Chapter 198 - Chapter 197 - Mission: Demonic Tower of One Hundred Floors.

I'm changing everything here, I don't know why, but I put a very wrong piece of information when I created this arc, I said Scotland was the place they would travel to besides England, but Hogwarts itself is in Scotland.

I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that.

I'll have to fix this problem and change it to them going to Sweden instead of Scotland, and the dueling championship will be at Durmstrang.

I'll change that by Wednesday.

Third Person POV

Hogwarts.

...

...

It didn't take long for all the Hogwarts students to start coming out of a huge fireplace, along with dozens of them and the teachers.

Snape came a moment later along with the merging flames, as his gaze fell upon a huge hall with the teachers shouting to organize the students.

Snape ignored the commotion as the students seemed to look around the place in fascination; he continued on, seeing the paintings there, as there were at least a few dozen of them, some very large.

The system quickly started sending information since it was so close by, and initially, his arrival in Sweden became very pleasant when he saw there were two portals.

"This is good..." Snape murmured, while another even larger notification appeared, making Snape raise an eyebrow as the information was displayed in front of him.

[Mission created, there is a main dungeon in this country, Sweden, you will have to find it and conquer all its floors. Mission of the 100 Floors of the Demonic Tower!]

"Demonic Tower... like the monarch of demons, Baran?!"

Snape darkened suddenly.

This Monarch was supposed to be taking over the body of one of the heirs of the rings like Morou, so reading this name felt very strange to Snape, when the one who should be controlling the demons was the Demonic Monarch.

"What are you mumbling about?" Clarisse said beside him the next moment, confused as she looked at Snape.

"Nothing much."

He decided to move on as he closed the windows in front of him.

'Anyway... I'll have to see this for myself, especially to find this dungeon stating that I should search for it...'

He quickly thought and set it aside while turning his attention to some people approaching the professors who were responsible for the Hogwarts students.

"So you have come... that's good, it's a pleasure to see you again, Mr. Flitwick."

An elderly woman approached the short professor.

"Headmistress Harginar! It's been so long since I've seen you..."

The professor said directly as he shook hands with the teacher, who greeted him warmly.

They seemed like old acquaintances, while the other professors also made their introductions, with Rosaria being the most distant, with a handkerchief at her nose, since everyone smelled terrible to her.

The students also approached, waiting to be guided as the Hogwarts professors began the presentations.

"These are the Hogwarts students."

Professor Flitwick introduced them.

While everyone there wore winter clothes, they looked at the students with interest.

"Interesting, I've heard many things about your students, despite the bad situation happening in Great Britain..."

The woman murmured.

"Yes... Now let me introduce the headmistress of Durmstrang, Miss Harginar!"

The professor quickly introduced.

"Great, now let's go to the school."

The headmistress said.

"But first... you better put these on..."

She pointed her wand at the dozens of students as everyone's clothes began to change.

The simple cloak of each Hogwarts house that the students wore turned into an extremely thick coat, covering everyone, becoming one of their garments.

"I also advise you to put on a hat to warm your ears, if you brought any," she said.

Professor Flitwick sighed and looked at the students.

"Well, it's no surprise we're in the northernmost part of Sweden, so it will be extremely cold when we leave this hall," he said, as some, already prepared, quickly put on some extremely warm hat and others even changed the clothes Headmistress Harginar had placed on them for the personal ones they had brought.

Snape had also brought his own clothes, but decided to stay with the ones given while they began to leave the place under the teachers' instructions.

"Seems fun," Pandora couldn't help but murmur next to Snape and Clarisse as they left.

Quickly, a strong snowstorm revealed itself outside, and as soon as they opened the door, the freezing wind hit them, especially those not used to such intense cold.

"So cold!" someone shouted, even with their thick clothes.

"Do we really have to be in a place like this to participate in the tournament?" another student murmured dissatisfied.

"Come on, it'll be warmer in the carriages," said the Durmstrang Institute professors as they moved outside.

Quickly, the students began to follow, with some groans and cries of surprise at the snowstorm.

"Come on, get into the carriages!"

The professors demanded, as the carriages stood open and the students ran inside them.

As soon as the doors closed, the cold was replaced by a much more comfortable and warm feeling.

This went on for a while, as Snape once again shared the carriage with the same three women as always.

"It's so cold here," Rosaria murmured, hugging Snape's arm like a damsel in distress.

"Hey, what are you doing? You're a professor, you shouldn't be clinging to a student like that," Clarisse murmured, dissatisfied, while Pandora didn't seem to care much, just opening a small smile.

Snape stayed there with a raised eyebrow but said nothing.

In groups of four, the carriages began flying through the sky, facing the snowstorm, while they could see the other carriages through their inner lights, at the same time someone guided them to not stray from the path.

"Did you know that only one Norwegian Ridgeback is pulling us, while all the carriages are tied to it?"

Rosaria said.

"Wait, a dragon?! That Norwegian Ridgeback?"

Clarisse murmured.

"Yes, but this one is quite docile from what we've been told."

She said as they continued flying through the snowstorms with a little more than a dozen carriages.

This went on for about ten minutes until, finally, a huge castle began to be seen through the snowstorm.

Due to its strong glow, it was a frozen castle, but quite tall and lively, even in a place like that.

The carriages began to enter within its walls, stopping in front of the courtyard.

They left shortly after, moving inside as the doors opened and the students entered, guided by the Hogwarts professors and the headmistress along with her teachers.

"Young lady, it's so good to see you again," one of the professors at the entrance of the castle commented, as Snape walked beside Rosaria as they entered the place.

Rosaria was world-famous due to her family, being very wealthy and traveling the world over her two hundred years; so many people knew her, especially the great families and important figures from all countries.

Rosaria merely shrugged and continued walking beside Snape, ignoring that professor.

Many students were looking from the staircase at the entrance of the hall, where there was a spiral air staircase through the floors.

"Now let's proceed to the main hall, where we will begin the tournament's introduction," the headmistress said.

Quickly, the students began to follow, while the institute's students looked at them curiously and ran off as they got closer, gossiping.

It took a while, but they finally arrived and found a group of women and men also near the entrance, while Durmstrang's own students ran inside the place, leaving the two groups behind.

Seeing a group wearing a uniform different from Durmstrang's clearly meant they were from Beauxbatons Academy, from France, forming this dueling tournament with the three main magic schools of all Europe.

There was the Triwizard Tournament, in which usually these three schools participated and that had been created more than seven hundred years ago. However, due to an incident in 1792 — nearly two hundred years ago — involving a basilisk, the tournament had not been held since then.

Some other tournaments were still organized, but without the same level of danger as that last one. Because of this, the Triwizard Tournament remained closed ever since.

This dueling tournament came to draw attention this time, as, with the dueling classes being reintroduced at Hogwarts, Professor Flitwick and Professor Longbottom, along with the headmaster, managed to enroll the school in this championship, quickly attracting Beauxbatons' interest as well. It would certainly be a stage for the media of all the magical Europe.

Gossip and conversations quickly started among the two groups, talking about both Durmstrang and the opposing group, while Durmstrang Institute students focused on observing the new students who had arrived.

"What are those blondes looking at?" Snape heard Clarisse ask at his side, as he saw some girls — most of them blonde — looking and pointing fingers at him while gossiping.

But Snape paid them no mind.

The door opened at that moment, as the headmistress whom Professor Flitwick had previously introduced returned, going up to a tall woman at the front of the Beauxbatons students, explaining something to her. Then she returned to Professor Flitwick to explain how the introduction would proceed, and then entered Durmstrang's main hall again.

"Beauxbatons!"

The next moment, a voice exploded from the other side, calling directly for Beauxbatons Academy.

When the door opened, they entered performing choreographies.

"Wait... are we going to have to do that?"

Clarisse seemed a little uncomfortable with it.

"Don't worry. Professor Flitwick already asked some to do the introduction," Rosaria said.

"Is everyone ready?"

Flitwick asked the students, who nodded.

"Now, as the third school participating in the tournament, we have Hogwarts!"

Harginar exclaimed from inside the place as the door opened for the Hogwarts students.

Quickly, they entered, with some students at the front pointing their wands upwards and launching fireworks — which Snape found quite tacky.

Even so, he kept watching hundreds of Durmstrang Institute students, all wearing their robes, each according to their school, while many quickly hunted for attractive people of both sexes.

And almost all seemed embarrassed by Hogwarts' introduction.

Snape was curious about something next to the headmistress of Durmstrang: there was a square-shaped covered object that quickly caught his attention, more than any other painting he was looking for, but Durmstrang was not like Hogwarts, and their paintings were quite limited.

They moved to a corner where a table was arranged just for them, on the opposite side of the Beauxbatons school.

"Well, tonight we welcome two schools from Europe. We already have half of the competitors," the headmistress of the Durmstrang Institute said.

"Half? So there are six schools?"

A Hogwarts student asked the professor, confused.

"Yes. We'll have a school from the United States, one from Brazil, and one from Africa also participating," he explained.

"It was a last-minute decision, we received the letters yesterday."

"As you know, we will have more schools coming to the tournament, and Durmstrang Institute has accepted their request. Let's first introduce the opening of the tournament for the newcomers. As you know, we will have a Duel Tournament edition, so that everyone has the chance to show their skills and reflexes, enchanting each other, while everyone will be watching you,"

at this moment, she pointed.

"Now, by my side, Araújo, the wizard president of Sweden, will be supervising the tournament. And the final prize will be none other than having a conversation with the renowned Astrid Bandear, one of the oldest witches in the world, who is over two thousand years old, has experienced much, and founded Durmstrang, as well as accumulated vast knowledge. The winner will have one hour to speak with her,"

the woman said, as the cloth covering the frame began to be removed, revealing a very elderly woman who waved to everyone with a smile.

"Hello everyone! I am Astrid. I will answer any questions you have. Having a chance to speak with me is unique,"

the woman said, while Snape raised his eyes, unable to believe he would find there what the system had marked so quickly.

If that really was the entrance to the Demonic Tower of one hundred floors, things were about to get a lot more interesting.
