The cyan Fire Lotus slipped from the fingertips of Lancelot, but it did not immediately ignite the Spider Corpse. Instead, it danced back and forth on the ground, leaving trails of fire that gradually formed a mysterious Array. Once the Array was nearly complete, Lancelot took a slight breath and once again drilled into the corpse of the Demon Spider leader through the opening he had just made.
When the Vampire girl and her companions returned, they were met with a raging inferno blazing in the cave, the searing heat almost rendering it impossible for them to stand, yet they found no trace of Lancelot anywhere.
Despite this, the companions were not worried. Having spent so long with Lancelot, they had already guessed where their miraculous friend would be at this moment. The blaze seemed to burn for an exceptionally long time; whether it was the imposing body's extraordinary resistance to fire, or whether the cyan-blue flame was not as hot as it appeared was uncertain.
