"Yes. As per your instructions, the Valkyrie Corps has successfully regrouped and completed the first phase of training. We wanted to celebrate, so we've prepared some fine wine and food. We'd like to invite you to join the banquet. Do you have time?"
Slude answered respectfully, and posed the invitation.
Beside her, Hild seized the opportunity to poke her head out from behind Slude, chattering enthusiastically:
"The main dish is Lord Thor's divine ram! Slude borrowed it specially from the family—it tastes absolutely divine. You *have* to try it!"
Audlinde, who was reading a book nearby, couldn't help but nod, swallowing hard as a glimmer of longing crossed her normally expressionless face.
