"Heavenly Hand Power... I wonder how much stronger it will be when both eyes are Rinnegan." Uchiha Madara's Rinnegan ability, Limbo, could only create one shadow with a single eye, but when both were Rinnegan, it increased to four. Based on this logic, Sasuke's Heavenly Hand Power would certainly be greatly enhanced when both eyes became Rinnegan.
"Not bad. Next time you meet Naruto, he'll be in for a big surprise." Seeing that Sasuke had successfully completed his Sage Chakra training, Daniel Davis smiled.
Of course, at this point, Sasuke could only use Sage Mode. Reaching the Sage Body level would require a long period of growth.
"Why do you keep bringing him up? According to you, he and I should be enemies in the future." Sasuke said, expressionless.
"That depends on how you view it. Alright, we've spent enough time here. It's time to leave."
"If I go find Itachi now, can I defeat him?" Sasuke asked after a moment of silence.
"You seem eager, but unfortunately, while you're strong now, you're still not on Itachi's level. The power of the Mangekyo Sharingan far surpasses that of an ordinary Sharingan. You'll need more training. However, knowing Itachi, he won't kill you, so if you want to face him now, it's not impossible."
"I'll defeat him with my own power."
If Sasuke hadn't learned the truth, he would have already rushed to confront Itachi. But even now, knowing the truth, he still wanted to face Itachi and confirm things himself. He wanted to defeat Itachi with his own strength, not because Itachi held back. This was his way of seeking revenge, to show Itachi that all his choices were wrong.
"There's nothing left for us here." Just as they were about to leave, Tachikaze approached, holding up a handheld game console. "Hey, the game's finished."
"I only brought this one. Play it for now. Next time, I'll bring you more games if I get the chance." During their time in Ryuchi Cave, Daniel and Tachikaze, one of the three elders, had grown somewhat familiar. Likely due to the lack of outsiders in Ryuchi Cave, Tachikaze was curious about both Daniel and Sasuke. To keep her from disturbing their training, Daniel had given her a handheld game console, and she quickly became addicted. It wasn't surprising, given that Ryuchi Cave was incredibly boring, and the elders couldn't leave the cave freely. Having a new form of entertainment naturally captivated her.
After she broke three consoles, Daniel had to teach her how to recharge them using Lightning Release to stop her from asking him for help every time.
"Don't forget, okay?"
"Don't worry, I won't forget. Even if I don't come here, I'll have Sasuke use Reverse Summoning to send you more."
"Kid, as soon as you get back, use Reverse Summoning and send it to me." Tachikaze floated over to Sasuke, staring him down.
"If we brought the Oasis VR game to this world, that would be something... an online war between the five great villages," Daniel thought, grabbing Sasuke's shoulder. After leaving Ryuchi Cave, they teleported back to Orochimaru's southern base with a Flying Thunder God Jutsu.
Having marked the location beforehand, moving around was quite convenient. As for the chakra cost, it was similar to using Apparition—longer distances consumed more chakra.
"Jugo, let's see how you feel now." Back at the southern base, Daniel immediately found Jugo and used the sealing technique he had learned from the White Snake Sage on him.
"What... is this?" Jugo was visibly excited as he moved around, testing his body. Due to his condition, Jugo had suffered a lot of discrimination and even faced attempts on his life as a child.
"Your body should be stable for now. Next, you'll join Sasuke's team and work with him. No problems with that, right?"
"Got it."
With Jugo's agreement, Sasuke's Snake Squad was once again fully assembled.
"Orochimaru is really going all out to get his hands free, huh?" Because his hands were sealed, Orochimaru couldn't conduct many of his experiments. As a result, he had shifted his focus to breaking the Reaper Death Seal. At the same time, he took the opportunity to study the new knowledge Daniel had provided him on the tablet.
With Daniel's assistance, the research progressed far more quickly than it did in the original story, especially since Daniel already had a general idea of how to break the seal.
"The Land of Rivers, traces of the Thunder Blade Fang have been spotted. Could it be Kurotsuchi Raiga? The Snake Squad could pay him a visit." One advantage of working with Orochimaru was access to his vast intelligence network, which spanned the entire Shinobi world, providing information about the five great villages and other strange occurrences.
By casting a wide net, Orochimaru's network gathered a lot of useless information, but it also yielded valuable intelligence, such as the location of hidden tombs and even the whereabouts of the Three-Tails.
Today, they received information about the Thunder Blade, one of the seven swords of the Mist.
"Didn't you want a ninja sword? Here's some intel about one." Daniel quickly found Sasuke's Snake Squad, who were resting. After the team was formed, they didn't just stay in the southern base; they sometimes went on missions, like capturing high-level wanted criminals to earn money and gain combat experience.
"Really?" Suigetsu immediately put down his game console and eagerly grabbed the report, but his excitement faded when he saw the details. He handed the file to Sasuke with a disappointed expression.
"Why does it have to be the Thunder Blade?" Suigetsu complained. Of all the Seven Swords of the Mist, the Thunder Blade was the least compatible with his Water Release techniques. While he could use it, it couldn't complement his abilities as well.
The Thunder Blade, like the Lightning Blade from Konoha, could convert non-elemental chakra into lightning, making it especially powerful in the hands of a lightning-style user by increasing the power of their jutsu and reducing chakra consumption.
"Since Suigetsu doesn't need this sword, do we still have to go?" Karin asked.
"Of course, I know Suigetsu doesn't want this sword," Daniel said. He hadn't come to the Snake Squad just for the sword.
"I'm not asking you to steal the sword. I need you to recruit its wielder." Daniel glanced at Zabuza before continuing. "If he refuses, tell him I can heal the child he's carrying."
In the Shinobi world, allies and subordinates were crucial, so Daniel didn't mind trying to recruit Kurotsuchi Raiga.
"Prepare to leave in ten minutes," Sasuke ordered, confirming the mission.
"Understood."
"Suigetsu sure is obsessed with games," Daniel mused, noticing that Suigetsu had become an avid gamer after discovering the handheld console. Outside of training, Suigetsu spent most of his time playing.
"Lightning Group and Blood Dragon Eye... Looks like I'll need to take a trip myself." After Sasuke and his team set out, Daniel pulled out another intelligence report detailing a failed assassination attempt on the Daimyo of the Land of Water by the Lightning Group.
The Lightning Group was a relatively well-known organization operating in the Lands of Hot Water and Water. They were a rare group of bandits who robbed the rich to help the poor and enjoyed a good reputation among the common folk.
However, good deeds didn't always lead to good outcomes.
"The Lightning Group? Why are you interested in them?" Orochimaru asked, surprised when Daniel mentioned his plan to find the group.
"That doesn't need much explanation, does it?" Daniel smiled.
"A prophecy, I assume?"
"Partly, but more than that, I don't want to see good people go unrewarded."
"Good people being rewarded? You actually believe that?" Orochimaru seemed surprised by Daniel's words.
"It's not about belief. It's about choices. Given the option, I think most people would choose to stand in the light rather than live in the shadows. I believe the father of that girl in the Lightning Group wouldn't want her to live in darkness."
Yuya Shiro En must have involved his daughter Chino with Sasuke in part to redeem her, though Sasuke eventually sent her to the Hidden Mist.
"You certainly know a lot. Can I ask, what's your real goal in cultivating Sasuke?"
"My goal? If I said it was for the peace of the Shinobi world, would you believe me?"
"Peace in the Shinobi world..." Orochimaru scoffed.
"You're really going to find the Lightning Group? Here, take this." Orochimaru handed Daniel a scroll from a nearby shelf.
"Interesting. Orochimaru is keeping an eye on the Lightning Group, huh? Is it because of Yuya Shiro En? Makes sense. Without someone backing them, this kind of organization would've been wiped out long ago."
Looking over the scroll's contents, Daniel shook his head. In the Shinobi world, robbing the rich to help the poor was dangerous, as the wealthy could easily hire top-level ninjas to exact revenge.
The Lightning Group had likely grown too accustomed to their favorable reputation, to the point where they thought they could kidnap the Daimyo of the Land of Water, one of the five great nations. But the Hidden Mist's Anbu were lying in wait, and the group suffered heavy losses.
"This group... really." After Daniel left, a small snake slithered out of Orochimaru
's arm. Orochimaru handed the snake a scroll, which it swallowed before disappearing.
Despite his hands being sealed, Orochimaru still had ways to get things done with the right methods.
"Take-no-village." Using the intelligence gathered, Daniel quickly arrived at the area where the Lightning Group was most active, a village located in a bamboo forest near the border of the Land of Hot Water. It was a beautiful place.
But despite the picturesque surroundings, the villagers weren't exactly good people. They had benefited from the Lightning Group's stolen wealth, which had improved their lives considerably. Yet, when the Lightning Group fell into trouble, the villagers betrayed them.
Chino and Fushin had once saved the villagers from bandits, and in return, the villagers allowed them to stay. With nowhere else to go, the two stayed and eventually formed the Lightning Group.
Although many other villages had benefited from the Lightning Group's charity, Take-no-village had received the most, eventually becoming greedy. After all, it's hard to define when someone has "enough" wealth.
Standing on a bamboo tree and gazing at the newly built homes in the village, Daniel shook his head. These houses were likely built with money stolen by the Lightning Group.
Boom, boom, boom!
Suddenly, a series of explosions echoed from the right, followed by screams and shouts. Daniel's figure vanished from the bamboo tree, rushing toward the source of the noise.
"Careful, her eyes are strange! Don't get close to her!" In a nearby field, two figures, one large and one small, covered in blood, were surrounded by six Hidden Mist Anbu. The smaller figure, a girl with crimson, slit-shaped eyes, possessed the Blood Dragon Eye.
The Mist Anbu were hesitant to approach, likely due to the strange explosions that had claimed their comrades.
But in the next moment, they pulled out kunai and shuriken, throwing them at the two in the center.
"Great Wind Breakthrough!" The young man next to the girl quickly formed hand seals, unleashing a Wind Release jutsu. A tornado spread out from the center, blowing the Anbu's projectiles away.
However, the wind soon died down, and the young man grunted in pain before collapsing.
"Is this the same Wind Release that could clash with Sasuke's fully transformed Susano'o? It's certainly powerful." As the Wind Release faded and the six Anbu prepared to attack again, Daniel summoned six green leaves, which pierced the throats of the Anbu before they could react.
"Are you two alright?" After dispatching the Anbu, Daniel appeared before the pair, speaking softly.
"Who are you?" The girl, her Blood Dragon Eyes glowing with suspicion, stared at him warily.
"No need to be tense. You can tell I'm not one of your pursuers. Otherwise, I wouldn't have killed them." Daniel gestured to the fallen Mist Anbu and smiled, spreading his hands.
"His injuries are serious. If we don't treat him soon, it'll be too late. And you're hurt as well. I know some medical ninjutsu. Let me take a look."
After hesitating for a moment, the girl nodded, though her expression remained cautious.
"Huh? No way... he's already dead." Daniel, who hadn't been too concerned at first, frowned after examining the young man on the ground. The man had already passed away. Despite Daniel's powerful healing abilities, none of them could bring someone back from the dead.
