This is a show of strength, a time to demonstrate the village's power. There's no need to hold back.
Moreover, Kazuki's intention is clear: seize the opportunity to eliminate others.
I don't want to see so many people pass the assessment!
Of course, it would be even better if none of them passed.
Since the Cloud Village is being stubborn, let's show them whether the Leaf Village is so weak that anyone can step on us.
Hostility, huh?
Then let's just kick them all out.
"....."
Is it really that exaggerated?
Kakashi isn't sure what to say.
But Kazuki is the team leader, and his words are commands.
However, eliminating all the teammates in front of countless spectators—is that really appropriate?
Could it provoke the other villages?
"I'll do my best."
Kakashi doesn't dare to speak too confidently; he doesn't have the same level of confidence as Shisui.
But eliminating some people should be doable.
However, if he's expected to easily eliminate anyone he encounters, his strength might not be enough.
"Alright, just do your best."
Kazuki doesn't have high expectations for Kakashi. With his strength and the tendency to end up in a stalemate, he'll likely struggle against anyone.
Kazuki is relying on himself and Shisui. Kakashi just needs to watch.
"The assessment is about to begin. Representatives from each village, please come forward to draw numbers. Everyone must draw."
For this assessment, the Cloud Village has made extensive preparations, and the content is quite unique.
Traditionally, the second stage of the assessment should involve intelligence gathering and combat.
But the Cloud Village has managed to come up with something different.
After the proctor announced the rules, representatives from the five major villages lined up to draw numbers.
Fortunately, everyone remained relatively composed and didn't compete over the order of drawing.
Even so, the tension was palpable.
Once inside the arena, everyone would be competitors. Even though the Sand, Stone, and Cloud Villages are hostile toward the Leaf, they would also fight each other and try to eliminate one another.
Soon, it was the Leaf's turn to draw.
Kazuki opened his slip: Number One.
Shisui drew Number Two, and Kakashi got Number Three.
The goal is to scatter participants from all five villages and have them enter from three different zones, gathering intelligence while searching for teammates?
Kazuki understood the Cloud Village's plan.
After everyone had drawn their numbers, the proctor announced:
"In the valley below, we have placed some intelligence scrolls. You need to enter from the corresponding zones, collect these scrolls, and each village must gather scrolls numbered One, Two, and Three to pass the assessment."
"Now, those who drew Number One, follow me."
After exchanging glances with Shisui and Kakashi, Kazuki followed the proctor, accompanied by other participants who had drawn Number One.
Maki, Mabui, Mei Terumī, and a random Stone Village ninja, along with Kazuki, were assigned to Zone One.
"What a coincidence."
Kazuki glanced at Mei Terumī, who wasn't far from him.
At this stage, Terumī hadn't yet developed the commanding presence she would later have. She lacked the aura of a strong leader.
"It is quite a coincidence, but no promises," Terumī teased, wagging her finger.
"Ha ha ha..."
Kazuki couldn't help but laugh, surprised that Mei Terumī had such a playful side when she was younger.
The others coldly watched Kazuki and Mei Terumī chatting, their eyes filled with caution.
They were worried that Kazuki and Mei Terumī might team up due to their personal relationship.
Noticing their reactions, Mei Terumī warned Kazuki:
"Everyone seems to have a lot of hostility toward your Leaf Village. Want to team up?"
"Doesn't matter."
Kazuki didn't care about these minor details. Whether they were hostile toward the Leaf or not wouldn't change their fate:
"As for teaming up, maybe next time. Next time, for sure."
If they were going to play, they might as well go all out.
Kazuki had no interest in teaming up with the Mist Village. The Leaf could handle all competitors on its own, including the Mist Village.
"....."
As if this kind of assessment would happen many times. Mei Terumī rolled her eyes at Kazuki and decisively distanced herself, ignoring him.
Soon, under the proctor's guidance, the five of them arrived at the entrance to Zone One.
In the distant arena, a large crowd of spectators had filled the stands.
Everyone looked up at the large screen hanging in mid-air. On the high platform of the arena, five chairs were set up, with representatives from the five major villages seated there.
Unfortunately, one chair was empty.
After Koharu Utatane's death, Kazuki became the village's representative.
But since he was also a participant, the chair remained empty.
Raikage sat in the center chair, casually watching the screen.
The representatives from each village sat quietly, staring at the screen, no one speaking.
It was time.
At the three entrances, participants from each village entered the arena one by one.
At the entrance to Zone One, Kazuki was the last to enter. Once inside, he didn't rush to chase anyone.
Instead, he calmly made his way toward Zone Two.
To pass this stage, participants needed to collect scrolls numbered One, Two, and Three, then reach the exit in the blank zone.
Rather than chasing people right away, Kazuki preferred to deliver a fatal blow at the last moment.
Give them a little hope first, then crush it.
As for whether this would offend anyone, Kazuki didn't care.
Of course, if someone came to him willingly, he'd gladly accept their "kindness."
"Fighting has broken out!!"
"In Zone Two, it's the Leaf Village's Uchiha Shisui and the Stone Village's Tsuchiwa Dō!"
"They're really fighting!!"
No one expected the fighting to start so soon after entering the arena. Many spectators exclaimed in surprise, their eyes glued to the screen.
"It seems your village's ninja is quite confident. I hear the Leaf's Uchiha Shisui is a genius who made a name for himself in the Third Great Ninja War."
A's gaze shifted to the Stone Village's representative, and the Mist and Sand representatives also looked over.
A was stirring the pot, but the Stone Village's representative proudly said:
"Uchiha Shisui is the Leaf's genius, but Tsuchiwa Dō is also a strong ninja from our village. I believe he—"
"This can't be!!!"
Before the Stone Village's representative could finish boasting, he shot to his feet in shock.
His eyes were wide, fixed on the screen.
