Wanda's lips moved slightly.
After a few seconds, she naturally shifted her gaze. "About... the same, I guess."
In reality, Wanda's training consisted of Lyon giving her some illusion and telekinesis manuals he had compiled from native civilizations, letting her study on her own, then periodically checking her progress and fighting against her with abilities of similar form.
Over the course of roughly two months, Wanda had grown tremendously, but the process had also been rather rough.
After all, getting injured during battles was unavoidable.
Her messy "Shamate" hairstyle and the bruises all over her body were the result of fighting Lyon.
Just a few minutes ago, she had still harbored some faint resentment toward Lyon for being so ruthless during every training session.
But now, after hearing Pietro's experiences, Wanda suddenly felt that she was actually quite lucky—and that Lyon had been rather gentle with her.
So when faced with Pietro's question, she gave a guilty little smile.
"Pietro, you need to be strong!" she encouraged. "We've both completed our training and grown stronger, haven't we?"
At this, Pietro really started to doubt himself a little.
He stared blankly at Lyon. "Could it be... I'm really just too weak?"
"Ehm.." Lyon smiled. "Everyone has moments of weakness. You just felt too repressed because you were training alone. Having emotions is normal. Don't doubt yourself."
"So this is normal..." Pietro looked at Lyon and suddenly felt like he was truly despicable.
Lyon had trusted him so much, spent time training him, helped him develop his superpowers, and yet here he was, crying and complaining.
Was this how he repaid Lyon's kindness?
Thinking about this, Pietro vigorously wiped his tears with his already tattered sleeve.
His eyes were still red, but now they were filled with determination. "I understand! Lyon, don't worry, I will definitely use what I've learned in these two months to protect the Sanctum!"
Lyon looked at him with gratification. "Pietro, I knew I wasn't wrong about you. Then go with Wong to assist at the Hong Kong Sanctum. The safety of Earth will depend on you!"
Pietro, even more fired up after hearing this, shouted "Yes!" and moved to stand beside Wong.
Teenagers like Pietro, whether they were in their teens or twenties, were always the easiest to stir emotionally.
All you had to do was talk to them about saving the world, protecting the planet, or that everything depended on them.
They would then grab their spears and clubs, roaring as they charged at the enemy.
At that moment, they would feel in their hearts that they were unimaginably heroic, that every sacrifice was worthwhile, and even death would be glorious.
It wasn't just Pietro.
Sometimes Lyon was the same way.
After all, he had died in his previous life because he acted bravely for justice.
Because of this, Lyon knew very well how to comfort someone like Pietro.
Besides, the training he gave Pietro had indeed been done with great care.
You had to remember, in the movies, Pietro was a speedster who still got shot dead by bullets... yeah.. that was too embarrassing.
If Lyon hadn't trained him rigorously, he worried that when facing dimensional creatures, Pietro might be casually stabbed to death by some random grunt's claw — gifting the enemy a free kill.
Then Lyon turned to Wanda.
"Wanda, you'll stay here at the Sanctum with Banner. Like him, whichever of the three sanctums faces the worst situation, you'll head there."
After nearly two months of training, Wanda's improvement could only be described as unreasonable.
At the very least, when Lyon fought her head-on now, he had to use telekinesis at the mid-to-late planetary level.
That was a force reaching tens of thousands of tons.
Of course, Wanda's strength came solely from the chaos magic side.
Her physical strength was still stuck at around thirty tons, even after being injected with the SS1-type serum.
At this level of physique, within Lyon's small team, aside from Wong and Mordo, any other person who managed to get close could easily subdue Wanda.
After all, when Wanda used chaos magic, she still needed a casting gesture.
Although those hand movements weren't truly necessary, subconsciously she believed they were, and it was hard for her to overcome that.
And just that tiny bit of time was enough for others to strike first and take her down.
"I understand," Wanda nodded in response.
She and Pietro had been brought here by Lyon precisely to help protect the Sanctum.
And now, having been awakened to their powers and specially trained, it was only natural they would obey orders.
Lyon then turned to look at the other four, asking about the state of their preparations.
Wong answered, "The three Sanctums are fully prepared for war! We can begin the plan."
"We'll block all the attacks, but Lyon, you need to be careful yourself!" Mordo said.
"I will," Lyon replied as he walked over to Kaecilius.
"I'll take this guy with me... but, something's still missing."
"Right, we can't leave behind Kaecilius's escaped accomplices either."
Lyon activated his super vision and super hearing simultaneously, quickly locking onto the positions of Kaecilius's followers.
In everyone's eyes, Lyon's figure suddenly blurred for a moment.
Then, several unconscious bodies appeared on the floor.
They were all dressed in identical robes, their eye sockets darkened with the same "Dark Dimension smoky makeup" style as Kaecilius.
"Are these the accomplices Kaecilius brought when he attacked the London Sanctum?" Lyon asked Wong.
Wong's gaze swept over the faces, marveling, "All of them are here, and five more to spare!"
"Then let's treat it as a buy one, get five free deal."
Lyon used telekinesis to float the unconscious followers to his side, then with another wave of his hand, pulled Kaecilius in front of him.
"I'm off to pay Dormammu a visit. Until I return, whether or not anything happens, you must all remain on high alert for war."
With the eight in tow, he walked toward the World Ring, which had been anchored where the Eye of Agamotto originally was, and stepped inside.
Lyon's figure disappeared.
The library fell into silence.
Everyone present shared the same feeling: a mix of tense anticipation and unease.
Suddenly, Pietro spoke up, "The power of Superman really is beyond reason."
The others turned to look at him.
He quickly explained, "Look, something like finding those accomplices just now—if it were in a DC comic, Batman would have needed at least two full issues of investigation."
"But Lyon? He just stood there, casually used his superpowers to search, and found them all!"
"And then he used super speed to bring them here in the blink of an eye. Isn't that completely unreasonable?"
Pietro muttered, "Even my only ability, super speed, isn't as fast as his."
"No wonder the comic editors always liked writing plots where the Superman can't arrive in time to save the day."
"If a Superman like him were there from the start, a whole comic volume would shrink down to just a few pages."
Hearing Pietro's rambling complaints, Banner and the others couldn't help but laugh.
Truthfully, they'd all wanted to say it long ago.
Lyon was so ridiculously strong, it was almost abnormal!
And the worst part was, even that wasn't enough—he was still constantly trying to get even stronger!
How could anyone else not be frustrated?
"Alright, boys... oh, and one girl," Tony said, clapping his hands. "Let's save the chit-chat for later. Right now, it's time to head out and defend our assigned Sanctums."
He was the one among them most worried about Lyon.
However, Pietro's interruption not only eased the uneasiness in everyone's hearts, it also made Tony realize—
Lyon was already so strong that it was beyond their comprehension.
His worry was completely useless.
So rather than worrying about Lyon, it would be better to hurry and rush toward their own battlegrounds.
The title of Iron Man, even in the face of dimensional creatures, could not lose its luster!
"Let's not get careless, Tony," Wong and Mordo both nodded, stepping into their respective portals leading to each Sanctum.
"Buddies, if anything unexpected happens, make sure you notify me immediately!" Banner flexed his biceps. "This time, I'll let Hulk take over without hesitation!"
"Got it!" Tony made an OK gesture and disappeared into the portal.
Wanda also shouted toward Pietro, who was following Wong, "Pietro, be careful! If you're in danger, contact me!"
"Don't worry, don't worry!" Pietro wiped his nose. "The training I went through these past two months wasn't for nothing. Even if ten thousand enemies come at once, I can handle it easily!"
Across countless parallel universes of the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.. For the first time, Kamar-Taj was about to proactively launch a war against a dimensional demon.
The battle was about to ignite!
