Chapter 3938 - 3938

Chapter 3938: What Was Learned

Through round after round of battle, the undead servants used their own "sacrifice" to accumulate enough karma, allowing Lin Moyu to destroy these worlds without restraint and strengthen his World Burning Fire. By acting in accordance with the will of heaven and earth, even the Great Dao could not interfere with him.

Soon, Lin Moyu found the world of the Gold Silver Human Clan. The undead servants stormed in, quickly eliminated all living resistance, and located the origin core. Lin Moyu was now very practiced at this process.

No one really knew what the Gold Silver Human Clan was a mix of some unknown race and humans. Their bodies were alternately gold and silver, looking seven or eight parts human, but always somewhat strange. The Alien Alliance was full of odd looking beings, making the world more diverse, but not more splendid. For some reason, they were innately hostile to humans a trait Lin Moyu exploited.

A month later, the world of the Gold Silver Human Clan was completely gone, and the race vanished from the Soul Void. Lin Moyu continued to lure void beasts, refine worlds, and process soul crystals none of which conflicted with each other. Following the karmic threads, he swept through, finding the third and fourth worlds.

As several worlds in a row were destroyed, Lin Moyu's actions finally drew attention. Once a world was refined, anyone from that world even if they were in another world would die instantly, regardless of cultivation. The world carried their soul world; once that was gone, so were they.

The upper echelons of the Alien Alliance were shaken, and a powerful killing intent rose from their headquarters. Two powerful auras surged, scattering the chaotic mist, and two gigantic figures appeared in the void. Great Daos circled above them, and as these Daos appeared, billions of miles of void trembled.

Within the Redstone Great Spirit Domain's human faction, a powerful being slowly opened his eyes. He gazed into the distance. "Old fellows from the Alien Alliance, what are you up to? Did something major happen in the Great Spirit Domain?"

"Investigate!" he commanded, and someone immediately departed.

At the center of the Redstone Great Spirit Domain, a pair of giant eyes appeared on a massive stone. The stone glowed red, vanished into the void, and instantly scanned the entire domain. A deep voice came from the stone: "So it's him…"

Only the Redstone Emperor could hear this voice. The red glow grew stronger, and the Redstone Emperor stepped out from the light and disappeared.

Lin Moyu had no idea what a stir he'd caused, though he faintly sensed a powerful aura from afar. The aura carried a killing intent, spreading through the domain and reaching him.

"A Great Dao Lord!"

Sensing the strength of the aura, Lin Moyu smiled. "The World Will hasn't acted, nor has a World Lord, but the Great Dao Lord couldn't sit still."

"If a Great Dao Lord falls here, that would be interesting."

"But those guys will run at the first sign of trouble killing them won't be easy."

A Great Dao Lord can always escape back to the Origin Ancestral Land; killing them is very difficult. The Alien Alliance was indeed formidable while they had no Human Sovereign, they had two Great Dao Lords. For the human faction to survive in the Redstone Great Spirit Domain under such circumstances meant they must have Great Dao Lords as well. Great Dao Lords are rare, far fewer than Dao Lords. They are even stronger than top World Lords like Mu Sha. They do not rely on world power; with their own strength, they can burn the sky and destroy worlds.

Though in a real fight, a World Lord like Mu Sha, backed by a world and a formed World Will, would not be much weaker than a Great Dao Lord. But in Lin Moyu's view, in this universe, being a Great Dao Lord was the relatively correct path.

Feeling the killing intent of a Great Dao Lord, Lin Moyu wasn't concerned and continued searching for the next world. Of the sixteen worlds, he had already destroyed five eleven remained. These eleven were already doomed; otherwise, why bother with so much karma beforehand? Not to mention two Great Dao Lords even if an Eternal appeared…

Lin Moyu thought about it and decided he wasn't a match for an Eternal yet. If one showed up, he'd better let it go. At least Great Dao Lords couldn't stop him; as long as the Redstone Emperor didn't intervene, he had nothing to worry about in the Redstone Great Spirit Domain.

Thinking of the Redstone Emperor, Lin Moyu considered that maybe the Human Sovereign didn't come here because of the Redstone Emperor.

Suddenly, Lin Moyu sensed something and looked to the left, calling out, "Since the Emperor is here, please show yourself."

"Heh, Lin Daoist, your cultivation has greatly improved congratulations," came a deep, hoarse voice as the Redstone Emperor appeared, this time in human form as an old man.

Seeing him, Lin Moyu's soul rippled, and his brow furrowed deeply. "Senior, your appearance…"

The Redstone Emperor noticed Lin Moyu's reaction. "Is something wrong?"

Lin Moyu said, "Your appearance is very similar to an old man I once met."

The Redstone Emperor was moved. "You've met him?"

Lin Moyu realized he'd guessed right. "I met him once. He wore white robes and carried a gourd full of ancestral water, battered with countless holes."

At this moment, the Redstone Emperor looked almost identical to the white robed old man not just in appearance, but in aura as well. Lin Moyu was sure he wasn't mistaken; the Redstone Emperor was clearly imitating that person.

The Redstone Emperor trembled slightly. "You actually met that being."

Lin Moyu's heart stirred, and he probed, "If I'm not mistaken, he should be someone who took the final step, right?"

The Redstone Emperor didn't answer immediately, seeming to ponder for a long time before saying, "Perhaps so."

This answer surprised Lin Moyu the Redstone Emperor didn't actually know.

The Redstone Emperor continued, "Actually, none of us know what realm lies beyond the final step. No one has ever done it it's only said that he took half a step."

"But that half step already made him different. He must have learned something, but never told us."

Lin Moyu continued, "The one who took half a step should be the owner of the Ferry of Calamity, right?"

The Redstone Emperor nodded. "That's right, but whether he's really the owner of the Ferry, I can't say."

Things seemed to be getting more complicated. Lin Moyu asked, "Do you also want to go to the Ferry of Calamity?"

The Redstone Emperor replied, "Yes, and no. I want to go to the Ferry to ask him what he learned after taking that half step, and why it changed him so much."

"I also know you can't board the Ferry unless you've taken that half step. I'm just unwilling to accept it."

Lin Moyu thought for a moment. "Maybe he's not the only one who took half a step maybe several missing Emperors in history did, too."

The Redstone Emperor's expression changed dramatically. "What did you say?"
