He knew clearly that the bullet that killed Arabella had not come from Shane. In fact, Shane never fired the gun. He saw clearly who had killed Arabella, and the thought of that person alone sent shivers down his spine.
He shook his head slightly, trying to clear the memory. No one—absolutely no one—could know who killed Arabella. That was the only thing still keeping him alive. And if it ever got out, he would be dead.
