We walked into my house and Lil immediately rushed to the shower while Mordy and Roland grabbed a chair to relax in and Ladon went off to go sleep in the corner. Brick challenged me to a game of air hockey and of course I was more than happy to show him who the master was. We all ignored the Claptrap unit muddling about the place. Let me tell you that man was scary competitive and what started as a friendly game soon spanned the entire room in puck warfare as he hit it HARD. As anyone who has ever played the game can tell you those pucks ricochet when they are struck too hard and no one is safe.-
Eventually I just let him win because the damage he was causing wasn't worth the bragging rights in my opinion. Lil finished her shower and came out in the same clothes she went in with which caused me to frown.
"Do you just have the one outfit?" I asked and she nodded.
"Thought I'd be able to get some more clothes while I was on planet, obvious that failed." she said helplessly.
"The rest of you got similar stories?" I asked seriously and they all agreed more or less. I sighed at that "Alright everyone send me your sizes so I can make you all some new clothes. I'll throw in the armor plating as well while I'm at it." I said and they all immediately sent me their sizes with Bricks of course being the largest.
With this information in hand I headed into my crafting room and approached my maker thingy and grabbed the orb and began to put in my order for what I wanted it to craft. -
I went with two sets of three different types of outfits for each of them. The first type was the full body suit that I myself wore under my pants and jacket. The second was a simple pair of leather jeans and a T-shirt with armor plated stomach, chest, shoulders and back. The jeans had armor plates on the groins, thighs, knees and shins. The third type of clothes was basically sweat pants and baggy hoodies for relaxation. I also stuffed my looted stuff from the mine into my deconstructor thing before having my machine shit out the clothes.-
I collected the clothes and walked out to the main area and tossed each person their stuff.
"Whys it all gray?" Mordy asked confused.
"It's the default color setting, besides it's not like it costs you anything so don't complain." I said as I grabbed a seat myself.
"He's right, it's better than not having extra clothes at all." Roland said as he casually stole the next shower.
Lil went to one of my empty rooms to get changed after that and I grabbed my gun maintenance kit and started polishing and cleaning my gun. Morty asked to use the kit after me and I had no issue with that and handed it over after I was done.-
Once Roland was done with his shower he had changed into the hoodie but mixed it with the leather jeans. Brick grabbed the next shower followed by Morty and then finally me. Unlike the rest though my loungewear was a simple pair of shorts with nothing covering my chest. Thanks to this they all got a full eyeful of my tattoos for the first time. The guys didn't know that the sheer area covered by them was abnormal but Lil absolutely fucking did.-
"What's up with your tattoos, mine don't cover even half the area yours do?" she asked curiously.
"Originally they weren't much different from yours, just on my right side instead of the left. As I gained elemental traits and a copy of Maya's siren powers though they grew to cover more of my body. I have a theory that when I get all the siren powers and all the elemental traits and fuse them my whole body will be covered in the things. That's a far in the future type deal though as I haven't even found a cryo or corrosive elemental trait other than the resistance trait for corrosion." I said verily.
"You can fuse siren traits!?" Lil exclaimed and I shook my head.
"It's not that simple, like fucking usual. While I believe I can do so in the future I can't fuse the individual traits themselves so I am pretty sure I need all the traits to fuse them. Same applies to the [elemental body] traits." I said with a helpless look.
"And what happens if you somehow manage to fuse all these things?" Morty asked curiously.
I shrugged "Fuck if I know. My theory is godhood or at the least the closest to it I can get with the least amount of effort." I say honestly.
"Godhood? How do you figure?" Roland asked skeptically.
"For siren traits each one holds at least a single complete law or rule of the universe itself right? So my thought is that with all of them gathered into a single person it would result in a god or at the very least something close enough. For the elemental side of things I assume the fusion of all of them will give me another law or rule of the universe like [energy] or [destruction] or something like that, not sure though." I explained.
"The logics there even if it sounds kinda far fetched." Morty said and even Roland who was skeptical still couldn't deny that.
"Let's assume you somehow pull off this whole becoming a god thing, what then?" Lil asked curiously.
"I haven't given it much thought but if I had to say probably keep doing what I was before that point. Getting new traits and lifeforce. If I can't find any new traits I could always try my hand at the whole ruling thing, bring order to Pandora and all that jazz." I said with a chuckle.
"That reminds me but what was up with the whole vault key fragment earlier?" Morty asked changing the subject.
"The key fragment is not JUST a key fragment but has some sort of data storage and projection Eridian tech built into it." I say as I pull out the fragment. I point at the concave glowing top "This is an energy projection and collection point or at least one part of one. If I am not wrong when all pieces of the key are gathered and charged it can be used to project whatever saved data is on the storage medias." I explained seriously.
"Now that you mention it that fragment does look different than the vault keys you already have. And I don't just mean the shape." Morty said seriously.
"Any idea what's on it?" Lil asked but I shook my head.
"Without all the parts theres no way to know. Fragments already fully charged though which is why this bit here is glowing like that." I said pointing at the curvy glowing lights on the outside of the fragment.
"So nothing really changed by knowing this." Roland stated and I had to agree.
The plan was always to go and open the vault after collecting all the pieces of the key so nothing really changed by knowing that there was more to the key than being a key. Maybe the AFTER we opened the vault would be different but none of us had planned that far ahead. Hell there was no fucking guarantee that we'd even make it to opening the vault since the fragments were scattered like they were. If we were lucky they had all been gathered by bandits and we just had to chew our way through the ravenous, rapacious hordes to get them.-
If we were unlucky however we might be forced to spend quite the time looking for the fragment and THEN the vault they went to because yes that is a thing that is sorta fucking important. Just collecting the key is not enough as you still need to know where to stick it or end up with an awkward situation. I and the Jakobs had this exact issue with Baal three at this exact moment as the key for that planet went to multiple locks and we only knew of the one I already opened.-
I put those thoughts aside for later though and broke out another bottle of my tequila though this time with shot glasses since Brick couldn't be trusted with the stuff. Ladon sniffed the glass I was hold before snorting in displeasure as the fumes stung it's nostrils. This brought laughs to everyone and we just sat around drinking. Once the bottle was empty I headed over to my armory and dropped off the new guns for it before sending the books I had involving her powers to Lil. She spent the next Pandoran day reading those when not sleeping, eating or otherwise indisposed.-
Roland mostly relaxed and worked out or performed maintenance on his guns and turret. Brick lost himself in the sim room since he insisted on beating his "high score" survival time in the third highest difficulty. The most terrifying part is that while he actually "died" a lot sooner since he was alone this time his record was actually starting to improve as he adapted. Morty pretty much just drank, slept and shot Rakk to pass the time. I though spent most of my time collecting the trash around Fyrestone and converting it into raw materials that I turned into vehicle parts since I was kinda tired of hanging off the side of the runners since we could only get two at a time. I also integrated the traits I had pending as well.
