sun will one day fall into deathly silence."

"But if we reach the Dark Dimension, all life—a tree, a fish, an ant—can become eternal!"

"Earth will merge with other worlds and find a new path of existence."

"And we shall gain eternal life!"

Kaecilius' gaze burned like a blazing fire. He spread his arms wide, as if embracing the entire universe.

"Time is the true enemy of all things! Once we transcend time, we transcend everything!"

"We never attacked the London Sanctum! It wasn't an attack—it was salvation for every lost sorcerer!"

Lyon raised an eyebrow. "You're calling your attempt to kill everyone there salvation?"

"Exactly. It was their salvation and liberation!" Kaecilius showed no shame at all.

He genuinely believed it, without a hint of guilt.

"Before reaching eternity, any sacrifice is but a speck of dust scattered across the endless universe."

Kaecilius' eyes blazed with fervor. Seeing that Lyon seemed moved, he pressed on. "Join us, Superman! Your life deserves to be immortalized and sublimated within the Dark Dimension!"

"Sounds pretty good!" Lyon showed an excited smile and reached out his hand, gripping Kaecilius' tightly.

"I'm in. What do we need to do? Offer Earth as a sacrifice to the Dark Dimension?"

"Exactly… once we return, we just need to destroy the three Sanctums, and then we can present Earth to the great Dormammu!"

Kaecilius hesitated for a moment, a little surprised that the persuasion had gone so smoothly.

It seemed that this Superman was an ambitious man — truly excellent news.

No matter what intentions this new Sorcerer Supreme might be harboring deep inside, if even the leader of Kamar-Taj turned to embrace the Dark Dimension, how could they possibly fail this time?

Kaecilius was about to propose that they quickly return to Earth, but Lyon suddenly pointed toward the massive continent above their heads and said, "I have an idea. Right now, this dimension is an ownerless world. Why don't we offer it up to Dormammu first?"

"An ownerless world?" Kaecilius' eyes lit up. "Are you sure this is an ownerless world?"

"Of course I'm sure. In fact, this is the inheritance dimension of the Sorcerer Supreme — it's the final line of defense against dimensional demons," Lyon said smoothly, fabricating it on the spot. "If we offer this dimension to Dormammu, we'll surely be held in even greater esteem once we reach the Dark Dimension!"

Kaecilius was moved.

He questioned Lyon a few more times about details regarding the ownerless world, then personally observed the operation of this dimension.

Finally, he slapped his thigh, convinced Lyon's idea was indeed a great one.

"We'll need to cast the spell together, using our own coordinates as the fuse, so that the great Dormammu can descend and devour this world!"

Kaecilius used dimensional energy to awaken the eight followers.

Then, in the wilderness, he arranged a ritual formation.

He took out a page from the Book of Cagliostro regarding the worship of Dormammu and carefully placed it on the ground.

He even invited Lyon to recite the first line of the incantation, but after being politely declined, he regretfully began the prayer himself.

"In the name of loyal servants, offering a place never before seen, the great deity shall return to the one and only..."

The nine of them formed a circle and softly chanted the ritual spells recorded on the page.

Lyon stood to the side, arms crossed, coldly observing.

Suddenly, he sensed an immense and eerie aura rapidly approaching from beyond the dimension, growing thicker by the second.

Strands of Dark Dimension energy began to seep into the small dimension.

That energy passed through the dimensional membrane and penetrated inside, like thick smoke during a fire pouring through every crack, becoming denser and denser.
